Hi [email protected],
did the same happened while using 2.1 ?
I had a few freezes like the one you described and a some accident reboots after which my app drawer stopped responding (I had a loading app icons forever) and I had to reset the phone to factory defaults in order to make it work again. I blamed some app for freezing my phone, but after that read that there is a similar issues with other Samsung phones (not only Galaxy 5) recently upgraded to FROYO. I never tried CM myself, only tried stock FROYO and stock Éclair and never had this issue with 2.1.
I've described this bug a few days ago here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141768 and also some other issues while using stock FROYO.

[Q] Random reboots 2 different ROMs?

Hi,
Got 2 different X10s in the house.
Both had WB ROMs for a while.
Both rebooted randomly / asked for pin and reloaded all.
Both installed 2.1 stock
Rooted and so on
Updated to 2.3 ROMs.
One with X10x EWJet Gingerbread V2.3.4ex, one which was one of the first ROMs after 2.3 came out (forgot which one that was).
Both still reboot randomly.
What can I do/must I check?

[q] tap tap revenge 4

hey, so ive up installed 2.3.4 on i9000 and it suddenly while playing started lagging the balls werent going smooth , in comparation with 2.2.1 its super slow and laggy , please , i saw a thread here but nobody could respond properly
is this an official update from 2.2.1 to 2.3.4 or are you talking about custom roms? if you are talking custom roms, you can try using another kernel or consider using another custom rom. if you are talking about an official update, i suggest trying custom roms
my original rom was 2.3.3 , but ive compared to my moms one which is 2.2.1 //
ive flashed it with the latest ROM on sammyfirmware , kinda very strange because on quadrant its above the nexus even , but a simple tap tap game is laggy ..

[q] sga 2.3.6 xxkpp

Hello guys I've just installed 2.3.6 official rom on my SGA. I've noticed some thing that really bugs me... The lock bug. I had 2.3.3 on some time ago because 2.3.4 had the same thing when you unlock your phone it laggs so much that you have to wait like for 2-3 sec so you can work on it. Not long ago I installed 2.3.5 which was even worse from 2.3.4 so I downgraded to 2.3.3 and last few days I've noticed a new version of stock rom was released the 2.3.6 which works better then 2.3.4 but still laggs... Does any one know any solutions how to fix it and please don't advice me any custom rom cause I like the stock. My homescreen is almost empty and the device is clean so I should be a problem in some app or something .
So any solutions?

If you are referring to a problem like this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kwll8ZfgaD0
Then i had the same issue, the only fix is to either never let the screen turn off (which consumes the battery) or run one of the two roms that dont have that issue, those would be
- Stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 latest ones (TPH or PAN)
- Arkas 1.2.3. (based on Gingerbread)
Every other single rom i tried has the same issue (CM7-10,MiUi,...).
Best of luck

My GT-I9300 overheating problem.

Hi I wanted to ask you about a heating problem with my galaxy s3 .
I flashed the boeffla kernel in the archi port rom with android 4.4.2 , and I overclocked it to 1.6 ghz ,
I've done that with cyanogenmod 11 and have not encoutered any problems but needed to change to a touchwiz rom since cyanogenmod doesn't have hdmi capability
Everything worked fine for a month but after that my phone feels slightly warm when browsing/watching videos and feels hot playing intensive games like asphalt 8
I put the frequency to 1.4 ( the default one ) but it did not stop so I reflashed the archiport rom ( thought the stock kernel would fix it ) but it didn't
I even restored a backup of my phone in cyanogenmod 11 but it did not stop
I want to ask you for help since you are very good at this, and I have an extra question : Do you think flashing the stock android 4.3 firmware with odin will help ?
I am sorry if I posted in a bad section this is my first thread here .

It s normal that phone overheats. But if it overheats too much that s not good. Try to reflash 4.3 with odin and see if the problem persists.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
Hi I have flashed the androis 4.3 and have noticed improvement
I dont have any heat using apps like chrome and xda free ( it got a little warm when I browsed with chrome with other roms ) and when I played angry birds go , it got a little warm when I turned the app and stayed like thst without a tempersture change
I included the screenshot of the time they used the cpu
I know I screwed up a little with overclocking but is my warmness when playing 3d games normal now
