yes,if u dont flash it according to russian way u got urself an android mp4 player

Sorry if its been asked already...but is the dreaded touchscreen bug/lag still there? Is the improvement in performance noticeable.?

Why so much confusion? Everything works. Using for last 15 days since 20a.
Flash through lgmdp or kdz. In my case i first installed 20a via lgmdp then gingerlol and then 20g zip.
This thing is universal. Anyone in the world can use it on any o1.

It isn't rooted but you can root it with superoneclick. I did it with gingerbreak option, after that I installed nofrills and oc min freq to 480Mhz.
In my opinion the ROM is very good, touchscreen bug gone only issue I have is with 3D performance.
But I'm sure after franco digs into it the phone will fly.

I have been using gsm data and everything since v20a. After v20a i flashed ginger lol. After that i flashed v20zip by paolo.
Gsm data has been fine all through this.
Btw, if you are really having problems with v20g, you should try flashing v20a via russian tool first while recovery img with our custom recovery image. Then flash v20g zip from recovery.
But this is the last resort. First confirm network, apn etc.
(Why i am telling you this? Because v20a and v20g baseband are slightly different.)
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk

Data "not working" - people, this has nothing to do with ROM "bugs". Either set your proper APNs manually or ask your operator to send you the settings via SMS (would recommend the latter to prevent more PEBKAC issues.)

some one just posted a link to final v20B HERE can some tell me the difference btwn v20b and v20g...

Well people who are using 20g in india.. sometimes the network wont refresh. BEWARE.

Followed ur advise mate
stuck at android logo forever now
what should i do

Dude, this is third thread at least that you spammed with your question about rooting v20g. Enough is enough, read the damned first post in my thread before asking!
I'm not a LG Optimus P500 user.. per say.. A friend of mine does have one how ever and I want to upgrade that phone for my friend..
HTC has OTAs. I've gone on to root and install custom ROMs. That's not my plan for the LG Optimus P500.. does LG do OTAs too? I did note that they have a .kz install method (which is kinda similar to what I do on my HTC.. with my gold card).
What's the official way to update the LG Optimus One P500? I know they have an update notifications app on the phone which needs LG PC Suite installed.. would this app talk to LG PC Suite which will use the PC internet to update? Cause that phone doesn't have access to wifi or mobile internet.. only PC internet and sadly I do not know how to reverse tether that phone

CyanogenMod nightly new baseband NO APN BUG

I open here this thread so users with lesser than 10 posts can initally discuss about this trouble!
If you don't know what are we talking about:
With CyanogenMod Nightly and new baseband some users cannot access mobile internet because there is no APN and is not possible to add one manually.
This problem seems to be ONLY on 128K SIM (please confirm this information).
and actually only with:
Vodafone Italy
Vodafone Greece
AT&T
T-Mobile? (please confirm)
someone experienced also with H3g IT but I have no confirmation of this
If we have lesser than 10 posts we cannot post directly in the developers area so we can start collect data here!
Specially post here if you experience this trouble with different carrier or SIM card's!
Please don't post here if you are on old bb, or have different problems!
I am from india , Tata docomo.. Have problem with data connection.. 3g is'nt working .. also edge works rarely
Hi alex i have the same problem with vodafone
Seems like the rom doesn't read the sim state perfectly so the apn do not work
In fact if you go to sim lock options you'll see that the sim is locked olso if you don't have a pin
This is the problem for me
The problem exists with all 128k SIMs, and only Vodafone Italy, but also in Vodafone Greece and so many other countries and AT&T if I'm not wrong...
I read on CM9 dev thread that this issue will be solved on next lupo's beta.
Greetings from Greece!

If lupo will fix it i will install immediatly his rom
@clawsright
If edge works rarely it is not related to sim, looks like a coverage problem of your provider.
The problem discussed here is about not getting data with CM7.2/CM9 with a specific type of sim card

This problem exists on the T-Mobile p509 as well. Or at least on my phone. Any new bb I flash results in no data access. From what I have seen, the apns are there but they are not read correctly. From my point of view, the issue that I am having is because tmobile's new bb is different than the p500 new bb. I fully accept this and have no problem running new bb roms using aspee's fix. If a fix is found then awesome, if not I'm happy with my current set-up.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
This issue is rom related, not baseband
All optimus have qualcom baseband.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I hope it is rom based. I'm just quoting an article I read over on androidcentral by turducken. He was saying T-Mobile bb is different than others. Or that is how I read it. Plus I have yet to flash a new bb rom that has allowed me to use data.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Only used radiobands are different.
P500 new baseband is triple baseband, 509 uses one xtra
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
That I didn't know. I learn something every day on here.

Ok, I updated the first post!
My question is:
I know that H3g simcard are different than others but why vodafone and some operators have different simcard structures??

I've got the same issue. I live in Norway with NetCom as provider. Cant flash any *CM-rom without having APN problem (now it makes sense why there is a "missing sim"-symbol as well).
This is strange, only Cyanogenmod based rom's are affected as we know about this bug!
T-Mobile
Yeah, T-Mobile USA has no data on the new baseband. I can't use Lupo's ICS with data, or any other newBB ROM. I can still use the patch to make them work with the old baseband, although Lupo's ICS doesn't support that patch. If there is a fix for this, I would love to hear it!
The only ROM I have used on the new baseband with data access is OpenOptimus. I'm not sure why, but that works. I think that kind of debunks the theory that the T has a different baseband.
It's because OpenOptimus is based on standard LG rom

If your phone is unrooted, there are limited things you can do to solve it. If it is rooted, you can actually try to flash different modems for your phone and see which one works best for you or just find out from this forum what modem is best for your carrier.

Most official modems for my region are terrible, I'll bet your's aren't better. Asian modems have a far greater stability, especially the DXLF3 modem.
You can't do anything wrong when flashing a modem. Just get Odin, head to the modem collection thread, pick your modem and flash away.

Sounds like antenna ping-pong. Basically that means that your carrier keeps moving you from one antenna to the other.
Alternatively, check if you have any Proxy configured in the APN settings as slow proxies can cause the same issue: go to Settings->More->Mobile network->Access point names, choose the one reading 'internet' (or something like that)
Check if any Proxy server IP is filled in. If yes, write it down and delete it from the profile. If Internet doesn't work, reconfigure it.
If it's better, congrats
Oh really! I didn't realise the Asian modems would work well in Australia thought they would be specific to region, obviously not! I will try the flash if nothing else works..
I checked in the settings like u asked but there is nothing under proxy? Should here be an ip is that the possible problem?

[Q] [Help] How to downgrade from jb to ics?

I recently bought my galaxy note i717m from Bell in Canada and unlocked it with network unlock code purchased on internet. Then, I got someone from kijiji to root my phone and upgraded from ics to jb and made the phone to work with wind/mobilicity. I am now using a wind sim card on my phone but i found out that the jb system is very buggy and crashed too often, Anyone knows how to downgrade jb to ics or recommend a more stable jb rom? Does downgrading to ics or changing to a new rom will make my phone not supporting wind/mobilicity anymore? I dont know anything about android btw, anyone kind enough to write me a simple guide? Thanks a lot!
