I'm aware that there are TONS of Gingerbread roms. But the thing that has been keeping me back from flashing is that GPS is broken. Does anyone know of any ROM that has working GPS in GB??
If there was a working GPS for TB,all but the CM7 builds would have GPS in the list of working features.

Without working GPS drivers for GB, this will never happen. Eugene claims to have done it, but he's disassociated himself with XDA. Personally I've never seen any proof of that claim.

Yup Neither have I........... GB is missing the drivers the wierd thing is the map still works though move by move gps does not.........

Ugh, he never claimed tohave. He he talked about a method to get it working. Someone jumped the gun and assumed he had it working.....

I hear you, if the GPS isn't working, never mind. Is there any other roms that are really nice for the SGH-T959?
I like the rotation of the icons on the G2, I would like to add that feature to my SGH-T959.
I am also waiting for GPS working on Gingerbread. However, I might try CM7 this week. If map is working, it still can take me to the destination.

I got impatient and installed CM7. It's very nice. I think I'll have to do without maps.

You didn't have to point it out AGAIN that I was wrong, especially when someone posted the actual reply link showing where he said he got it working.
If you're going to tell someone that someone else said a specific thing, don't just tell them, show them. Because telling them doesn't do anything.

No doesn't work in CM7 either
Until we have a gingerbread leak or an ota for the vibrant, GPS will not work. It doesn't work on any 2.3 rom that runs on the vibrant.

Try this thing called google. I heard about it the other day and used it to try and find something. WOW, the information I was able to get from google was amazing, somehow they are able to find what I was looking for. It was like playing "Where's Waldo" and cheating...

yeah , you will need to remove the previous netflix apk, do it manually or use titanium

This is a buzzkill. Netflix needs to stop being lazy and make it work on ALL Android phones.
I'm FAR too lazy to flash a GB ROM just to watch Netflix. LAME!
Posted file doesn't work for me ( I'm in bamf 2.0-5, mr2 radio, imo 3.0.1 kernel). Just says " application not installed".
Has anyone found a working MyVerizon apk that will work with the 7/30 nightly synergy rom? I've tried multiple apk files found in other threads addressing this issue, but I always install it and then get a maintenance error. I've ran the fix permissions tool in Rom Manager but still no luck. Is there any suggestions for this issue?

Thanks for the attempt to help. I already had the sso engine, but just for the hell of it I decided to go ahead and redownload this one. After installing this engine I had the same issue as before. Im not a developer so I have no idea what could be the problem, but it would be great if someone could figure this out. I believe many people who have the new capped data plans would appreciate this.

Unfortunately, ATM there is not a working MyVerizon for Gingerbread ROMs. The problem exists on Verizon's end. They won't build an app for Thunderbolts with Gingerbread because officially the Thunderbolt doesn't have Gingerbread.
The price we pay for rooting, I guess.
I want it back too but I can wait. I'm not sacrificing root access for one app.

Completely untrue. I'm using the following MyVerizon.apk just fine on Gingeritis 3D V1.0 Beta VII.

I tried running that, and it wouldn't work, it said I had to update it. If you refuse the update, it closes. If you do update, it doesn't work.
I was using uberBAMF Sense 3.0.

Having trouble getting NFL mobile to work as well. From what I have gathered if you backed up data using TIBU these apks will work, if not your sol.
I am also on Gingeritis 3D VII, I installed My Verizon from this link and when I run the MyVZW and force me update. It screwed doesn't work anymore after updated. Just like Schedonnardus mentioned pretty much same issue in my side.

Any luck on modifying the updated version?
I am assuming you get the message that you have to install some vz log in software to use the app if so I found a work around. i loaded the latest ruu and backed up all system data using titanium. Once I did that I flashed back to bamf and then used titanium to restore the com.vzw.permissions apk once I did that I rebooted and my Verizon started to work. When I get to work tomorrow ill try to post the apk so we can see if it works for others

It should install no problem, but if you guys have a problem drop the file into system/app folder using root explorer. Once installed reboot then download my Verizon from the market.

I gave it a shot, but no luck. Still saying maintenance error or something along those lines. I think im just going to flash back and copy the working file myself. I've just been being lazy.

If you dont have a backup of the apk I will post it in the original thread. The reason it wasnt included is because I dont use it. I basically just made that rom for my use and after seeing alot of frustrated users who want to retain 4g services I decided to share the rom with the community. I have been extremly busy over the last few days.

Here is the Social Networking apk from OS 2.3.5. It's named something else but here it is...

Bummer, i figured this one would work. Tried throwing it in system and changing permissions and that didnt work. So then i installed it like any other nonmarket app and that wouldnt work either. Guess ill probably need mofs version. Thanks anyway though, much appreciated!

the one you have to be rooted to use...i have tried it with slim rom and it kinda made my phone buggy when i installed it so I was just wondering if they were going to make it part of the rom

ok let me clarify this....installing the app from the market or downloading it was causing the phone to reboot and freeze hence the reason i wanted to know if anyone knew if it was ever going to be included..on previous roms it worked fine as long as it was packaged in the rom. I appreciate the help but please dont keep telling me to download it already have the apk downloaded just wanted to know before I loaded it thanks
