No 3D content in WATCH? - HTC EVO 3D

I flipped through every movie available and didn't notice anything tagged as 3D...I thought there would at least be 1 or 2 additional 3D movies I could purchase...am I missing something? Or just expecting too much too soon?
Thanks dudes

HTC and Sprint Trolled us.
There is only one 3D movie for our phones, and a terrible one at that. We got owned.

Green hornet isnt terrible,,, isn't the gladiator or braveheart lol but its not dance flick either lol
Bussin Caps from my 3D shooter

Right now we're kind of on our own for "finding" 3D movies/videos. There are plenty of 3D movies available online, you just have to find them (legally, of course )

A little birdie said netflix should get a few 3D movies that can be watched on 3D tvs and glasses free devices....no time frame though.

Different screen technologies. The Evo uses a parallax screen which blocks one eye from seeing what the other eye can see which creates the 3D effect. See here for more info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallax_barrier
Hence when you close one eye you lose 3d because you arent seeing one of the images at all. And when you are looking at 3d media if you change the viewing angle a lot the image will flutter.

because the 3d on the evo is a gimmick, and 3d on tvs is not.
TV uses glasses with a shutter IIRC, wherein the glasses simulate a left/right motion or up/down (or both) 120+ times a second to help create the 3d effect.
Or I could be totally wrong, I'm just trying to recall what I was told....
Shutter Glasses are vital signs for creating a 3D effect. The shutter glasses are basically an expensive pair of glasses, which has a layer liquid crystal on lenses that turns dark when voltage is applied. Infrared help in signal transmission to sync the Shutter Glasses with the 3D TV set and it’s electronic circuits controls them in creating the 3D impact, when they are worn while watching TV.
The content for 3D are basically pulled out from three major sources.

As per... http://discusstech.org/2011/01/how-does-a-3d-tv-work/
All I know, my head hurts when watching too much 3D on an in-home 3D TV.
EVO 3D it isn't too bad.
Cool
And the reason why they don't make TV's like this?
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Proximity... You'd need to remain in a relative position to have optimum viewing of the displayed media for the EVO 3D.
I can sit in almost any location where our 3D TV is located and have a decent view of the screen still.
EVO 3D, I have to keep it in a good somewhat consistent location to view it decently.
The wikipedia posting above has a lot of good information for how our phones work.

Because the screen on the 3vo requires your eyes to be between certain distances from the screen, and facing it head on in order for the effect to work. With TV, people will all be watching from different angles and distances, so it won't work for that.

Toshiba is working on glasses free 3dtv. They had a prototype of them at this past CES in January. It worked pretty good and you didnt have to stay in one spot or view it face on.
I can't find the link (more like too lazy right now), but it was just out at a convention in China I believe...
Lenticular lens lay over sheets to be placed on devices up to 23" for an affordable price are coming out in the near future it looks like.
Glasses-less 3D TV's are just around the corner... We're not that far off in technology land.

Yes, If you type in 3D I think about 6-8 movies will pop-up and you can even preview them.
So... how would I rent a movie on the market and stream it to my 65 inch LCD? would iMediashare work for that? Or do I have to watch it on the itty bitty little screen?
Mike
Those 6-8 movies dont play in 3d n show no where in the discription that they will play in 3d. N only one has a 3d trailer

[Q] 3d/movies for evo3d

I got the Rogers EVO 3D and it has no 3d app center and on the HTC watch app ive only found 2d movies. I got a sample of the Resident Evil 3d movie but it was the wrong type of 3d for the phone. Where can I find a 3d movie site to buy movies for the phone?
Try droidappz.com, their is a 3D movie section. There are some that are converted to 3D from 2d that don't look so well but the true 3D ones are great.

search for 3dvplayer. Not sure anymore if its free or not. It can play 3d movies, but you can also stream a lot of movies there. Only downside is that it streams veeeeeeeryy slow. I think 3dvplayer could even play .mkv files in 3d.

evo3dmovies.com and 3dmobilism.biz are both sites that are copying the work of the original place to find HTC EVO 3D movies.
its called Sick-Flix

You have to verify you own the 3D movie before you can download, but they have samples, trailers, tv shows, and all the info you could want to know.
Hope this helps

Your opinion of the best 3D movie scenes for Evo 3D

Hi Guys,
Been using the 3D features of my Evo 3d for a few days now and loving it. Although a lot of 3D movie content is available, most just dont have that "WOW" factor. Just wanted to ask everyone what their favorite scene is from which movie.
As strange as it is, mines from yogi bear. In my opinion it is absolutely THE BEST 3D scene which i have seen on the Evo so far. Unbelievable.
Starts @ 1:40 and goes on for a few seconds. Just watch Yogi and the food especially the nachos literally pop out from your screen.
Use keepvid to download the below video from you tube and watch on the evo 3d default player.( Don't forget to play in 3D and not 2D)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=253rmDWdFY8
You can now watch directly on youtube in 3D for android without downloading(I think)
Let me know which ones your fav scene.
There is a scene in Despicable Me where the characters are riding a roller coaster and you view it from their POV. I was surprised how suddenly my stomach started to tense up as the coaster was going over the first drop.
The entire Avatar movie blows me away on the evo
Where about it Despicable Me?
Avatar yeah thats in a league of its own BUT if you ask me this particular few second scene beats everything. Depth is one thing but the way everything pops out is just amazing.

Agreed. When they are flying around on the banshees is one scene that sticks out to me a particularly good one.
I have seen all of the above.
Best 3D scene is Jackass 3D near the end. The blow-up scene where everything literally is flying around still has me rolling on the floor. Oh, and don't forget to check out the "hot dogs" flying from the grille.
Can't beat spykids

I agree... Due to capacity, I took video editing software and cut out the last scene of the movie. The last 20 or 30min of the movie and put it on the Evo that scene alone just to show friends and family.
