If you been following threads around xda ...we have a locked bootloader and no way in yet.
And this thread belongs in general

and no SBF file yet.

This is the main reason.

Sucks, but it's still a good phone so I'll wait for it down the road.

At this point i'll take anything debloated and deodexed. Gingerbread is nice too.

Would you care to explain what deodexed means? I've seen term used a few times lately and I have no idea what that means...

Deodex is about removing the odex file that is attached to the OEM files. This allows for modularity regarding themes and roms.

How to get back to stock on a Droid razr if its bricked

Want to make sure I can get back to stock before i root my razr and if something goes wrong and i brick it. Is there something I can run to put it completely back to stock. I'm coming from the Droid incredible and they use ruu and it takes about 3min. One click and its done. Is there something like this for the razr. Lol. Thanks

Oh ok. Is this something that's pretty simple to do. Cause I'm a lil more cautious rooting since I screwed my first Droid incredible up with rooting it. Lol. So I just trying to get everything straight before i root this phone.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I just don't want to have my razr goin into bootloaps and i have no way of getting it fixed. Lol. And definitely dnt want to pay for another if i mess this one up.

Lookout mobile security on Photon Q 4G LTE blowing up?

Every so often when I'm doing different things i see lookout fc. Haven't been able to narrow it down yet. Anyone else seeing this? Trying to determine if its hardware or software conflict seeing as the Q just came out.

Don't know if you noticed but you're in the wrong device forum.. lol. Anyway it might be a software conflicting with something.

Pretty sure photon q doesn't have a dedicated forum yet so people are just backpacking on us for a while. We had to do this for a bit before they gave us photon users a dedicated forum.
But to respond to your question.. there was a recent study done of the reliability and effectiveness of android anti viruses. Lookout actually ranked pretty low. The one that came in first place out of the 20 tested was Kaspersky's mobile version. Perhaps try it out and see if it works better for you.
Acvice, I see your point but I think it would still make more sense to post in the right forum so that other members could benefit. Just sayin lol.. OP you don't have a tasker running do you?

That's because it does not work for electrify, only works for sprint.
sent from a GSM Hybrid Mopho
Do you recommend a diff rom where i can flash kddi to unlock gsm?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
It isn't a software issue, it's a hardware issue. The Electrify has hardware that is just different enough from the Photon that the KDDI radio won't work.
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Do i have to sbf it back to sprint in order to unlock with kddi?

As far as I know, regardless of what you flash or SBF, you won't be able to use the KDDI radio.

Thats strange cause everyone seems to be unlocking with kddi...everything went smooth until the final step..(flashing kddi)

Wrong Forum. This should be in Q&A
Q&A Forums - For all question threads / posts. If there is no Q&A forum use the device General Forum
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title)- For developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs, Kernels, and mods.
Can you please move topic to Q & A?

In the future, for other posters, posting in the Development Forum is for posting Roms, Kernels, and other pieces of work.
Questions belong in the Q&A where they might have a better chance of being answered.

the electrify has NEVER been able to have GSM unlocked. so if you're on the electrify forget about it. it's not going to happen. only works on the photon at this point.
I have the photon..its the (electrify sbf) i did...

I'm not trying to sound mean but replace the phone. You have turned your phone into an Electrify with no way back to stock Photon.
Wow so no way of unlocking for gsm & no way of going bck to stock to do process all over?

Never flash 2.3.5pudding on a Photon (the pudding thread is locked for that very reason)
2.3.5 Photons CANNOT be unlocked
2.3.5 Photons CANNOT be downgraded to 2.3.4
2.3.5 Photons CANNOT use the kddi radio
2.3.5 Photons can only be rooted (torpedo root method)
2.3.5 Photons can only use 2.3.5 LOCKED ROMs
2.3.4 Photons, simply follow the guide in the Photon Compendium. That's why it's there.
As long as these things are followed you're fine. The 2.3.5 Electrify SBF is usually used to recover from not following the things I listed above. If you can't replace your Photon and flash 2.3.5 Electrify you have to think of your phone as an Electrify and not a Photon.
Please don't try to get it replaced using your carriers replacement program because you flashed the wrong files for a number of reasons. It's better off for everybody if you loose it and file and insurance claim.
Thnx for your help...i guess ill just hope they come up with a way to unlock later...

Loki, do not scare people...
In terms of flashing sbfs or roms there is technically no Photon or Electrify, just Sunfire.
If someone would upload latest webtop in zip and using 254_13 zip from Mof (not sure if it's odexed), anyone can return to full Sprint stuff on Photon, allowing future updates (if there would be some).
Radios are flashable separately and cannot even be flashed from P to E or reverse (nothing to break).
Only three things to worry about, are signature difference between 2.3.4 and 2.3.5, inability of many Sunfire users to search and read and mising active moderator for this Photon forum (some cleaning is really needed).

I'm going to say it.
I'd think twice before buying a Motorola product. They will abandon you slowly and painfully.
Take it back and get your money back. Read the original forums for the Photon 4G for a little perspective.
