You sure this isn't the update from 6-22, if it's something totally new great?

Yup just decided to run the check and there it was. Funny the green hornet worked before this update though.
Edit: Wait did HTC have the ability to update apps only before the Evo 3D?
This update just installed app updates no restart of the phone necessary. Does this mean they could fix minor bugs much quicker since they wouldn't have to go through with sprint for an entire update when they just need to fix an app?

I doubt it considering it doesn't even restart the phone so couldn't be doing anything to the bootloader. The 22nd update on the other hand....

Can't root at all right now. But the devs did say to wait. So better to wait unless you just can't....

There have Been 2 Updates so Far one a Software update and one an Application Update
Yesterdays Update was Software Update 1.13.651.7,
Todays update Fixed HTC Watch and NEWS sync option and DRM activation 0 error

If you want to root sooner, I'd wait...just a suggestion. Never do the OTA updates until they are "confirmed" lest you lose your root.
Looks like you can't get the software update without doing the OTA.
Anyone have a direct download of todays update?

I applied it to mine now my E3D is perfect. I saw the sync icon load and for the first time it closed. Perfection!
if only tomorrow would come quicker and I could worry about what updates to apply....
So I've read issues of people losing the phone icon with the first software update... Should I wait to do the update until the update issue is resolved? I want the second update so I can watch the green hornet.

I was watching the green hornet before the second update. I think the second update only fixes the sync issue with HTC watch, the green hornet issue was the license wasn't released yet.

I know you guys with the HTC EVO 3D are dissappointed you aren’t getting Ice Cream Sandwich yet. Yes, HTC did say they’d start rolling out ICS updates for their phones in January, but you know how updates are in the Android world unless you have a Nexus. Now back to the HTC EVO 3D and it’s newest maintenance release from Sprint and HTC.
The OTA should start rolling out to devices today, but you can manually force the update check by tapping Menu > Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now. Once you get the update let us know in the comments how well it’s working out for you.

From what I know a update like that shouldn't kill root its the firmware update you don't mess with.

Nope, go try again.
The ota update is supposed to have small Bluetooth fix . Enhanced signal for lte. Do a google search and look at android central forums.com . There's someone with some knowledge over there.

possibly the same one every other HTC phone is getting labeled 'security improvements' but i thought those came in over a htc sense style update?
kinda pointless update.. doesn't look too major
so rumor has it that Galaxy S2 will be updated to 4.2. If it's true, this just add salt to our wound. :crying:

I hope you are aware that update was to ICS, and took place in March of 2012? (edited - took place in 2012).

This was edited today 3/18/2013 by tmo_tim so this is a new roll out. They just edited the post from the ICS update. Sport when it lets me I will download and pull you a copy.

I just (Sunday) unlocked and rooted my Amaze (flashed recovery to CWM), disabled some T-Mo fluff, and updated Google Apps. (edit) Removed HTCLinkifyDispatcher (why oh why didnt I do this months ago). Otherwise pure stock. Remind me where the update .zip will reside, and I'll pull it off and Dropbox it for everyone.
I believe my Amaze is at 2.14.531.3 (is that the recent update to Personalization app?). Personally I think 2.14.531.3 vs 2.14.531.30 is really damned confusing, mathematically.

Nope, I didn't see the updated date. However, the last release was 4.03, so I'm doubting there is much here. I'm on NRG though, and will make a note in that thread in case there is something for NRG to update.
My daughter has the update available. How do I pull it from her phone? She's not rooted

Interesting, I updated it on my friend phone and it was 1.2MB

I see Camera listed ... maybe they fixed issues with noise during video recording (a whole 15 months after I reported it), and I see references to WifiRouter, WifiCall, and (oh wouldn't this be glorious) wpa-supplicant. Is it too much to hope they fixed issues with Wifi?

Followed up on your claim that any official dates have been confirmed, they haven't. Most recent information as stated by HTC is target 2nd week of April. That's not a confirmation of any specific date especially since the update is with Verizon right now to get final certification. If you have specific information from a source to say otherwise please post.

I'm sure resources could have been but at the same time Google said it was a low percentage of devices that even have that version. I'd like to say it was like 1-3% or something that low so it probably wasn't too high on the list to fix. I do think their is a patch they have out though
There's been some subtle info coming through the pipeline but week of 21st (now) is the adjusted time for target release. Hopefully some of you will get the OTA notification soon. This isn't a guarantee by any means, we all know the update process through Verizon historically has always been massively delayed at times when dealing with older devices. Its not like HTC or Verizon though to give constant updates pushing it week to week. They already did their 3 month postponement so I think its legit at this point.

Noob Question please!
Guys, a noob here. Just caught the news about KK coming over to Droid DNA. I have an unlocked version running Viper DNA 1.3.5 on Android version 4.1.1 with Sense 4.
Will I get notification of the KK update OTA since I'm in Canada and hence not running on Verizon's network and secondly, if I do the update, will I be able to run the ViperDNA as a dual boot option or is it even worthwhile to do that?

I know somebody found it and posted it, but did the OTA ever actually go? Verizon never updated their One max support doc (still showing the Kit Kat OTA http://www.verizonwireless.com/dam/support/pdf/system_update/one-max.pdf) and HTC still hasn't confirmed it on their software updates page (http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/).
Every other OTA I've received the day it rolled out, and I still have nothing on mine. Did you get the update OTA or flash the file linked here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2767922?

I RUU'ed back to stock Sense 6 then installed TWRP again.
If you check the HTC Software status website, you see that it is in the certification phase for Verizon.
