[Q] Airplane Mode + bluetooth - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When travelling abroad this week I wanted to have my phone in airplane mode (whilst in the foreign country, not on the plane) to avoid data and call charges but leave bluetooth on for my headset.
Whilst WiFi could be turned on Bluetooth kept saying I was in airplane mode and wouldn't switch. i looked at a few toggle controls off the market and the same thing happened.
Is there a solution around this?
I was thinking a custom toggle that would turn off the phone and data but leave the bleutooth alone.

I had the same experience when I wanted to use my Bluetooth Headset on the a plane. I cannot switch on Bluetooth while in In-Flight Mode.
Maybe something to put in a custom ROM. I will put a post in that section.

How to always ENABLE (turn on) bluetooth on startup for wm6.1

I have a CDMA Sprint Touch Pro, which turns on flight mode and kills the bluetooth when the battery is low. I like to always leave my bluetooth on, but if the battery gets low and the device turns off my phone after enabling flight mode, I have to manually turn on the bluetooth again. But sometimes I forget to do it, and if someone call me while I am driving, my bluetooth will not connect to my phone. Of course, I can't got into the menus and turn on bluetooth while I am driving. I know of bluetooth toggle programs like BlueToggler, which toggles the bluetooth on and off. However, I want a simple low-RAM program that I can put on the start up list that strictly turns on the bluetooth on startup (without turning on the discovery mode). Does anyone know of such a program?

[Q] Xperia Go, Smart Connect not working?

Hi,
I'm very happy with the smart connect app and I love all the options you can set up, but it seems it's not working properly when setting up my car's bluetooth as a trigger of an event. I just created an event that whenever the phone connects to the car's bluetooth handsfree, then the phone data connection, volume, and brightness are turned off, and once disconnected from the car (when I get off) all get turned on again and the bluetooth switches off.
All is working properly except for this last action, the bluetooth never is turned off and I have to do it manually. I've tried several configurations with no luck... any workaround or the app is faulty??
Thanks for your help!

Hmm, which Rom are you using ? And if GB, did you try ICS ?
I am not sure why it won't work but maybe it's set by default that way!

[Q] Tasker Bluetooth Problem

Hi,
I've created a tasker profile which simply checks if I'm near the Bluetooth in my car, if so turn bluetooth on, wifi on, and bluetooth volume up to max. This all works fine, however it doesn't stay connected. After a few minutes the bluetooth gets turned off (not just disconnected) and I can't understand why. If I manually turn it back on, it will reconnect with the car immediately. And I think that if I leave it long enough for tasker to re scan, it will re-connect by it's self (I've not check this thoroughly).
Any idea what I'm missing here?
Thanks

BT vs wifi

I got this watch over the Neo mainly because the curve fits my wrist better. I did not put it on my cell plan since I'm never anywhere with the watch that I don't also have my phone. My question is on the data feed. Is there a setting to force the watch to use WiFi where available or does it always default to Bluetooth first? Thx!
You can just turn bluetooth off in the watch settings. The only problem is that you'll have to remember to turn it back on when you're not on WiFi. The watch will always use bluetooth over WiFi when connected to your phone, there's no option that I know of to force WiFi over bluetooth without turning bluetooth off.

Bluetooth always ON

Is there any way to get the bluetooth always on when i switch On the phone? It is very useful the phone to be able to connect to the car or to my Xiaomi mi band, without having to turn Bluetooth On all the mornings (i use to power off the phone at night).
When I turn ON the phone, it always boots with bluetooth switched OFF
Yes it disables all hardware when shut down. U have to re enable them on each boot
