A developer please mod our build.prop to look like lg 2x or nexus to buy new apps. Games like order and chaos online and some new apps dont support our phone yet and I dont want to end up in piracy so if someone knows how to mod this build.prop I would be grateful. I don't risk to do it by myself, don't have recovery on my phone. I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136814 but it seems different.

I used this file http://hotfile.com/dl/123448780/96944e3/build.zip.html thanks to rossgucci who made it to look like Desire HD because of adreno chip but it won't work. It still shows up as xperia play from Sony Ericsson, I think more things need to be changed but I'm scared to change them and dont have recovery also. Any help would be great.

thanks, however the only way to change sony ericsson was to change the fingerprint to this

Unfortunatelly now its called Htc_wwe Desire HD and its still not compatible, if all steps fail I ll change to this ro.build.fingerprint=HTC/htc_ace/ace:2.3.3/GRI40/87995:user/release-keys which is different from the original htc desire hd build.prop, Ill post the results later
Edit: Now its says 'this app is incompatible with your HTC Desire HD, your device's content rating filter is incompatible with this item'

I believe now it has nothing to do with the build.prop in our device, I just copied the entire build.prop from Xperia Arc to Xperia Play, it worked except wifi(i ported afterwards the wi-fi commands) and again in the market my device (xperia lt15) was incompatible. Any ideas would be appreciated.
You must delete DATA and CACHE for GoogleServicesFramework and Market to propagate changes into Market.

1a) Put together SE legacy stuff, that some of us might miss:
- Backup & restore
- Timescape
1b) Bring stuff from new devices, like ARC, for instance:
- Arc launcher
- Any fancy apps you recommend
2) Publish it via xRecovery as an add-on.
We could centralize all efforts here, on this thread. What do you think? Please post the threads, if you have already efforts or results on part of these (I'm just looking into how to crack licensing for the backup ), I will also try to enlist those.

Known issues: Tray bar is not visible, blocks are too large, drawer window is vertically somewhat small.
Notes: Also tried the one from fifarunnerr for the Wildfire but it is still buggy also with drawer button alignment.
- Sony Ericsson Sync (by me)
Sony Ericsson account can be used from sync accounts. Also sync is provided as an extra app. Theoretically other SyncML accounts could be also used.
Known issues: Font is black with a black background by account settings. By adding a new SE SyncML only first/last name is editable, no phone numbers (maybe a number from the call could be saved, don't know).
Anyway we can restore our old contacts from sbf backups or from Sony, this is cool anyway (saved my butt aswell). With the new contacts app also vcf export is there, so after an export it could be directly fed to Google contacts, cool aswell.
- Voice search
Works flawlessly.
- Track ID
Known issues: Locked, do not work currently.
Biggest thanks goes to Lef.teris for providing the ARC rom.
Works good otherwise, got one FC from timespace during the whole day. I've seen no degradation of original CM rom.

Maybe I'm totally misaligned: too much SE stuff needs to be taken over for some these, don't know. The arc launcher is at least quite standalone.

Sorry, what I meant is that the point is to centralize these efforts in one thread if possible, here in DEV and also package them together. That way we don't have to manage N threads and check what is the latest, is there an effort to do this or that.

i have managed to crack ''SE backup and restore license'' and it loads now on CM6 mini pro...
but ofcrs its nt fully functional so need to work on it and also sm help
i also got ''timescape'' from xperia arc fully running on any froyo device even non SE devices
however for ldpi devices the text is too small to read so need help there too

why dont you attach the files to the post(click on "edit" button then scroll down until you see a brown bar sayng "additional options"... and them select "manage attachments").... it is easyer to download
archflex when i bring an update i will include the right build.prop for this alpha so you wont need that build.prop anymore and that way it will work on cm6 and cm7 this way only on cm6

there is one funny thing here...
some htc desire users reported timescape + ts widget working fine
apart from that even backup and restore was working for them
if some one here could test sms and contacts backup/restore on a non SE phone then it cld be a boon I guess

The resolution the Desire is quite close the Arc (54 pixels difference only ), so at least they could read the Timespace UI

are they really? so it's not a mic problem after all, just there is no notification that 'hey, what the hell are you doing?'
could you send where the locking code is? The good thing is that if one app lock is removed, similarly all other apps could be broken.

I was wondering if its possible to fake the device you have on the market so you can buy whatever you want on the atrix?
Now I've heard of an app called the eris market fix but it doesn't seem to work on our phones.
Does anyone know of an app that can do this that would work on the atrix? I've searched all over the place and I haven't found anything.
I even tried changing a few properties around in the build.prop file including faking a htc desire hd fingerprint. Now when I did this the market on my pc's internet shows my phone as an htc desire but not sure if I got everything right because the game I wanted to get still wont show up on the android market on my phone. Though there does have to be some way to fake the market in the build.prop somehow?? Other people have done this! Any ideas???

Hi, i'm actually looking for a solution in bad graphics for the game "Minion Rush Despicable Me". I think the phone can handle the hd settings and also i found that we can change device's name in build.prop to"fake" a Galaxy s4 or something like that to improve compatibily for some apps in Play store. Is it true? Cause i'm trying to do so but when i reboot, my device name is still "Htc desire X" after I changed it.

the app compatibality part is true, i do it alot but as OneX or OneS but i used an app called markethelper or marketspoofer or something like that (its on xda somewhere) not too sure about the enhanced graphics though (i heard this before aswell)

I tried that one, didn't work for me. For me it just worked to rewrite device name in buiod.prop.

A little workaround might help.
Change your device's name to an Xperia device. Restart phone and try updating it via play store.

I'm on the GPe rom for togari. I got used to the Xperia keyboard with the stock roms, and I'm wondering if there is a way to get it on this rom. Failing that, is there a way to increase the haptic strength of the Google keyboard? I've tried a few Xperia keyboard ports for the Z1, but I'm not sure if it's just model incompatibility or the loss of the Sony framework that causes the force close. Any insight would be appreciated, I'm new to Sony devices.
Not sure if it's this straight forward, but have you tried to copy the keyboard files to system/app and what not? And yes, you can adjust the stock keyboards vibration intensity. Just go to settings and it should be under Advanced Settings or something.

Thanks again. I found the setting to adjust the haptic feedback, and that will work for me if I can't get the Xperia keyboard to work. As far as that though, I haven't tried copying the files. Do you know which files I would need to copy? I tried finding out what files are pertinent to the keyboard, but never really figured out which files do what. I just want the International keyboard. If there is a thread that identifies these files, I would love to find it.
" textinput-tng.apk" in system/app is the keyboard, but I'm not sure if there are some other needed files.

Hmm, it says it's compatible with Sony devices on 4.4.2, but they've clearly forgotten their red headed step child, the GPe. I guess you'll have to dig up the APK.
