Well, start working on it then

I know, I'm just saying that there are people who are going to see the title of the thread and assume that there's something to try and end up flashing an Arc build or something. When I was helping with the Galaxy S CM7 builds, we saw it all the time.

YAY!
When did the work begin? Any beta's (or alpha's) for us to try?
I'll test, count me in

[Tool] BlendMIUI Speed-Porting Software [V05.0] [Xperia Play support][Need Feedback]

Q:What is BlendMIUI Speed-Porting Software For XPERIA 2011
Ans:This is a short program trying to help you guys to build your own BlendMIUI rom for Xperia 2011 devices in just few minutes.
Q:How to use it?
Unlock Bootloader first!
1.Download BMSPS(BlendMIUI Speed-Porting Software) then unpack it to anywhere you like(Windows environment).Btw,you should install JAVA SE JRE first or it won't works because it needs JAVA environment to sign the rom.You can goto oracle.com/java to download the latest Java SE JRE.
2.Download latest MIUI rom for Desire HD from miui.us(or anywhere you want).
3.Rename the rom you just downloaded as MIUI.zip then put it into /MIUI_DHD_ROM directory.(Do not rename it as MIUI.zip.zip!)
4.Run BMSPS_luancher.exe to start.
5.Do as follows then it will automatically create update.zip under the BMSPS directory.
Then you have two choices:
=>Help youself:
6.Put the update.zip rom to your SD-card.
7.Flash BlendMIUI kernel(I have put it into \BlendMIUI-kernel directory) or DooMKernel for MIUI.
8.Use CWM-recovery to flash the update.zip rom.
=>Use Auto-Flash Function
You don't need to do anything on your phone,it will help you to do all works automatically and boot into the new system!
Features:
1.Support Devices: Xperia Arc,Xperia Arc S,Xperia NEO,Xperia NEO V,Xperia Ray,Xperia Play.
2.Latest CM7.2.0 rebuilted sources as base.
3.Automatically port MIUI for your device then create unpdate.zip and sign the rom to let you flash it into your device directly.
4.Your choice Function (addons)
5.Fully working Auto-Flash Function
P.S: CM7 sources and kernel for XPERIA RAY are come from bheremans.
Changelog for Version 02:
1.Add moded Packageinstall to let you chose where you would like to install your apps including SD-card.
2.Fixed function to remind you to install java-jre if update.zip is not created.
3.Small changes.
Changelog for Version 03:
1.Fixed PackageInstaller and Torch FC problem when using the ROM from www.miui.com as base.
2.Automatically recognize MIUI version (Depends on the MIUI rom you use) and change Build version for porting rom.
3.Add "Your Choice" function to help you customize your own BlendMIUI rom(BlendUI,DSPManager,Tweaks,Audios from SE).
4.[For DEVs] Whole-New Source code:More easy to read, more easy to add new language(I mean the BMSPS itself) and new functions.
Changelog for Version 04:
1.Disable echoing information for better display.
2.Fixes and improve performance of BMSPS.
3.Add "Auto-Flash" function to help you flash BlendMIUI automatically
Changelog for Version 04.3:
1.Add Xperia Ray ST18i support(All sources for Xperia Ray are come from bheremans).
2.Fixed Auto-Flash function.
3.Fixed ADB Detective bug which cause the software stuck at entering into Auto-Flash function when you input "yes".
Changelog for Version 04.7:
1.Add Xperia Neo V support.
2.Fully working Auto-Flash function (You don't need to do anything on your phone now until it boots into the new system.BMSPS will help you to do everything automatically.)
3.Some small changes
Changelog for Version 05.0:
1.Add Xperia Play R800i support.
2.Add confirm function to avoid error selection.
WARNING:
1.This is not an update-package and you'd better delete all old files if you have installed early version of BMSPS.
2.Make sure you have unlocked bootloader before using this tool.
3.Baseband 56 is highly recommanded(based on .42 official firmware).

also works on r800x , I'm sure but may have bugs since r800x is an CDMA phone.
My friend told me it works fine on Xperia Play and AutoFlash function works correctly.
What should you do before using this tool to port and flash MIUI rom:
1.Install fastboot driver.
2.Flash .42 official firmware(if you are already on baseband 56 you don't need to flash it again)
3.Turn on your phone and connect it to your PC using usb cable with USB-Storage Mode closed.
Then:
Use BMSPS to port MIUI rom from miui.us and use Auto-Flash function to let software help you flash the kernel and rom automatically.
(You'd better chose wipe data and cache when BMSPS ask you or it may not boot correctly)
something is wrong with mediafire...
EDIT: Problem is gone. Maybe just some server issues.

This did not work for me, the tool just crashs, but i think it is a promblem of my pc. I have the Beta Build wich JasonStein created and there are the only real bugs bluetooth and touchpads. It should be very similar with this.

Looks like I will stick with stock.
The only reason I won't use a custom Rom is because most of them have reported issues with the touchscreens.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
@KeiranFTW: The Touchscreen issues ppl talk about aren't noticeable at all.
It's just like 2-3 pixles that don't register (from all angles, as far as i know)..
Though i wonder why it's not fixed, yet. :O

Was on my phone when I posted that so it autocorrected "touchpads" to "touchscreen" LoL.
Didn't know there was any touchscreen issues but without the touchpad some games I find hard to play.
Just installed on my r800i. Wifi, Camera, Flash and buttons work fine. Bluetooth does not start. I have not tested touchpads yet.

Hi all,
Please someone can help me how i can add a language pack to BMSPS_LANGUAGE folder????
and where i can find him??
thanks in advance
Main things to test:
1. WIFI
2. Bluetooth
3. Camera
4. Touchpads
5. Data
Dont forget to test Camera in Barcode Scanners
wifi data camera torch working
touchpads and bluetooth not.
The kernel from DooMLoRD is from the fxp 045 (or something) that doesn't have bluetooth and touchpads.
If DooMLoRD have time he will change it and maybe it is working than

From 1st post / link you can see it's a FreeXperia developed project with few updater scripts being replaced to make ROM work on Neo V. Also, FXP works on CyanogenMod sources..
tried the miui cam fix ! not compatible to cm9 . but the posted rom looks amazing , first boot took surprisingly too long , but it was worth the wait ! but camera is the only drawback . . so i switched back to my old miui rom . . but as soon as the cam fix arrives , this will be the rom running on my phone
the kernel overcloak is not enough to make this rom faster..... is holy crappy ugly f$%&"ng slow!!!!!!. ICS alpha from SE and the "activated versions" runs far away faster than this one.
Need more tunning to be used as a production rom, anyways is good to see cyanogen didn't forget us at all. And the FXP team is working for all 2011 models and not just for the ones they got from SE.
Thanks, gonna try this tomorrow.Btw what are ICS GAPPS ? and can you upload those files to somewhere like hotfile/filesonic/4shared due to megaupload being killed by FBI :/

NOTE: IF YOUR PHONE FORCE-CRASHES ON BOOT, YOU DID NOT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR INSTALLATION. READ THEM. UNDERSTAND THEM. THEN INSTALL. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THEM I WILL LAUGH AT YOU.
I did not do ANY of the major work for this ROM. All I did was get the correct build environment so Qcom chips would work. All credit for this rom goes to the Team Gummy Devs below.

I'm going to take a look through and see what, if anything, I can try to figure out. Is it based on CM9 like CNA is, or did you try to do a direct port?
Update: Well, after digging through the zip, I noticed there were a lot of things missing in the /system/framework and the /system/bin folders. In my noobish logic, I figured if the rom is based on CM9 stuff, why not copy/paste the "missing" stuff from CM9? And after trying that, I didn't make it past the kernel splash screen. In my limited experience, I don't know what to do to help.

Depending on the kernel, /system/bin could be filled out other ways. but thanks for looking in /system/framework, that's where (I think) the problem is!

I know it's been less than a day, but have you had any chance to pick at it and figure anything out? I'll most likely be sticking with CNA rather than switching to Gummy, but if there's anything I can help with, let me know.

Nope, needed to take a different tact in building & got it built uploading soon
It may be obvious by the need for step-by-step instructions, but this is not for the faint of heart.
That being said, this rom definitely has great potential, the main thing holding me back is the graphical issues. It sounds like pax already knows where to look, it's just a matter of making it right. The other thing keeping me from Gummy is the fact that I've finally gotten settled into PlayOSP, and I'd kind of like to stay on a rom for more than a few days for once.
I can't believe I'm making a comment about having too many options! Just a month ago, I was stuck with almost two ICS roms, and now we're over four! And two of them are still just for us CDMA users! Life is good. Thanks, paxChristos.
Working on a possible fix for graphics now, will update if it works
Pax
Sweetness
My fix didn't work (i edited one too many files) I'm gonna have to go back & take is slowly (still working on it, it's just gonna take a little while )

Take your time, man, you've done a lot already.

Do not flash full gapps, system will be full and the ROM will break if you try to install another ZIP (like the Adreno update). This gapps has Faceunlock and Gmail removed to give us more free space.

JB Modules
This has the same fixes that chevyowner made in the thinktank thread, just compiled by yours truly. I figured I'd post it here to make it easier to find. This is overclocked and have more governors than FXP's kernel base does. Oh, and even though I said my modules wouldn't change, they have. So go ahead and redownload them, or stick with the modules that paxChristos uploaded.
Thanks chevyowner for fixing wifi, and then fixing it again. Fixed to save wifi passwords.

Will there be an new signature pic?
yes, it would be nice if we can work as a team (team icx or JBX)
Oops looks like I was way to late to try help sorry, couldn't flash anything/there fore contribute the last week due to job interviews waiting for phone calls ect...

Did you read OP ? See "Curently missing:"...
sorry
Here is simple tutorial and my script for converting FXP CM9 rom to MIUI. You can use it for making MIUI on Xperia Sola too (download acervenky MIUI Sola rom)!
First of all you need to make some folders:
mkdir cm9miui
cd cm9miui
mkdir GAPPS
mkdir MODULES
Click to collapse
- Download gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip and extract it to GAPPS folder.
- Extract boot.img from my MIUI build and put it into root of the cm9miui.
- Extract all .so files from /system/lib/modules from my MIUI build and put it into MODULES folder.
- Download acervenky MIUI build and put it into root of the cm9miui, rename miui zip archive to miui.zip
- Download FXP CM9 buid and put in into root of the cm9miui, rename archive to stockrom.zip
- Download micode tools (its not needed now but you can download if you want to patch framework):
git clone https://github.com/MiCode/patchrom_tools.git TOOLS
Click to collapse
- Finally, make empty make.sh file and put this -> http://paste.ubuntu.com/1517684/ inside, save it, give 755 permission to it.
If you prepared everything, you can start converting. Run ./make.sh and wait until script convert CM9 to your new MIUI rom! Enjoy!
============================================
Thats an easy part. But we need to modify 3 frameworks! Framework.jar, services.jar and android.policy.jar to get other things fixed! We need to disasemble and compare cm9 framework with these 3 frameworks and add/moodify/merge/patch these 3 frameworks using and comparing with cm9 framework! I will try to get MIUI from real patchrom, if I can not get it booting I will try to fix something in current build. I will be happy if some one start working in curent MIUI build and if some one fix something, curent build is "solid" build but have some things missing, but in any way rom can be used daily without any problem, I using it daily! Enjoy guys with script... waiting something fixed by you!
Quite a tutorial
That's why you are so special
Sola owners who has some geeky capabilities, start something like this.
We are overwhelmed my lord

I going to stop development for this rom and make new (from begining) by patchrom tool... because curent rom is an repack only (mean - framework is not merged with latest CM9 - frameworks is from old MIUI, so I need to merge it, but I will not do it to current rom, instead of doing that I will start with latest MIUI). I started allready, rom fail to boot, but I will fix it soon
I will wait the next version then
thanks
