Hey guys, I was scrolling through Android Apps & Games thread and I came across this cool Windows Phone 7 music player. It is still in it's beta stage, but it works flawlessly on my phone. If you're on CM7 I definitely recommend this application. Best of all.. IT'S FREE!

Giving it a shot... oh yeah. First!
Love - the disable lockscreen while playing music option. Love being to tap my power button and be right inside the app. The extra artist photos are a nice touch for the player background (you also see album art)
If you want a Zune'ish looking font in the player it'll have to be your system font or a skin which you can get on the market.
Overall love it so far... going to be using this over stock and MIUI. A 4x4 widget like in MIUI would be cool. I have all of these homescreens with nothing big to fill them. But the fact that it has that disable lockscreen makes up for it i think. Also gesture right or left to skip/go back. See changelog in link for more details.

I just <3 this app only thing missing to me is the notification bar change of song (like the sgs4g music player) and the lyrics other than that amazing

Yeah, this is really an awesome music player. The newer version of the app isn't the WP7 theme. You would have to download the theme from the market, its called "Metro"

I'm running 2.1 Generic Rooted. I also use FolderOrganizer with the Widgets/Containers.
I've noticed running the Sony 2.1 Home Screen that the transpararent background of the FolderOrganizer containers looks A LOT better than it use to.
However I prefer to run LauncherPro. When I use LauncherPro though the gradients look like they use too on 1.6.
Has anyone noticed this?

does it help if u go to Preferences, Advanced Settings, then check High Quality Scrolling ?
The one with stock Sony launcher does look better.
BTW thats a nice wallpaper.. mind sharing it?

No dice. I did notice though that when I flip through home screens the gradient is "Sony Home Screen Quality" for a second then when the page is finished "bouncing" the gradient turns back to the ugly LauncherPro style.
Quite odd. Now that I've noticed it, it bugs me.
EDIT: Ok with the high quality scrolling on it looks normal anytime I'm scrolling pages. So I have HQ but only when scrolling then it is low quality when you release the screen. What the hell.
We all know about the "LG Home" app in the market that always force closes when you try and change the volume. Well, little did we know that a developer by the name of aalopez10 had already messed with it enough to make it usable. Since I will be moving to the Evo 3D when it is released, I decided to visit the Evo 4g boards to see what cool mods have been cooked up and what I could expect.

Go to that topic and download it. I have it on my Vibrant right now and it works wonderfully. He also has some LG widgets there as well.
BUGS ( WILL BE FIXED SOON )
-The Uninstaller on the app drawers doesnt work yet, it force closes.
-When u open the launcher, you will see "Problem loading widgets". You can delete them and then add them again and there should be no problem using the widgets after that,
-LG Calander Widget doesn't sync with events, but widget does load and work on homescreen, (will see if theres a fix soon).
Make sure you click "Thanks" for the work aalopez10 has done and if you wanna "Thank" me for showing you, I wouldn't be against that either. I will try and keep this topic updated whenever I see that the bugs are fixed.

I guess no one is interested in this? The original developer seems to have not updated it in a long time so bug fixes might not come fast. Unless someone else want's to pick this up.

I think you just have to set one of your 7 available Touchwiz homescreens to look like the wallpaper you wish to have.
Then take a picture of this homescreen with the stock GS2 Screen Capture app (Home + Power buttons).
Then set this picture as wallpaper.
Don't know about the rendering quality of this wallpaper but shouldn't look so bad.
Maybe it's worth a try.

If you only want the background picture of the displayed homescreen, then it's available in the stock wallpapers of the GS2.
If you want your background picture to look like the homescreen shown on your picture, you can set one of the 7 available Touchwiz homescreens to your taste, then you take a picture of this homescreen with the stock Screen Capture of the GS2 (Home + Power button).
Then you set this picture as wallpaper and you're done.

Whoa, thanks... I didn't notice that this background was actually among those available by default... guess I'm quite an idiot but hell, I didn't look almost at all inside that stock wallpaper gallery... I always use some live wall's I found "here & there"!

maybe a music player? Or you could use the power control widget and resize it to fit right there.

I've had setcpu there before but when you touch the widget it opens the program and I somehow overclocked my phone high enough to cause it to reboot so it got stuck in a circle. Learned my lesson from that one. Any other ideas?

check out an app called "screen off and lock"... should be one of those spaces
then throw a 1x1 system tuner pro shortcut right there for the CPU settings or something.

I 've liked the first look for time playing but 1/4 was advertisment. And after some seconds I had full screen advertisment. I can't see now why I should change back from default player.
