Is there any 2.2 rom that really the camera/camcorder fully works ? Or a way to fix it to use common apk like barcode scanner and microsoft tag ?

What could be done, has been done.
Devs used the 2.1 drivers to make the camera work in 2.2 so it's not perfect, but it's still usable and pretty decent. As far as barcode scanners are concerned, ScanLife works!

Yeap, there are quite a few! Vignette is said to be the best, although for me it's a little slow! Magic Hour is also nice!
Cam works on every 2.2 ROM except zoom and flash. Vignette is good alternative.

i just tried camera 360 ultimate but no joy with the flash, just says your device has no flash

Yes flash doesnt work, the stablizer is good and besides they dont recommend the larger resolution was good...comparing the free editons vignette has low resolution but pictures are good (for the size) and flash works

To replace the gallery from the 2.2 rom, since dualtouch doesnt work, I got quick pic which works fine...Any other option for the camcorder ?

santiemanuel ported the Nexus S livewallpapers.apk to 2.2. I made a standalone apk just for the Nexus wallpaper.
This is the one that has the simulated depth (squares are different sizes).
Works great nice job as usual

I'm not trying to flame or anything...
But if you frequent XDA and know how to get LWP from here etc...
Why are you still on 2.1 when there are plenty of excellent 2.2 Roms here.
I use my phone as my primary device, I don't want to take risks yet because it has already been sent in for repair because of a faulty motherboard. I'm trying to put my confidence in for something official, but I eventually will cave in and root my phone.

Back to stock (for warranty claims, etc) is easy & relatively painless.

i got problem with "barcode scanner". It doesn't work correctly. On xperia x10 it works fine but on x8 it doesn't. Is there any way to make that working?

Pls, show me a barcode scanner on X8 working - I tryied many ones.
The lack of autofocus is a big problem...
you can scan qr codes but normal barcodes and other stuff is nearly impossible!
In perfect light conditions it works but without autofocus in camera its really limited.

Not really.
let me rephrase myself..
I didn't mean that its always usable .. It tries to read a code but a blured picture from camera makes it hard to process image ...
but sometimes it works.. Try ShopSavvy4.

i think x8 Creator don't have autofocus in their brain..
QR codes are working.
But not barcodes.
Autofocus is missing, this is the problem.

Is it only the Full Deprecated vignette that has flash? I have the demo and I don't see a flash option?
I dont recall the demo version having flash....i have the paid version...worth every penny. Maybe you should buy it?

Yes. I'm sure the new one they've just brought out will at some point but Deprecated is the best one.
New one won't work with 2.2 either.
I have 2.2 and just "upgraded" to the newer version of Vignette, at first it didn't work, but after a few attempts it just started working, very strange! The new version does not have flash yet as previously said.

i got the Vignetter(deprecated) version and the camera flash works like charm
There's an update on the market which now works perfectly with 2.2, including flash.

Indeed there is - flash works and picture quality on 8mp is spot on. I'm on X10 Beta 4 too!!

First I have to say how amazing the cyanogen 2.2 is. I love it!
I just wanted to know how to get the led flashlight working, I am running the very latest version, and apparently it should be functioning.
I don't mean as a camera flash btw, but actually as a torch. I used to use mototorch from the market with stock 2.1, but this no longer works.

Sorry its CyanogenMod 6.1.3 v 4.5.7 that I am using now and flashlight function doesn't work on, and it did work on se 2.1.
All the apps I have tried so far just make the screen glow, which is bit naff.
Tell you what though, I can play music without stuttering for the first time since stock se 1.6

Just use the xperia flashlight. I use that and it works fine. Just grab it from the market.

I downloaded an app called FlashLightApp. Have a widget right on the desktop and it works great for me. Pretty bright too
I just updated to 2.3.3. and rooted using the flashtool method provided...and I had one question on my setup...
Timescape...it showed emails before I almost certain...but now it only has options for messages, twitter, and facebook....how do I get it, or can I get it to display emails?
PS: this is the smoothest stock rom I've used yet...very nice.
It doesnt support emails anymore...along with not being linked to camera either (which i dont like)
