I've noticed that recently my keyboard would be having problems typing the "a and w" and if it does work it will type crazy... Than I noticed that its not just that but that whole left side don't respond when pressed. Sanything would help I'm just hoping its not the softesare where I have to replace it again for this issue now.

Are you running stock rom? Are you using the default keyboard?

You could try downloading another keyboard from the market and see if those work
Well i am rooted but on 3.0... And its not just the keyboard but aslso on the home screens nothing on the left will work unless pressed wired or really hard. I've tried salso calibration and I know its not the ROM cuz its been doing this even before flashing.

Alright i have a x10a with 2.1 on it and it runs good to a point. First thing is apps run bad on it when i play armored strike it runs very slow when i click like shoot i have to press it about 5 times before it shoots now it don't freeze but it seems like the flinch screen just stops working. Also when i type on the keyboard and when i press a key sometimes it will just hang on a key for bit...i had a Samsung he cap for att and had no problems get this phone with 1.6 and find out there now going to update it for that long. Its a great phone but very very buggy could anyone help?

Have you tried downloading any other keyboards if you are using default keyboard? May I suggest using Better Keyboard which is very customizable and from my experience, all keyboards sorta lag on the x10 =_= .

I have tried better keyboard i didnt like it at all. But also a different problem is i have app that should have like a push notification but nothing happens..
1. Xfinity App for my email i have it set to refresh every hour but i have to do it manualy.

It seemd to be random, and multiple soft resets and battery pulls only sometimes fixes it but randomly my trace on swype doesn't show and when you hit the symbol key it does switch to symbol input, however the keyboard image doesn't change, ie the key still looks like an "m" but pressing it gives you a "?" , it wont go away untill several restarts and battery pulls... Any ideas

I fix the issue by switching input method back to touch input and then back to swype. It's annoying, but better than a soft reset or battery pull.

I am also having the same problem and this is really annoying.
yeah changing it to normal input, then back to swype is the workaround for now. I noticed I lost my trace when the phone went into power saver mode

I have an issue similar to where certain keys act funny like when i click on cap lock it doesnt work until i switch input method then switch back to swype. I could give 2 terds about this keyboard. Im only using it because theres no gingerbread keyboard.

Is there a reason people choose to use swipe over the HTC "trace" program?
Trace is not as responsive as swype....it still needs work.

On mine it ended up being after i do anything in 3d, a vid, pic anything.. AS soon as i engage 3d it screws up the inlays of just swype...dont know how to fix it but i know the trigger

had same problem,i lost root do to another reason but i rerooted again and swype seems to be working fine like b4,full trace,symbol switch and everything else,try unrooting and rerooting again and see if it works for u,i have the htc evo 3d...just remember to save ur rott settings and what everelse u use with root,when u reroot it will all come back as b4...this is what i use for root,3 clicks and done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcWqeYQjjk0

I had this problem as well but after I temp-rooted using Eugene's script and did the Swype 3.0 beta install using arielb27's guide found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164100 the problem doesn't seem to occur anymore.

You are correct, this is the only way to work around the issue. I've followed the process for installing the Swype 3 Beta and it works alot better, I've not ran into this issue since the change.

I've ran it for a couple days, and several reboots, still works great.
I found that switching the input method back to the stock keyboard and then back to swype fixed this issue when it occurs.
Hello guys, it seems I am having issues with the multi touch function of the screen, when I play games and use the joystick it works fine until I press another button.Then it reverses back to the neutral position....
So basically.. it doesn't accept to inputs at the same time.
The same thing happens while texting, If I hold down the CAPS button while typing it will not capitalize what I type(as it should), I have to hit the caps after every letter.
This happens with both energy and xborders roms, and their respective kernels, when I reflash the kernel, it seems to fix the problem temporarily but then it breaks again...
I am at a loss??? what do u guys think?

Fixed it... apparently Go Launcher breaks my multi touch screen feature... wierd.. after all this troubleshooting all I had to do was unistall that

Actually Go Locker or any lockscreen replacement causes problems with multi-touch feedback . Did you have that installed ?

yea thats what I meant to say... Go locker was causing the problem... I switched to magic locker and it seemed ok for a while but then it started doing the same thing...
I wish there was a way to replace the sense ring without multi touch issues
Hell yea . I downloaded like 40 go locker themes . Come to find out all my games were broken . It took me soo long to figure out the problem . Oh well . Still waiting on ICS.

I can confirm this issue too.
I had widgetlocker installed forever. I had thought the phone was just a bit unresponsive until I loaded up zenonia 4 and the controls didn't work at all.
I found this thread and uninstalled widgetlocker. This fixed the issue right up. Still a bummer though.
My keyboard keeps locking up. Won't respond in any app. The only way it'll work is in landscape. If I power off the phone it'll work again. This happens about every 1-2 days. Anyone else having this issue? Oh I'm using the stock android keyboard if that makes any difference.

Only issues I've experienced are of my keyboard occasionally shrinking to about 2/3 normal size. However, i believe this has only happened with the Swype keyboard.

Out of nowhere my fassy was stuck in desk dock mode and wouldn't exit it, it started the other day. I did a full reset and it fixed the problem, just to be sure I deleted the desk and car dock apps to make sure the problem didn't arise again and for a day everything was fine but this morning my whole phone is stuck in landscape! Even my home screen, I know that this should not happen. Anyone know of a solution? I did another reset but after a while the problem came back, any help would be great, thanks

Try and lock the phone in portrait orientation using a third-party app. I use set orientation on google play if i need to do this sort of thing
It worked but now I have to go and change the orientation if I want to watch a video lol and the icon is stuck in my notification bar but its still better than being stuck in landscape, thank you for the suggestion
