Blue Market! - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Themes and Apps

For anyone that likes blue as much as me here is a blue market that def works on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. I have the Google I/O Edition but it should work on the regular 10.1 version.
ADB push both apk's to system/app. Make sure you copy the old ones to another directory before you delete them out in case anything goes wrong you can place them back. Once done adb reboot
If you use and like please hit the thanks button! Enjoy!

Fascinate's Live Wall Paper

I have attached fascinate's live wallpapers.
The fascinate live wallpapers aren't found on any other variant(s) of samsung galaxy s including the vibrant.
push each individual APK to /system/app and also push lib to system/lib
you can push using root explorer or adb or any other file manager type of program
(root explorer is the best imo)
Again, not responsible if anything happens to your phone etc etc
ENJOY!!
No dice, didn't show up when I installed them.

Why does this need to be flashed? Do they overwrite the stock ones or something? Oh yeah, my phone came with the luminence one.
Thanks for the link, the Fascinate looks just like our phone! Ha, anyway I'm going to just adb push the files, seems easier than a recovery flash

No, it doesn't overwrite anything. You can open up the zip file and install the individual apk files, but you have to push the liblwfa-0.A.2-mng-p1.so file to your /system/lib/ directory before any of them will work.
wait.
where do i move the .zip to?
What I did was open up the zip file and went into the app folder and copied all the apk files over to my phone and installed them one by one. Work for me that way. BTW love the wallpapers!

I also would like to see some.
Ok so I tried flashing this, and the wallpapers didn't show up. So I tried copying the .so file to system/lib folder and installed each .apk individually, so now they show up, but force close when I try to use them.
Anyone have any idea how to get this working, cos it seems to me that out should be good one way or another now.
Thanks

Hi. My name is Jess, and I love my Vibrant. That is all.
Here are some screens I made. I think they're kinda "girly", but to each their own.

I have to agree with that statement sir.
theres plenty more Facinate live wallpapers that put the vibrant to shame.... can someone port from the facinate dump?

Jess, your problem is that the APKs need to be pushed into /system/app - you can't install them, they'll show up, but won't work. Try uninstalling them and push each file to /system/app.
just as rdauque says, push each individual apk to /system/app. DON'T INSTALL THEM OR FLASH.
also, some devices might need the lib to be push to system/lib.
you can use root explorer or adb to push these files.
works like a charm

Nothing wrong with girly wallpapers, some of us (admittedly nerdy) girls actually use android =)
Anyway, I really love the spark wallpaper, but honestly, I've always preferred purple over pink, so I colored the background for my liking.
Anyway, flash/push the original zip contents to your phone, or at least the .so file to /system/lib, then copy/push this to /system/app for my purple Spark mod.
Cheers,
=)

Just move the apk files using root explorer to system/app and it will appear in your live wallpaper files.

[Request][HELP NEEDED]SIII Apps and Launcher!

So the Galaxy SIII apps from system/app and the framework of the SIII is out, I was wondering if anyone can port this! Especially the Launcher "Nature UX":
Here is it:
https://hotfile.com/dl/156420377/8d50db1/app_and_framework_deodex_zipalign_SGS3_XXALE8.rar.html
It's already in the works. Go through the search and type in "aroma installer galaxy s3" it should be around there. I'd make it easier for you by posting a link but I'm still in that 10 post thresh.
Here is a link for the one I am using. You can either flash via CWM or just move the apk and lib file to the system/app & system/lib files, change permissions (rw_r__r__) and reboot to get them to show up.
But, I think you need ICS for this to run. I have CM9 on my player and it runs very nice.

[UPDATED 11/1/2012] [Exclusive] Unreleased Gmail 4.2 APK With Pinch-To-Zoom

Now that the dump is out, im hosting the gmail apk again! enjoy!
here it is guys, the newest Gmail 4.2 Reported to be working for Android 4.0+, rooted devices only. If you are having issues with 'waiting to sync', clear app data under settings and try again
Installation Option 1:

Installation Option 2:
The Gmail 4.2 APK is signed by Google, but with a different key than the one in the Play Store (we checked the signatures - they differ). One is probably the test key and the other the production key. For this reason, you can't simply install it as an update and therefore need to be rooted with the ability to mount the /system directory for writing in order to remove the existing Gmail APK.
OK, let's get down to it. You'll probably need ADB installed on your computer (here's an easy way that doesn't require downloading the Android SDK). There is a chance that this might work without ADB by just removing the APKs mentioned below and installing the new one, but it didn't seem to work reliably for everyone. This should, though:
1. Download Gmail 4.2 from one of the mirrors above.
2. Rename it to Gmail2.apk.
3. Make a Nandroid backup in case something goes wrong (this is always a good thing to do before messing with your device).
4. Delete (or move if you want to save the APKs) all other versions of Gmail. Usually there are 2 or 3 copies. One will be in /system/app (that's the original Gmail that was pre-installed on the device) and there may be a few in /data/app (these are the updates installed from the Play Store). They'll be called "Gmail.apk," or "com.google.android.gm-[number].apk," An easy way to tell is to look for the Gmail icon.
5. You may need to delete the .odex files matching the APKs in step 4 too, if you have them. Neither I nor Artem had to do this, but there are many different ROMs out there, and we're trying to cover all bases. Ignore this step and only come back to it if something doesn't work later.
6. Reboot. Once you do, you should have no Gmail as far as Android is concerned.
7. You can try to install the Gmail 4.2 APK you downloaded at this point by tapping it in your favorite file explorer (move the APK to your device first, of course). If that doesn't work, or if you prefer ADB, fire up a command line and type adb install Gmail2.apk.
If you get an error message, you probably didn't delete all copies of Gmail. If you don't feel like playing with ADB for Step 7, I've also gotten it to work by just copying the APK to /data/app, but that's not as fool proof as "ADB install".

[POSSIBLE HOWTO] Install Google Wallet on CleanROM

To start with, I did no real development on this, I just figured out what needed to be changed from the original method discovered by WarlockLord. All credit for this goes to him. See his thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031127 for more details.
I searched through the CleanROM topic (non-Verizon specific) and only saw people saying they wanted a way to get Wallet as the original method did not work for CleanROM, so I apologize if this was discovered already. I wanted to use CleanROM and Wallet so I played with it for a while and found out how to get it working.
1. Either extract the Wallet APK from WarlockLord's ZIP or download it from below.
2. Copy it to \system\app\ and give it permissions of rw- r-- r--.
3. Modify your build.prop to represent the Galaxy Nexus with the info in the original thread.
4. Reboot.
5. Open Wallet and do the setup of the account and card(s).
6. Modify your build.prop back to original settings.
7. Reboot.
After this it continues to open the app and keeps the selected card, I haven't attempted to make a purchase with it yet but it functions the same as it did after following the steps in the original method so I presume it would work the same afterwards.
Here is what I had to do:
1.) Edit my build.prop file
Code:
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
2.) Reboot
3.) Download the wallet app from the market and set it up, add card etc..
4.) Delete the app from /data/app/ after setup
5.) Put the wallet from the zip file in /system/app/
6.) Test it, reboot and launch it again
7.) put my build.prop back
Code:
ro.product.model=SCH-I605
ro.product.name=t0ltevzw
ro.product.device= t0ltevzw
I have had no issues using it at stores that support it. Originally I flashed the zip, but that kept crashing my NFC as that flash was for Android 4.1.1 I think, and CR is 4.1.2. To fix it, I just used TitaniumBackup to grab the NFC and NFCTest programs from my nandroid backup of the fresh Clean Rom install and place them back in /system/app/ and reboot.
I tried flashing the zip first too and experienced the same NFC crashing, but when I tried doing the install from the market like you did it just kept saying the 'Setting up Google Wallet, this may take up to 5 minutes.' It was only after starting with the modified APK that it let me continue past that.

Working! No NFC issues so far, they were either happening ever 10 seconds or any time I opened a system app. Wallet comes up everytime with all the information still there. I'll give it a test tomorrow at the store
One thing to note in the above instructions is when you mess with the build.prop file make sure you change the permissions to rw-- r-- r-- if you dont you will go into boot loop....ask me how I know...
Thank you guys for putting up a clutter free working process
and for clarification I am on verizon CleanROM ACE 4.0.5
ok i just tried to do this and this the message i got. of course this isnt a gn2 but thats the message
From what I have read in the main 150+ page post, not all readers work with Google Wallet, and not all stores have it enabled. Some stores you also have to have them hit credit on their side for it to work before you try and use Wallet.
What store did you try this at?

The reader detected issue seems to be related to Wallet only on the Note II (or possibly other unsupported phones). All of the places I got the reader detected issue, Wallet worked with my Galaxy Nexus. I don't think it is a reader issue.
I've only used it once so far, but had no issues.

[MODS][GUIDE]Custom sounds/Ports/Build prop tweaks(Update)

Ok guys and gals this thread started as custom lock screen on/off sounds but since then i have found in my opinion another cool mod from the s4 forum that is compatible on our devices that i think you may enjoy as well. These are not my mods in anyway i just found, tried and confirmed these working on the Note3. Please give credit where it is due if you use these mods/ports.
.........ALWAYS MAKE YOUR BACKUPS BEFORE MODDING ANYTHING!........
First up is the custom on/off lock screen sounds by a guy over on the Sprint S4 forum by the name of dav3wash so don't forget to hit that thanks button when you get over there.
1)Pick and download any of the Lock/unlock sounds you wish from the link below.
2)Extract the Lock.ogg and unlock.ogg from the zip and place on sd card in a new folder named whatever you wish.
3)With any file explorer with root access Navigate to [System / system / Media / audio / ui]
4)Scoll down til you see Lock.ogg and unlock.ogg
5)Delete or move stock sounds to the folder you made in step (2) (Incase you want to go back to stock).
6)Place custom Lock.ogg/unlock.ogg where the stock ones were shown in step (3)
7)Back out of file explorer and reboot your device.
8)After reboot Navigate to [Settings / device / lock screen / unlock effect / and set to ripple/ink] and your good to go!!!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2304198
Hope you enjoy these sounds!!!
If for any reason you would like to go back to stock the link below is the stock lock.ogg/unlock.ogg zip. This zip is non-flashable and must be pushed the same way you pushed the custom sounds. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iw4u1ak89vl233g/AADXINdF3qBGr65eWPOLNfJ5a?dl=0
Next on the list is the Penguin ROM N7 Animations Port.(Sadly not working on NH7 or Nk4) I think this might be one of the coolest animations I've seen. Ive used this port on the s4 and now here on the Note3. CPA Poke's install method uses TWRP but i used Philz Touch and it worked fine .This ported animation originally came from a developer by the name of Skyfall007(Maker of the Penguin Rom1.1 / 4.2.2) on the Nexus 7 forum found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41820147 and seshmaru found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16420559 for technical reasons i can barely comprehend and was ported over by CPA Poke. You can find him in the s4 forums and probably the Nexus 7 forums .Thank all these guys for their hard work. All the downloads and install/uninstall instruction for this animation port can be found in the link below.
HAPPY MODDING!!!!!! Penguin ROM N7 Animations Port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42424224

Posted a link up top .
So I was poking around and came acorss these in my travels. typically these would fall under the themes and apps section but beings they are listed for Note 4 apps I thought I'd post them here incase anyone was interested. Please give albe95 thanks for posting these over at the Galaxy s4 forum. (Note 4 apps.) Enjoy!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/themes-apps/exclusive-note-4-apps-collection-t2882577
Got another mod here for all you guys and gals. Are you sick of that annoying droplet sound that you get everything you touch in app or menu? I know I sure was! So here's an alternative. The it will be a zip file you download THEY ARE NOT FLASHABLE!!!! They must be installed manually.
1)Use any root file manager and navigate to root system/media/audio/ui
2)Pull the TW_Touch.ogg and S_HW_Touch.ogg and save them to a new folder incase you wanna go back to stock sounds
3)Extract the content in the zip file that you downloaded from the link below.
3Copy the extracted files and paste them in there rightful places that you previously pulled your stock sounds from.
4) Back out of your file manager and reboot.
All done!!! Enjoy!
Just so you know the TW_Touch.ogg is for anything on screen that is touched and the S_WH_Touch.ogg is for your (Back) and (Menu)
Im gonna upload a few more options here shortly but for now check out the one I linked. Hope you like.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/eybkqkhce1w0htu/Droplet touch replacement.zip?dl=0
So I was going to upload more touch sounds which I am still going to do. The link below is my current setup which I find the sounds to match perfectly with the screen transitions mod that I'm running which would be the N7 posted above. However I thought I'd just throw this out there.
Assuming your already rooted and have a root file manger. (I use FX root manager)
If you go to root system/system/media/audio/ui theres a list of all the sounds for this device.
Just check out all the sounds available and find one you like for a touch sound.
Long press the sound you wish and a menu should appear.
Copy the sound and store it by press paste somewhere that is easy for you to access.
Now just rename the sound.
TW_Touch.ogg for screen touch and S_HW_Touch.ogg for (Back) and(Menu)
After you've renamed them go back into ui sounds and find the stock sounds I just listed and move them to a file incase you wanna return back to stock.
Now take the sounds you renamed and put them in the stock sounds place.
Back out and reboot. And there you go. (My touch sounds) https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001609348 This is a NON-FLASHABLE zip
And as always have a back up just in case!!! If you've found this useful… Hit that thank you button!!!
Ok guys and gals I got something new for you. Are you a fan of S-finder and Quick Connect in your notification drop down but running a rom that doesn't have this included in the package? Well today is your lucky day my friends. I've tested and confirm working on fre3 rom 2.25b only so if you try with other roms please drop by to list the rom you've got it running on so that others may know. And incase you was wondering (tbltespr) is for the Sprint Note Edge. I was wondering if I would get some edge feature but S-finder and Quick Connect is all that popped up. Ok ok here are the steps to get this little tweak working.
Oh and I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DESTROY YOUR DEVICE SO TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
1) Have a back up or make a back up from the recovery of your choice of your current set up incase anything goes wrong in the process.
2) This is a build prop tweak so you will need to download a build prop editor from the playstore. I use this one but any will probaby work just as well. "Build Prop Editor"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.buildpropeditor
3)You will need to download and install the Quick Connect apk non-flashable zip from this link here.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95897840722645991
Theres 2 apk's in the download zip folder.
4)With your file manager navigate to your download folder find the zip you downloaded and tap to open then copy the 2 apk's then navigate to rooted system/systen/apps and paste the 2 files you copied and back out.
5)Once thats done open up the build prop editor you downloaded from the playstore.
6)Scroll over til you see where you do the editing now scroll down til you see
ro. product.name =hltespr and change it to tbltespr
ro.product.device = hltespr and change it to tbltespr
ro.build.product = hltespr and change it to tbltespr
7)When your done scroll back up and save your edit.
8)Now just reboot your device and profit.
If for any reason you wish to go back you can:
Restore your back up or change the tbltespr back to hltespr and delete the apk's and reboot.
Here's some screenshots if it helps. Hope you liked and happy modding!
