[Q] Arm band holder - HTC EVO 3D

Has anyone tried a hold like THIS ONE. I'm thinking about getting one so I can use it while running, but I'm just afraid of the phone falling(Flying) out. And does anyone know if the touch screen would work through the covering?

Looks good, but yeah I hear your concern about the phone might be flying out while running and swing the arm to hard.
It doesn't seem to have anything on top of the insertion point to secure the phone. Maybe you have to mod it a little, i dunno.

i wouldn't worry too much their pretty snug i have one for my itouch and it doesn't move at all when you tighten the velcro band around your arm it basically seals itself
Edit: and to save you some money their is also this one http://cgi.ebay.com/Blue-SPORT-ARM-...868534?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27bc4cb636
this one is just like the one you linked http://cgi.ebay.com/Sport-Gym-Armba...655725?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20bac8806d

I use this:
http://www.amazon.com/Tune-Belt-Incredible-smartphones-protective/dp/B003ZJGZ8O/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt
I used it for my OG EVO and am now using it for my 3D. It works great. It's quite snug, but that's how it should so it doesn't fall out. I haven't noticed any condensation like that one reviewer stated. I've used it for long runs - half marathon, 10ks, etc.

And will I be able to use the touch screen at all through the clear cover on the arm band?

yes, you can use the touch screen through the clear cover

Will it fit a 3VO with a TPU case?

I Don't think so. It must be nude.

I use the old one I had for my EVO 4G and it works fine too. Can't remember where I got it, but it was a snug fit with a flap at the top to stop it from flying out. I'll try to take a picture later.

I bought one of the red ones that OP mentioned and it fits well and haven't had any issues with it at all. The quality I was a little worried about when I bought it but it seems to be pretty decent.

I end up buying one armband for the ATT infuse 4G off ebay for about $7.5 shipped from USA (HK is cheaper but i didn't want to wait that long), I reasoned that since the infuse is both taller and wider (but less thick) a 3VO in TPU case should hopefully fit.
I should get it later this week or early next week, will report then.

Otterbox Commuter doesn't fit?

So I just got the otterbox communer (commuter?) and I noticed it doesn't fit on the top.. there is a slight gap between the top of the phone where the speaker is and the actual case.. it doesn't really make contact.
Is this the norm or should I exchange mine?
Mine fits fine. I really like it. I had for my EVO 4G as well. You just have to adjust it and make sure its on right.

I had it for the old Evo as well.
I tried adjusting it, it is simply just made a slight bit bigger than the phone itself. I think I'll take it back tomorrow and see if a different one fits better.
Only problem with that is, I used the screen protector.... will they still take a return?
mine fits a started off with the defender n it was way to bulky 4 me took it back and got a commuter. couldn't be happier... well till theres root > anyway have u tried pushing the top in some more?
I agree. The silicone is definitely a bit big. I can see the headphone hole when I look under the case with it on
Mine fits the same way. Theres a small gap at the top. I think Im going to return it because of this. Im too OCD to see that gap all the time.
Just got a 3vo today with a commuter case...fits fine..no problems..

It's eating me up... I had this phone naked since the 23rd? It's made me crazy thinking I was gonna scratch it... now I get the usually exceptionally nice otterbox... and it doesn't fit =\
How about the screen protector that comes with it? is it worth it to out it on?

The screen protector that comes with it is nice. Don't buy the "sprint" ones because they don't cover the entire screen....
I installed the screen protector and it fits perfect. No issues at all. Maybe return the case or contact otterbox. They have great customer service.

It doesn't fit perfectly in the iGrip car dock that Sprint's selling, if you want it to charge you'll have to snip off the rubber USB cover and modify the dock just a bit. Nice dock, though.
Just exchanged the commuter case for another one.... same problem. That little gap up top is going to be a catch-all for all sorts of junk =\
Anyone know of another case like this? I like the rubber case with the plastic clipping overtop of it... that way it doesn't scratch the phone.

Looks good. I need to find some pretty close up pix of how it fits on the phone tho.. since that's the only issue I have with the otterbox.
I'm experiencing the same thing, its pissing me off, IDK why they didn't make it so you had to stretch the rubber over the phone, its too big for the phone...
would have been okay if the black plastic piece went over the top and crimped it in place, but as we all know, there isn't any there
Since you guys mentioned it, now I see it too.
A lot of dust/lint collected in just one day it seems as I found out after taking the cover off to see if I could readjust the silicone to make it fit better. No go!
I think I am gonna return this!
Does any one know if Case-mate Tough Case is as pretty as this Otter Commuter baby?

Anyone else miss the kickstand?

That's the only Evo 4G feature I'm really missing. I used it quite a bit... kind of bummed they got rid of it.
Best Buy sells a case with a kickstand. Inexplicably pricey like all cell phone cases, but worth it if you miss the kickstand.

Many more much needed upgrades that have been added, easily account for the kick stand and they sell nifty cases with manly kickstands
Sent from a dual core beast 3VO. Do this on your iFail 4
My kickstand messed up and wouldn't stay closed, so no I do not miss it.
I miss mine. I never put my phone flat on its face or on its back in fear of messing up the screen or camera. I always used the kick stand. It was really nice watching Sprint TV, web tv, hulu, movies, and playing video games using the kickstand. Now I have to go buy some stupid clunky case.
+1 for missing the kickstand. Maybe someone will make an extended battery case with a kickstand in it.. I'd buy that with real money.
I thought I would miss it but I havent missed it at all.

I do, even though I never used it.
i miss it even though i didn't use it all that much. more of a show-off feature. i went into best buy today and looked at their piece of **** kickstand case. it is 35.00$ the actual kickstand is thin plastic. i will get an htc case with the big metal kickstand once i find a black one.
the one thing i am seeing though is when this phone is on it's kickstand the charging port is going to be sitting on the bottom. not a huge deal for me since i didn't use it for long periods of time, but a really big FAIL for htc. should have left the charging port at the bottom like the 4G
Never used it, to be honest.

Apparently the microUSB port does HDMI-out. Look up "MHL port" on google. Special cable required, of course, and an HDTV not more than 2 years old "might" be completely MHL compatible too.
I miss mine and also the Micro USB port on the bottom.

[Q] Cases with a kickstand

Does anyone know a good case with a kick stand? The most important features are just the kickstand and thinness. I know Casemate makes a great one, but it's way too thick.
This one seems okay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/TPU-FoldOut...ccessories&hash=item2eb8015e60#ht_2188wt_1163
But I'd have to make a slight modification for the microphone, and most importantly, I don't know if it will fit. I'm quite weary of any of these cases that can fit both the international and ATT versions.
I bought my GS2 on launch day and ATT had 4 different cases in the store. Case Mate was the only one offered with a kick stand but it felt cheap so I opted not to get it. There was a nice leather case but none of them fit the phone, lol. Guess those will be sent back.

Thanks for the link and the info...I too got my SGSII on launch day and was disappointed at the lack of accessories and items available for the AT&T branded SGSII. I even have communicated with Body Glove about one of their cases (As I have been a fan of that one and used it on my Cappy and Infuse both) but they said they will not be producing a Body Glove case for our phone So I am going to try the above listed one and I will let you know. Maybe even post some screens and update the thread.

It also fits real nicely. The leather case seemed a little too tight and that it would require some effort to put in properly

Pros: Thin, light, tight fit, good kickstand, cheap, quick delivery
Cons: no hole for secondary mic, generic micro usb rechargers have trouble given cutout (stock cable works fine)
Happy enough with it for now.

I was considering that one, but hard cases are more difficult to cut the mic opening.
ny gs2 doesn't say Samsung or att on front.... only says galaxy S on back cover... is that supposed to be like that

Ok, I got the case.
Doesn't fit 100%.
The bottom in particular, but it's barely noticeable. The top mic needs to be cut out some more, which shouldn't be too difficult since it's not plastic.
Case actually looks a lot better than I expected. The kickstand is very flimsy, which I expected. Once you put the stand up, don't put any pressure on it. It's very likely to just snap off. The power button becomes pretty stiff, too.
They also ran out of minisuit keychain screen cleaners. They said if I want one, email them about how I feel my order is "incomplete without one," and they'll send one when they have more stock.
Kind of a weird way to make us word it.
Either way, I'd recommend this if you need a very sleek and thin case that doubles as a flimsy kickstand.

Yes that is the exact case I have it has been great so far, also if you turn the phone facing the other way the audio jack is mostly uncovered. I think you would still need to cut it out just a little but not near as much.

I've actually found that with this holster if I push the phone up a little bit from the bottom I can use the headphone jack.
The phone would be in the holster WITH the cover closed and basically just not touching the bottom of the holster.
But I don't know if the only reason that works is because I have a bulky (d3o) case.
Other cases or just the bare phone might cause the phone to slide down and sit on the bottom anyway.
Also was just on T-mobiles site and I noticed a D3o pouch as well

Thanks for the info. I just ordered the running armband. I like the design of it better than the generic one I have for my Note II
Another Belt- based option.: http://www.amazon.com/SPIbelt-Small...e=UTF8&qid=1416851897&sr=1-1&keywords=spibelt
I grabbed one of these from a Running store a while back and have used it with my Galaxy S II (T989), Nexus 4, and now my Nexus 6. The nexus 6 is a bit of a tight fit but it works perfectly and does not fall down so long as you tighten the band correctly and have it above your hips, and not on them. I pair this with a cheaper BT stereo headset while running because I can't stand cords at all while working up a sweat.

Just had a 3 miles run with running buddy 6+. It attaches very well with my track pants. Nexus 6 snugs nicely (seems like it will fit well with snap on case) and do not bounce while running. It do feel awkward mainly due to how big phone is. I think will get used to in a while. Its definitely better than arm bands. Attached few pictures.
I was running yesterday with the Google Nexus 6 Easy Fitting Sport Case and Armband Combo from SUPCASE.
I'm really happy with the armband. It holds the Nexus 6 perfectly in place.

Does the rubber case part of the armband easily come off or is it pretty tight on the phone? I was thinking about getting this one.
On the front the case covers all the non-display area. The Phone sits tight in the case. To get the phone out I always pull on an edge on the bottem (2nd photo). So I have no problems to get the phone out of the case. The whole case consits of rubber.

I've always used TuneBelt. I went through AB86 for the Galaxy Nexus, then AB88 for the Nexus 5 (I had to order the AB88 from Germany because it was not available in the UK at the time).
As again, the TuneBelt is not available in the UK yet, I found this one on Amazon and gave it a try as it was so cheap http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QV6849G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 although knowing it was going to be crap.
Well, it's not completely crap, but you get what you pay for, no surprise, and it's too tight. It came with the cardboard insert for the Note 4. It's even tight for the Note 4! (tried with my son's)
So I just went ahead and ordered the AB92 from the Netherlands http://www.ipodhoes.nl/tune-belt-ab92-sport-armband.html
I probably won't be using it as armband at the gym as the phone is so big for my arm it looks ridiculous , but it's still more protection than just the case and with BT earphones I don't need it on me but I like to be able to see the screen for the HR monitor (with a pouch style it would not be possible).
I'll post pics when it arrives.

Following from my post above, I have just received the TuneBelt and here are the pics (lots so I'm linking to my G+ post).

I'm using a Spigen SlimArmour case which is still quite big and it fits very well, it would even take a bigger case.
If you don't use a case, it might be a bit too big, maybe the AB91 would be best.

Any recommendations? I have only found one made for the N6 but there maybe one fit for the note series our iPhone 6+ that will work.
This is what I found: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OHFHOZ8/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_.WRCub1FY0X05

awesome! im getting my nexus 6 this week and i already have my seidio case for it. this is perfect! 16" max so looks like i gotta get the extender (i hate having to spend more money!). so i take it the headphone ports won't work, but i guess i can use my bluetooth headset instead
http://www.amazon.com/Armband-iPhone-Plus-5-5-display/dp/B00NMWWIJY/ref=pd_cp_cps_2
is this the one? looks like it's a little cheaper than their actual site, and i do have to buy the extension piece as well, so if i can save a few bucks here and there that would be great
I have the same one that xaraxx posted and love it
