Saveonlaptops UK have keyboard in stock - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/ASUS_OEM_EeePad_Transformer_TF101_Dockin_1098373.html
They have 10 left after my order at just under £100 plus p+p. Spoke to them on phone. They are not in retail packaging because they have been split from packages of the 16gb Transformer with keyboard where customers wanted the Transformer only. They still have the normal warranty.
Goodness only knows how much longer I would have to wait for the keyboard in retail packaging. I was told another week but anticipated dates have proved rather unreliable.
I have dealt with them before and they have been very helpful.
Hope this helps someone else in the UK who does not want to wait any longer.

i have a UK keyboard dock ready for shipping if anyone still needs one. £150.00 retail boxed brand new.

Keyboard Dock Uk Stock

I see Ebuyer.com now have 61 units in stock for next day delivery only £99.99 inc free super saver delivery
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/270540
Update 22nd June 2011
Ebuyer now put price up to £199.99 WTF
the price is still a bit steep for early adopters who missed the asus keyboard offer in April....
... it certainly is steep - BUT i got mine at the weekend - it arrived from dabs.com (also 99 quid) -after waiting 3 weeks for stock to come in.... it is awesome - totally changes how I can use it. Really great. There was a firmware upgrade as soon as I first used it which I've seen discussed on other threads.
I just need to find a decent folio case for the whole thing now . . .

yeah..agree the kb dock itself is awesome..and should be a must have for most TF owners....
the battery in the dock really makes it a life changer..
not really complaining about its price...it's probably the only thing that's priced close to its US version...was hoping asus can extend its early adopter offer a bit though..
I wouldnt pay that much for it tbh, lucky i got mine originally from asus at the offer price but sold mine as apart from the extra juice it didnt suit my needs after using the tablet for a while but it is a clever way of making it hybrid.
but thinking about it when the asus case costs 39.99 retail with pdair cases going for £60, yiou do get a lot for your money and it does not seem that bad of value
I got mine separately because I wanted the 32 Gig version which isn't offered as a bundle with keyboard which is odd to say the least.
As you say the battery life now truly incredible.
Just got my dock on order with ebuyer.
Do you get a separate psu for the dock?

How to pruchase a keyboard dock from the UK to Spain
I wonder if any of you lads in the UK can help me: I live in Barcelona , Spain and I ordered my TF101 from the USA, I will get it in some days. In the online store they weren't offering the keyboard Dock , and I have tried to order it within Spain but it seems here they only sell it bundled with the tablet (16 gb or 32 gb). So far I haven't been able to find a shop (offline or online) that sells them separately, I have been looking into the ones you mention here from the UK but so far they all serve UK residents only. On ebay there are only a few merchants offering it but far too pricey (the cheapest is around 140 pounds (besides with English/Chinese keyboard layout), I would like one with either English or Spanish layout, so buying one from the UK would be just as good. Can anyone suggests me an online shop in the UK that delivers to continental Europe? (apart from ebay and Amazon of course)
Many thanks in advance!
You could try Dabs.ie, they have some on order at the moment but should be the European arm of Uk based Dabs.com.

Thanks, but that is only for Irish customers, I found out they only serve UK and Ireland. But thanks anyway for answering!
Just checked ebuyer and they have 9 left but put 100 pound on the price. I bought mine for 99 pound on tuesday night and they are now 199 pound. What a scam unless it is a typo

[Q] Preordering/Buying the Prime from abroad:

Hi I am an Ipad user who is eager to move to the transformer Prime.
I would appreciate any advice regarding the following doubt I have.
You must be aware of the increase in price when asus "converts" the USD to Euros or Pounds. So I have been considering the option to buy the pad in the US and wait for the Spanish keyboard.
I have contacted several official sellers and they can mail me the tablet all right. However they do not provide many details regarding, how much the official taxes will be.
I also know that companies, like "Unibox" for sudamerica, are available to receive your product in the US and mail it to you for a price.
I wonder if anyone who has bought a phone or tablet in the US from Europe could share their experience with us.

I'm spanish and have bought the prime from amazon.de (i know german). Just the tablet, and will wait for the spanish dock to be on sale, because after contacting every retailer i know in spain, everyone has said "no info/not allowed to say" or "late january or even february" about spanish prime release date. For waiting the same time to get tablet + dock, without knowing where i will be able to buy, or what versions, i already ordered the german tablet and will wait with the tablet in my hands for the spanish dock, which should be in almost every retailer by the time it comes out.

In my country:
599 USD = 2040 PLN + 23% VAT = 2512PLN
The price is said by ASUS Polska to be 2699 PLN. So it's quite close. Shops will sell it for 2499 in a few weeks.

That is very a interesting thing to know... I am glad to hear that in Poland you do not let international companies steal from you
The price in Sweden will initially be ~888USD including tax for 32gb champange with dock. (Only model that will be released in january)

Chance of Asus offering 6 month warranty & refund?

So, what are the chances of Asus Global or USA offering that same program for North America region? It started in Taiwan, and in UK (although only the 6 month warranty).. but when will we see that "program" in North American region?
It's been over a month since the release of Prime & we can only speculate or assume that same deal will arrive stateside. However, I prefer to see Asus actually make an official statement.....
I really can't figure out why they are "delaying" (if they are) such announcement... Doesn't it get much more complicated as time goes on...... such as classifying the term of Prime owners who are eligible and etc (due to retail vendors still listing GPS in spec list)?
We won't see it in the U.S., too many primes out on the market and they will continue to release them. I surmise that the only reason why they offered refunds were because of a nasty batch that was sent to the Europeans (and Britons). Plus that batch was small, so the # of returns would be small and insignificant.
ASUS didn't offer a refund in the UK. They offered a six month warranty extension, and then merely suggested that anyone who's unhappy with GPS on the Prime return it to their retailers under UK's standard return rules. They DID NOT offer a direct refund to Prime owners beyond what they're allowed by law.
I don't know if Taiwan is any different. Whether they'll do that here most likely depends entirely on what their lawyers tell them about the likelihood and cost of a successful class action suit.
Why do people keep thinking that the refund is anything special? All they said was that you can return it to the shop you bought it at for a full refund, something you can do by law in the UK anyway.

Yeah, what I said...
Man, I'm still hoping for 6 month extended warranty & full refund by ASUS program to start soon here in stateside.
Or is this starting to be more and more... a wishful thinking?
You will never get an extended refund window. Maybe an extended warranty though unless the problems can mostly be fixed in software updates. Any hardware issues should have been returned to the store in the normal return period.
There are quite a few people that had to send to repair as the Seller did not want to offer a refund. (Example TigerDirect and GameStop) Therefore you need to send to repair and that kills your 30 days exchange as well. They said can't get an exchange cause guess what? it is fixable! Mine is at RMA since Jan 11th in the system. Waiting for parts...

Asus Taiwan offered such deal.. (although, i don'tk now the exact detail) after a month of Prime release.
But yea, I'm starting to think extended refund window is starting to be more and more wishful thinking on my part (Gamestop.. Office Depot have crappy return policy).
But Asus announcement on GPS & metal backplate was made 1 or 2 days before 14 day return grace period (such as Best Buy).... nor did Asus give adequate time to actually return the device (except for those who follow their facebook page religiously). Thus.. why.. I'm.. still hopeful.. granted, it seems hopeless

Asus Parts

I just got referred to this site by Asus to purchase a replacement uk clip for the charger as they won't replace my broken one.
http://www.asusparts.eu/index.php?cPath=222155_222301
Prices are pretty good until you add the DHL cost to uk.
€6.67 plus vat for the clip and €17.55 for delivery.
May be cheaper if your in mainland Europe though.
May as well go to asus uk and get the full kit for £24.99 plus £6 delivery.
All I gotta say is Europeans are annoying! They keep bidding on my ebay items even though I specifically said US bidders only. For example, I just sold a hard drive to a European bidder. My shipping price was 9.99, but that was for US only! It's been like 4 days and the guy hasn't paid yet, so I had to relist.
Last night, I was able to find the settings to block foreign bidders.
Annoying Europeans... why don't they buy locally? Why bid on hard drives half a world away?

Totally agree with you there.
I wouldn't buy from US or China etc due to the high shipping costs.
I myself sell to UK only yet still get requests from Spain, Germany etc etc even though it's listed as uk only.
There certainly are a lot of empty heads about
Anyway I just ordered the new charger from Asus UK at £30.99 inc delivery and paid by paypal.

Where to buy?

Finally decided to go for this over the Sony Smartwatch 3 (due to the dormant speaker) and Currys/PC World are out of stock online and don't stock instore. Struggling to find any sellers (UK), not even on Amazon UK. Where have all the UK people bought theirs from?
I'm in Italy and I bought it on Amazon.de, they should ship to the UK too
Still can't find stock! Checked Amazon. De and. Es and it's been listed as Pre Order only for a few weeks now. Seems like there's a supply chain issue? Unless they are holding them back until the update with speaker support

I'm in the UK and I ordered it from https://www.alza.co.uk/trendy/asus-zenwatch-2-sparrow-wi501q-gunmetal-d3020083.htm?o=2 who are based in Europe. Obviously the charger has a euro style plug on it, however as the USB charging cable is detachable from it you can charge it off pretty much any USB charger.
It took about 5 days to arrive with the standard shipping option, but the price is actually cheaper than ordering from PC World who have been out of stock for what seems like months.
I bought it form ejoker.de but they are out of stock now (they only have the smaller one now). On Amazon is on preorder since december. I cannot find any reseller in Germany that still has stock at the normal price.
Definitely seems to be something funny going on, unless they are waiting to release the next batch with the update so they can advertise the speaker, and maybe bump the price
I bought it from Amazon.fr and a friend of mine from amazon.es.
Hopefully they'll be available soon. I was planning on ordering the $129 stainless/brown band from Amazon with some birthday gift cards, so other sources aren't an option.
I ended up placing my order thru Amazon for the rose gold with leather strap. It was in stock and I didn't want to wait to see if the silver model would be available again. Should be here Wednesday.
