[Q] Mono sound on video playback - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else noticed that mp4 videos playback in mono when using the system codecs? I've tried a few other video apps, some do playback with stereo sound, but have stuttering and dropping of frames.
All of them play back perfectly with no frame drop if you select system but sadly have mono sound.
I've tried using a2dp and the headphone jack.

Can not get sound over BT to headset while playing back video using WMP, music works

I am able to listen to music (mp3 files) using both WMP and GSPlayer with my
X01HT and a Motorola S9 BT stereo headset but when I try to watch a video
clip or movie, I then ONLY get sound coming from the handset's main speaker.
I have done searches for this problem here on XDA and the wiki and nothing
that directly addresses this problem. I did find a tweak for the A2DP settings
in the wiki which made a huge difference is sound quality but still no sound
with video playback through BT.
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?
TIA

About Speaker and Stereo songs.

Video Audio quality

Has the audio quality been improved on the S5?
On my s3 i could not capture a video at a loud concert because the audio was so loud and the playback on the video was so distorted and gross.
I just went to a concert and video recorded a few moments of the concert and the same thing. audio play back is horrible.
I see videos from iphones at loud concerts record the audio amazingly but it seems all the galaxy phone struggle with this. Am i missing a setting or something?

Audio output is included in audio recording when headphones with microphone is connec

Hello
I have developed an app with on one hand plays some sound and on the other hand it records an audio. I use AudioTrack to play sounds and MediaRecorder for recording.
The problem is that when I connect any headphones with microphone, all audio output is included in recording, which is not my desired effect.
I checked it only on various Samsung phones - on every of them the problem ocurred.
Is it possible NOT to include audio output in recording when headphones with jack are connected?
Thanks for any help
