I'd go with sandisk. And, to optimize your phone, completely remove TouchWiz.

How do I go about completely removing it?

Will our fassy's evrn recognize a 32 gb SD? I thought 16gb was the highest.

32gb will work, I'm using 1 now.

I have a 32gig sandisk works great have 10 gigs of music on it plenty of room left over

The brand of the SD card really does not matter much at all, as long as the brand is somewhat reputable -- what does matter is the class, which relates to the read/write speed of the card (2 is slowest, 4 is better, 6 is faster still, 10 is fastest).
Most of SanDisk's 32gb cards are Class 2, so be aware of what you're buying. You can get a well-reviewed Class 4 card (the best price-to-performance option) for a good price from a smaller brand like this:
http://www.amazon.com/3C-Pro-microSD-microSDHC-Adapter/dp/B003UOKK9Y
Class 6 cards are much more expensive, but you can find them around if you look hard enough. Class 10 32gb cards aren't even out yet.

Did you find its worth $30 more than the class 6? Rumor has it class 10 32GB cards don't play nice with android as well. Any issues?

Sandisk or Kingston

What SD came in your phone?
In mine it came with Sandisk but I was making a hard reset on another EVO 3D and it came with a Kingston, the phone is acting weird, it is his second replacement, maybe it has something to do with the SD?

Mine came with a Sandisk 8GeeBee Class 4. Sandisk is a well respected name in flash memory.
Kingston is good. Not quite on par with Sandisk.
I recently bought a PNY 16GB Class 10 (after reading reviews from other EVO 3D owners) so that I can use the DConfig in Synergy to move Dalvik to SD card. Guess we will see how that works out.
I have seen consistent statements across numerous threads from here, PPCGeeks, AndroidForums, etc about the how the quality/speed of the SD card affects performance. Not to be taken lightly!

Firmbiz, I have tried PNY, San Disk and Lexar SDs and all seemed to work to varying degrees. I just upgraded to a 32GB Class 10 TOPRAM micro SDHC and it works fantastic. Great write and read speeds. Have used it in my EVO 3D and a 2nd one in my Asus Transformer and have zero complaints at all. Before this purchase I have never tried TOPRAM but I don't see myself ever going back to PNY, San Disk or Lexar. Just my 2 cents.
launch day evo came with sandisk, my buddy got 1 about a week after launch and had a kingston, had problems with it and got an exchange and it had a sandisk.

speaking of sd cards. i too have noticed the 8gb filling up hella fast! i dont really have anything on it but i only have 1.5 gigs left!
on the upgrading front, 32gb is the way to go. but the class is my question.
class 10 or class 6? does it really make that much of a difference? i.e. is a 10 $40 faster than a 6?
anybody? class 6 or class 10?
I've ben using the Patriot 16gb class 10 for about a week. Its fast and no stability issues.

I don't think a 10 is needed unless you are copying huge files. Performance wise you probably won't notice a difference visibly between the 2. Class 6 is plenty for a phone. Save the extra cash for a nice case or something. I have a class 6 adata card & it is just as fat as my patriot class 10. They both write at around 8mb/s. Don't get patriot brand because they do not perform to their rating. If a card is rated 6 it could still write at 10 speeds. Its class rating is usually the minimum write speeds.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
I got the kingston 16geebee class 10 card when it first came out. I spent 100 bucks on it and after 2 replacements, the write speed has never been 10mB/s. it will hover between 2-5mB/s when I'm copying over roms or movies. NEVER get this card its a waist of money. I've also had many pictures corrupted because of it. however, I've seen other class10's that blow **** outa water. they are fast. imo its not a waist of money, as long as you dont get the ****ing kingston

I have a 32gb in mine, though it's only a class 4, very few electronics, even ones that advertise it support class 10 when benchmarked, so I saved my money and got a class 4, which is quick enough for anything I've done with it so far.
class 10 DOES work..i'm using one now..its a patriot.

There hava been a lot of reports of people buying 32 gig SD cards only to have them either not work properly or not be REAL 32 gig cards. **people have been faking them and selling them as 32 gig cards**. This post is not to say all are fake obviously, just letting you all know not to buy from some fly-by-night operation and make sure you're getting the real deal. Chances are if it's cheap and too good to be true, it's either gonna break soon and you'll lose all yer data or it's fake. Good luck all.
Class 10 cards will work even in Class 2 devices, they are backward compatible. Just means you won't get the speed benefit of Class 10.

Yeah, I read that since the 64GB were primarily exFAT formatted, they wouldn't work initially but after a format to FAT32 it worked perfectly. So after the price goes down (or when the 128GB cards come [we need em now XD]) I'll definitely get one.
Well thats good to know for future reference, really I only need this card for movies. All my music streams from the cloud, and I am not a huge picture taker, this will be my main card for quite awhile =D will wind up using it on my note or note 2 (or whatever they will call it) whenever I get that, well 64GB get to this price then maybe I will upgrade =P Still baffles me that you can fit 32GB on a fingernail size piece of plastic =P

Anything that's class 10 is fast enough, eg for 1080p video. Transcend do a good one but if you don't mind paying a bit more then the SanDisk Extreme is excellent.

Sandisk Ultra Class 10.
I use class 4 16 gb instead of 32 gb class 10, feels better for me. Just look at the prices, there are these very cheap ones and expensive ones, try to buy one with a price that makes sense, in sd cards, generally pricey means durability, so focus on prices and get something your budget likes.

Hmm....currently using class 4 16gb sandisk with no problems. Thinking of expanding to 32 gb.
Price is secondary, i dont want to end up paying on a sd card which stops working after a few days of usage.

I have a class 10 32gb Lexar. It's read speed is brilliant - like all decent class 10 cards. It's write speed is quite low.
As a result I use my lexar sd for the storing of music, videos, apks etc. But I tend not to 'write' onto it with camera and video stuff. It will probably be fine but the write speed isn't that high so I don't want to risk errors or anything.
Thanks for ur advice guys
