I've installed the memo app and it does work however there is a lot of force close.
More specifically, at every instance the app returns to the main screen after reading or creating a memo.

Because, for some reason, the facebook login will fail and give you a "please try again later" message. Does "Facebook for Android" App from Market work on your SGT 10.1?

The Facebook 1.6 apk floating around works fine on my tab

I downloaded Facebook from the market and it works just fine. I probably downloaded it the day the retail unit came out or possibly the day after. I have updated it to the latest version too.

Orginel Facebook on Tab 10.1 This one works fast and great on the Tab

Oke i know that the origenel Facebook from the market doesen't work that well on the Tab.
So i have tryed to install an old version of Facebook, wiche i have also on my SGSII, This version is the only one for me that gets all the newsfeed etc!
So i dowload the Facebook.apk (1.5.4) Then i used root explorer to move the apk.file to system/apps, then i clicked on the file and choose install!
It works great on my tab 10.1 (GT-7510) its works smooth and fast!
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
I'll try this out.
EDIT 1: I get an error during login "An error occurred during sign in. Please try again later" (my internet connection is working fine)
Stay tuned...It might just be one of my settings somewhere, give me a minute.
EDIT 2: Yep it was, I fixed it.
Looks like its working great, thanks for the download.

I find it easier to just adb install it since my GT is already connected to the computer and I'm on the computer. No need to take all the extra time to move to SD card, open an app, move the file to system, then install it.
For those of you who don't know how to do this:
1. Connect the device to your computer with USB Debugging enabled
2. Open command prompt and type "cd c:\android-sdk\platform-tools" (or wherever your Android SDK adb files are)
3. Type "adb devices" and make sure it's reading your device
4. Put the .apk into the root of your C: drive if you haven't already. (of course you don't HAVE to if you know what you're doing and are comfortable doing it)
5. Type in command prompt "adb install c:\Facebook_for_Android_1.5.4.apk"
6. Wait for it to install successfully, unplug your device, and you should have the App in your App Drawer.
Note1: If you already have a facebook app installed, you might have to uninstall before doing this.
Note2: Don't add the quotes when typing in Command Prompt, just type what's inside the quotes.

I havent had that issue. Being rooted shouldnt change anything because it doesnt need superuser permissions.
Well first i instald it like the normal way, it worked... Except the notifications, when i looked furthure i saw that the apk file did't show up in system/apps.
Show the instalation worked but diden't push the file tru!
So then i removed the app, and thoke the apk file and copy it to system/apps by using root explorer. Then i clicked the apk file in system/apps and select instal, basecly its same instalation but now youre sure the file is pushed where it shoud be right?

Correct. Does it work fine after doing that?
Why would it matter at all if you install this normally or push into system/app? I don't think with an app like FB that it matters...installing the apk normally seems to be the same as getting it from the Market..
best FB app is the browser. no need for an extra app to access FB, IMO.

When I installd it thre normal way, the notifications dident work for me.
So I pushed the apk to system/apps and instal it from there.
Now it al works, I don't wy it was not fully working on the normal first instal... So that's why I mentions the push tru style
No offence lol

[Q] Facebook on rooted Nook T?

I tried to install facebook for android on my rooted NT today but received an error message saying that it is not compatible with this device. Is there a work around?
I used share my applications app on my phone., made a back up to my sd, uploaded to dropbox. Then I opened up dropbox on my nook downloaded the app and installed.
Im using an app called facebook 2.0
I actually like it better than the official app

Search the web for the most recent apk (I'm pretty sure it's linked on this site in the must-have apps thread) and side-load install it.
yeah i was wrong, the 1.5.4 version (found in the essential apps post) works just fine.

"Facebook 2.0" has been pulled from markets, since it uses the FB name but isn't the official FB app. Google to find.

[Exclusive] The Unreleased Gmail 4.2 APK With Pinch-To-Zoom And More.

Mod edit, Google requested mirrors to be removed.
New unrelesed Gmail 4.2.
which includes pinch-to-zoom in emails along with a new swipe-to-delete/archive feature. They may sound like small improvements, but they are all things that you will quickly realize that you can no longer live without.
So in order to use this, you have to have root, because you are going to be moving around some system level files. You can try to do this all in adb, but I’m still not even sure that that is possible. If you are brave enough to dive into this, let’s do it. It should take all of 5 minutes.
-Instructions:
1. Download the Gmail2.apk from above and place it on your internal storage.
2. Rename it to Gmail2.apk.
3. Create a nandroid backup, just to be safe.
4. Once your phone has rebooted, delete or move any Gmail.apk on your device.
*You’ll need to look in /system/app for Gmail.apk and /data/app for com.google.android.gm-1.apk.
5. Once moved/deleted, you should reboot your phone.
6. Once rebooted, you can try simply installing Gmail2.apk on your phone.
7. If that doesn’t work, put the file in your SDK/Platform-Tools folder and type this in adb:
adb install Gmail2.apk
8. You should now have the new Gmail 4.2 up and running.
*Note – Depending on the ROM, there may be Gmail .odex files that will need to be deleted as well.

An easier way I found was:

2. Uninstall the above with titanium backup
3. Reboot phone
4. Install renamed gmail2.apk
Win!

One quick question : when this version actually launches on market it will not come has an update since this is already installed right, but what happens when there is a update to this version will market detect it and update it accordingly??
I know i am asking way too early but just curious ..

Yes i noticed it now with the update to 4.4.4 no more youtube widget
Guys, everybody who wants the widget back can do this 2 ways..
1. Go to settings, then app manager or applications, then click YouTube, then click uninstall updates.... Voila, you will get an older version of YouTube with the widget for your home screen.
2. If you want a more recent version, here is the apk. ver. 5.9.0.10
I attached it here, just make sure in developer settings, third party apps is checked off.. hope this helps..... http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2954994&d=1412042255 source - InfInIteGMKg

I Got the Stock Music App to Work on the AT&T Version

I finally got the stock LG Music app to install on the AT&T H910 last night!
Download one of the stock music APKs that are floating around. Then go to the Play Store and download APK Editor by SteelWorks.
Open APK Editor and tap Select an APK File. Navigate to your download folder and tap the music player APK and select Full Edit (Resource re-build). Once it opens, touch Manifest in the lower right corner. Then don't edit anything. Just hit Save in the upper right corner. The APK Editor then rebuilds and re-signs the APK. Clear out of the ad that serves up next and hit install at the bottom. It should install now that it's been signed.
Enjoy!
I tried this but was unable to get it to work with any of the .apk files in this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/themes/stock-music-app-t3488769 do you happen to have a link to the music apk you downloaded?
Try this one. I either used this one or one I extracted from another ROM
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B72...w?usp=drivesdk
If I have time tonight I can try to share the signed APK the app produced.
there was no app in the link, but i did take your advice and downloaded a rom and extracted that app from there. worked like a charm.... thank you!
This is FANTASTIC news. can some one please post the working apk? thanks soooo much

So I tried like a dozen of stock LG music apps on my unrooted Sprint's V20 and noone of them eventually worked even after appying that APK Editor "trick"! No installation at all, install with FCs and installed no FCs but FCs on attemps to play any song ((
Seems to be the case for other stock LG apps floating around the forum like Calendar, Email, Gallery and so on. You gotta have root and change permissions to install these apps and make em work properly! Only old version of Calculator work ok and works in sideapps, just hope that XDA masterminds will come up with a nice custom rom cotaining all of the stock apps working no prob!

If you tried the link in the OP I believe they are taken down or just got removed. I'll send you a PM for the lg music all you have to do is just download it and install.
