Recently added the Google music bar widget but anybody got anything really cool or interesting?

great link. Thank jman391 for posting this.

i like having the Pulse widgets on my screen.. i have 4 of them there, so i could quickly check on news and articles. great app with plenty of topics. i also linked my facebook calendar so it shows my friends' birthdays and events i have coming up. and i also put the books widget there, as i find it pretty nice to have access to a bunch of free ones. last is the weatherbug widget, which is just plain right now.. not as nice as their phone widget so far.

I'm going simplistic, just beautiful widgets weather at the moment. I like plain

The CNN news widget is cool, and takes advantage of the native HC widget scroll feature.

The widgets for Springpad are pretty cool and seem useful. Too bad I'm finding that I like Evernote more.

Is there a plain post it widget anywhere? I tried springpad but didn't want to have to register just for note taking.

Try color note for plain post it note widget and post it todo lists.

I like Astrid Tasks for those quick post-it like notes.

News360 is a very slick app, and it has a nice widget.
Plume also has a very nice widget if you're a twitter user.

Widgets
pure calendar
Music
News 360
Fancy widgets forecast
Pandora
Gmail
Spring pad

Best widgets by far are the Wizz widgets. They match Honeycomb perfectly. It includes an agenda, calendar, facebook, google reader, and twitter widgets.

Those are pretty nice. Thanks for posting about that...
Is the time of updates posting correctly on your FB and Twitter widgets though??? It either shows some weird time or some ridiculous hours ago even if it's a new status/tweet. Weird.
Also... it may just be me, but is there a tad bit of lag once they are on your homescreens?

[Q] Calendar widget

So i just upgraded from the original g1 to the samsung vibrant, and im missing the calendar widget from the g1. I couldn't find a widget that does the same as the g1 calendar widget. By this i mean it showed a rectangle that had my upcoming events from my gmail calendar on it. Could someone tell me of an app that does the same and/or does it better?
Thanks
Have you tried smooth calendar? That looks & works great!
i find that calendar pad is the best one, it sows the full month view and lists all upcoming birthdays and allows you a large variation of widget sizes
+1 for smooth calender

I know what you mean I miss the old calender widget too. But smooth is the best so far I have tried them all.
I was a blackberry user, and I found that Pure Calendar Widget looked the best to me. Reminds me of the old "Today" themes for Blackberry lol.

Good streak widgets

Hi guys and gals
I'm thinking of making the change to dj steves streakdroid , but to try out the whole new desktop look I have been using adw launcher . Only problem is looking for cool big widgets to go on my now bare screens .
I'm after an email client like the one in honeycomb with the split screen view , to take advantage of our massive screens and a coole email widget to link to it.
A nice big weather widget , that does cool things like the htc sence one.
Scrollable fb widget would be good too, that I could possibly link to the fb for android app
Just really looking for apps that take advantage of horizontal screen orientation.
If anyone can point me in the right direction for these, id really appreciate it.
Thanks

The beautiful weather widget. And I guess the widgets that come with Launcher Pro Plus. Also Pandora and the MIUI music widget.
I don't really think 7 screens are needed so I only use 3. I found the folder organizer app allows me to create short cuts in the launcher for categories of apps. Like I have a short cut in the launcher that goes to the games label. One for utilities etc*
android agenda widget
email widget (fom invalidobject.com)
fancy widget
winamp

I am on the hunt for these apps too that take advantage of the real estate. Try this link.
Scrollable Widgets for ADW, LauncherPro, Zeam, GO, etc
Pure messenger widget. Beautiful widget.

[Q] looking for any calendar widget

Hello, I would need an app similar to calendar go widget, but for using with adw launcher. Just a beautiful and minimal month calendar widget with google calendar integration If possible.
It could be similar to this, too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142072
I have looked for in market but didn't found what I want.. Any idea? Thanks!
Hi there, I use Jorte and find this a great calandar which syncs with google but looks nicer and has more functions. Jorte is available in the market
Ok its really good, thank you so much
Any other suggestions? If not, I will use it... Thanks
this one is my favorite
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003368
Have a look at "Business Calendar"
I will second the Business Calendar suggestion. Also, SBSH just release PocketBreeze for Android. It's not a calendar app, just the widget. You should have alook at it too.
mm yeah Bussines calendar seems pretty good
Jorte and that one are the favourites.
Thank u so much!
my favorite one
I think jorte is the best one!
Biz calendar is the best it has several styles to choose from.

[Q] Social Networking Widget alternative ?

I have a love hate thing going on with Blur, even the remnants we see in Gingerbread, and have found that the only reason for my continuing to use it is down to the Social Networking widget.
This makes me sound like some kinda facebook and Twitter junkie which I am not really but I do find it handy not to have any notifications and to check out those social sites as and when I want to. The fact I can get the information on one application is handy as well rather than have to log into both apps individually.
So my question....is there a all in one, well facebook and Twitter anyway, widget that does a similar job to the Social Networking widget in Blur ?
Have looked through the Market and nothing leaps out at me.
I used to use Colorized Widget
the only gripe with that is 1) it doesn't work with Launcher Pro
2) I believe to get twitter and fb on one widget you have to get the paid app?
Another is Pure Messenger Widget it's a paid app again.. but it does both
Last, is Launcher Pro Plus. it's launcher alternative.. which has those functions built in. again it's a paid app

yeah LP already comes with widgets. i dont use launcher pro, i would if it were as smooth and had as much options as ADW EX. colerized widgets is nice though, there are another set called ADP widgets i think
Pure Messenger is awesome but its not battery friendly.
Android Pro Widgets and if you use GO Launcher there is an add on for it.

Many thanks for the suggestions.
Seems as though Blur did come up with one good idea for me at least !
I have tried CM7 and other de-blurred ROM's but that little widget is so handy.

It's alright.. the theme of it isn't that appealing to me imo but its functions were great.

best news widget?

I'm looking for a good news widget mostly i read engadget but their widget is only 4x1 and I'd like a tablet optimized one.
Thanks
Pure News Widget seems to be a good one. Been using it on phone and tab.
Multiple sized widgets, plus resizable if using proper launcher. Scrollable. And many themes. It does tend to use a lot of data but on a tablet, not really an issue.
News360; best news widget available IMHO

+1 to this...just played around with it and it is pretty nice.
Pulse is by far the best, the App shows you multiple sources at once and the widget lets you place any sources on you main screens.
News Flash is pretty sweet! The Widgets are tickers and looks awesome on my Prime
as far as widgets go I like minimal reader for my rss feeds.
However I stopped using it for google currents... no widgets yet but I prefer it over anything else.
