[Q] Is there any earphone with mic working on Sii?? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all!
Im looking to get some better quality earphone with mic like Ultimate ears or V-moda or some other kind....
Do you guys have any idea which good ear phone with mic works on S2?
can you guys give me some names?
Thanks.

any one???

yes any headset that wupports the mobile standard will work. this includes in line mic, and button control. search for headsets like bose MIE2 headset, or any other manufacturer that supports the mobile standard, and it works just fine.

I recommend Atomic floyd, such nice headphones.

I am using Griffin Smart Talk with my Sennheiser in ear headphones.
Basically you plug this on your phone, plug the headphones to this and you're up and running.
Works very well!

any more recommendation guys? Griffin Smart Talk looks quite alright tho...

Iphone headset on htc HD

I have expensive in ear plugs with mic.
why is it not possible to use them on my HTC ?
are they build diffrently ?
it is just the mic that wont work.
any toughts ?
Could you describe your problem(no sound or what???)
but I think that Iphone has 2.5mm headphone jack(correct me if Im wrong) but Our Touch HD has 3.5 mm headphone jack...
ok
i will explain.
from htc headset everything works fine.
on iphone headset (this one)
I have sound on both left and right
and the button works as well. But not volume up and down. This makes sense because it probobly is a software thing. But the mic will not work. So i cant use the iphone headset as a handsfree.
the jack looks exactly the same.
i think both are 3.5 mm jack.
Any toughts ? or somone who know ?
Well it could be something about that its Apple !!!! they like to make stuff which dont work on anything but Apple!!!!!

Not completely true, I Use Seinheisser MM50 Iphone wired headset and works perfect (and a Jabra 3030 BT headset also). I think the problem comes from the volume part of the headset, so far any with Vol/Play/pause etc on wired headsets don't work.
Original Headset of the 3G and Bluetooth works
Both, the original beadset out of the box of the 3G Iphone and the original Bluetooth headset works perfect.
Okay thanks for great posts.
The conlusion is that it is almost the same, but the blackstone can not handle the iphone headset with volume buttons.
I only guess when i think this may be a software thing ? or what ?
Then i just have to sale my iphone inear. that sux
Sennheiser MM50 iphone?
So, could someone verify that Sennheiser MM50 for iphone works properly on HTC HD? It would be fine as long as the microphone, earphones and call answer work, volume control is not that important for me.

As I said above, works great, good sound quality. Been using on my HD for a few weeks now.
Thanks. I just wasn't sure about the call answering button. I've used MM50 (fastport version on my P1) for quite a while and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic.

I think the functions of the headset that would work would only be the ones found in the default headset. left, right, mic and push to answer or drop. it didnt have volume or music player controller in the first place...
Klipsch handsfree
Tell me please, will my klipsch handsfree (I used it on my iPhone 3G) work on HTC desire HD (I think to buy this smartphone)? I mean, can I answer the call through it?

I believe the iPhone 2G has a 3.5 mm headset jack, but it is recessed, therfore only slim fitting headphone jacks can fit in. This was a major complaint with the original iPhone, hence they didnt include a recessed headphone jack in their later iPhone models.

You will get an answer if you post in the Appropiate forum (DHD). They are both different hardware devices.

Headphones mic and music playing...

Has anyone found any in-ear canal headphones that have a mic attached to the cord, similar in design to the white iphone head phones, but go in the ear canal? Also, when playing music, does the music pause when you receive a call or do you need to pause it manually? I saw that you could play music do other things on the phone since it multitasks pretty well.
I am using Jabra BT3030 and it works like that.
I would like to know it to. the ones that are deliverd with the hero hurts my ear it doesn't fit perfectly. i think i have small ears . i tryed the xperia headphones but the mic didn't work.
i searched ebay but couldn't find any for hero.
Well it doesn't need to be just for the hero as with a 3.5mm jack it should work with any mic and headphone.
P.S I think but don't count on it.

You can try Stereo bluetooth headphones, "cans" style like the old headphones with padding not those earbud type. The Hero has Stereo bluetooth compatibilty and will give you music listening upto 10m away from the Hero with, pause, start, skip and reply functions as well as answering phone calls using the omni direction mic in the right headphone "can".. look on ebay you'll find them for under £30 or 35Euro
My mod
Hey,
Try out my solution:
Htc Hero std headset + Koss portapro = amazing!
Fraction
Htc bh s100
I've found the HTC BH S100 to be the best A2DP headset ever, sounds great, has excellent battery life, high output power, short charging time and a standard 3.5mm stereo jack, so you can attach your favourite headphone to it (I use Philips' SHE-9501 extra-cheap super-mega-boombass earpieces!).
I'm just wondering if the S100 will work with the Hero that's coming to my home..........
Simpler than Koss modification, quite affordable (30 euro's) in-ear headphone (great sound if you are a bass-addict), working mic + button:
V-Moda vibe duo. --> Officially made for iPhone, but works fine on my Hero!
I guess that all iPhone designed earplugs+mic will work, so a whole array of products is available... Ultimate ears also have a model for iPhone, and UE usually has a nice balanced sound.
happy shopping!
BPJ
hi
i have tested the lg arena km900 headset and ist works pretty good
the headset has a button with mic and they are inear (ear canal headphones)
very nice sound and loud too! play and pause works !
lg arena km900 standart headphones maybe you can buy them from ebay
byby
HTC RC E100 + Sony MDR-AS50
This is a great combo for the Hero.
My only complaint would be that it would have been better if the connector could have been the 3.5mm jack rather than the MiniUSBExt. My old Nokia headset adaptor could do all this through a 3.5mm jack.
you can just use the iphone headphone it works. everything works mic, play pause, i'm using the iphone head phone from candy skull. like the apple iphone headphone it has the switch and mic on the right side. or if you preferred just use the apple headphone
Klipsch Image S4I
I bought a pair of Klipsch Image S4I wich has super clear sound.
But the mike and buttons does not for with my Hero, only start/stop music.

3.5mm earphone w/ mic compatibility (Hero<->iPhone)

Just now, I plugged in the 3.5mm earphone bundled with Hero into a my Philips Bluetooth headset (GoGear Luxe), and I discovered I could only hear something I can't properly perceive. The music is distorted, and I could not hear any human voices. Maybe sounds from certain Hz are affected.
I once tried to plug in the 3.5mm earphone bundled with Philips GoGear Luxe into an Apple iPod Touch hoping that I can record the sound, but it turned out to be like the situation above. The GoGear earphone is half-dead now so I wouldn't bother.
Now my question is... can the earphone for iPhone be used properly (i.e. can both listen and speak) in HTC Hero, and will the HTC one usable on iPhone? Someone who own both machines please do help me. Thanks a lot.

Yes they work. I plugged in my Apple in-ear headphones that I used with my iPhone 3G and I can hear audio perfectly fine, use the mic for calls as well as using the inline remote for play/pause of audio and long press the volume up to dial the last contact that I was on call with. Volume controls do not work for controlling volume.
Another solution is that I discovered is using: http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=4571
These work with any 3,5mm earphones and the button on them works both with Iphone, ipod touch and HTC Hero (something I just discovered).
That way you can use the earplugs you prefer and always have the mic and answer call/pause/play button available to you.
Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi, are these working with HTC Hero?
I need a pair of earphones with or without mic for my HTC Hero. Please recommend some?
I use the Sennheiser MM50 with my Hero.
It includes a mic and works perfectly!
Only thing is when I am calling and want to hang up the button reacts as the pause button for my call...

thanks for the replys......im going to be using the adapter to send my phone to my speakers in my car....so thats what i would want to play the best
whats the best adapter btw.....to send to my cassette deck, just the cassette deck adp to 3.5mm jack.....
the sound out of my 3.5 is so bad I may use a fm transmitter
I use PowerAmp and the preamp slider in the equalizer does help considerably using my phone connected to my car radio by the headphone jack. I use a 3.5 MM adapter (example) that has a mic and turn my car radio into a hands free.

I plug the adapter linked to above to the Streak and a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable to the aux input on my car radio. Works just like using a headset with a mic, except the putput is through the radio speakers. The adapter mic is sensitive enough That I can use it with the mic about 3 feet from me on my console.

Pioneer BT85 head unit in my car. Bluetooth music streaming from Mort Player is like putting a CD on! Good volume and really good sound quality. AND the steering wheel "next" and "previous" track buttons work too!
Good phone calls as well.....

Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds

Anyone know of a good set of bluetooth stereo earbuds? I don't want headphones and I'd like something that can be used for phone calls as well.
I'm not exactly hard of hearing, but I do hear much better with earbuds in both ears than with just one.
Any suggestions?
I use the Jabra Clipper. It charges with the same cable that comes with the Note and it also allows you to use any type of miniplug headphone, as it's a powered BT receiver. It has a mic built in, too.

I use these both of these, mainly at the gym, I like them a lot...
http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/backbeat-903-plus - I like these the best
http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/st...10551&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666198163
I bought these, Samsung HS3000, a while back for my Captivate and in anticipation of the Note.
I like them because I can pop in my Sony studio cans or IEMs. Almost went with the Jabra Clipper mentioned above. With either of set you can jack them into a stereo Auxiliary and use your phone as a wireless remote.
I guess I'm most interested in Voice Quality. I want two earbuds in my ear. I want to easily hear someone when I am talking to them. I don't want the person on the other end of the call to know that I'm using bluetooth.
What are your voice call experiences with these?
