This is Rom is aimed at being what users want on their phone. Until we get the CM7, I'll be providing the most flexible options to suit your needs. This would be close to stock at the first and we will see where it goes with what you want. I'll be providing the Rom updates almost daily or even more than once a day. How to Install :
-------------------------
- Copy the Zip File onto your SDcard.
- Turn off your phone & Reboot into CWM Recovery by holding down Vol. UP + Home + Power Button.
- Select "Install Zip from SD Card" & then select "Choose Zip from SD Card"
- Select the GTS-Clean&Greenv0.1 Rom zip you downloaded
- After Installation, restart your phone. It will take a minute or two for the first start up. Form then on, it would be like 20secs.

I've not used it for a longer time to promise that the battery life is more than good. But it's much better than what it was in KF3 for me. There are a lot of tweaks m using on my phone, but i need to roll it out progressively to learn what fits best for this kernel.
In general, i'll be releasing hotfixes and updates on this particular rom to keep you off from downloading the whole rom again & again.

Looks great - will install as soon as it's uploaded. I'm happy with some of the changes in 2.3.4 I've seen in Villain, but don't love Villain in general.

Back up your existing installation
[First flash only] Use the volume keys to select Wipe Data
Select Install Zip from SD Card
Find the update-GingerVillian-CM7-spaarc-xxx.zip file you downloaded earlier
Scroll through and hit Yes, install update-GingerVillian-CM7-spaarc-xxx.zip
Wait for the installation to finish

Okay well wow, what can I say. It is what it is...pure CM 7.1 2.3.5. Quite fast, but a little laggy while pulling down notification bar, and scrolling...maybe tweaks will be implemented later. Camera doesn't work like spaarc said. Haven't tested battery life yet...only a few minutes since install. If spaarc gets camera working on this...which he said he would in an update, then this will be a damn good ROM. FINALLY was waiting for a CM7 ROM that is purely CM7 with GB Launcher2. Hopefully unlike Z's this will not have tremendous battery drain. Only time will tell.

Your boot logo is freaking awesome. I don't know if this is on purpose but I don't like the white lines that go halfway around the trojan man. Personally it should just be him without any border. But nonetheless, nice.
EDIT: After installing DoomKernel 4a the ROM is quite quicker as expected and more responsive but still a little slow when scrolling settings, app drawer and what not. Dialer a little slow to respond after button press...this was an issue in most CM7 ROMs.
Drop in spare parts apk, set windows n transitions to fast, will cover sum lags, possibly set dalvik start cache to 8 and run cache to 48 too.

Battery life on this ROM is, as Mr.Burns would say, "EXXXCEEELLLEENT".
First bug...got WLOD on browser...was browsing, then closed it...opened it again and started typing and WLOD.
I am not sure but it seems that if press the back button out of the browser...and open it again it doesn't reload the page...which it should do?
It seems as if the home button and back button do the same thing when dealing with the browser. With everything else it works fine.
UPDATE EVERYDAY?!...I don't know if I can handle that much awesomness everyday...haha.
EDIT: Just typed something in the search bar and backed out of browser...when I open it again it SHOULD just so a blank search bar...but it shows what I typed in. So it isn't closing the app...just "minimizing it". Back out of Market and open it everything reloads and search bar is blank.

^^im very happy with the battery life so far with speedmod k19. i may have found a workaround for the modded browser. im just trying to sort out the mms conversion but hope to have the slim up in a day or so
as for the odexed request, have no idea on how to do it

I dont normally post, but this rom needs some recognition.
I flashed almost every custom rom on here, this one is by far the best for everyday use. Stable, easily modded, battery life is amazing (regular use for two days just to get the battery under 15 %) and its fast.
Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a "daily driver" rom that can be customized with no effort.
thanks for this beautiful ROM but one thing is very irritating "Swipe screen to unlock " message on unlock screen is unbelivable ugly,is there any fast and easy way to remove this?

im kinda new to rom modding so what others do, i probably cant replicate. this firmware comes with "swipe screen to unlock" but i'll see what i can do. in the meantime i have uploaded the slim rom with full screen browser mod back in, no mms conversion and upto 200 contacts but u will need to clear the cache data in applications for messaging, no increasing ringtone should be working also. im having to use 4shared as multiupload seems to be down

Could the ODEXME application as provided by Paul o'Brien (MoDaCo) help you out?
Any description for GoldEdge Lite? Anyway best rom by now, very good battery, very stable, nice theme, way better than checkrom v.5. Nonlite version have been updated with speedmod v19?

one of the best roms i've ever tested !
i flashed this great ROM.
i always change my ROM every 3-4 days, but since ive flashed this rom(for more than 2 weeks, v1+v2), i havent flashed any other rom, this ROM is really great, its very beautifull & fast. specially biftor theme is very beautiful and it has very cool animations even cooler than jelly bean's animation.

I flashed this rom, and i love the theme, but i want to know something, its normal if i get FC on first boot? because i get it, and, when the phone starts, stills reading SD card forever, that on first boot, because when i reboot it boots normal, and i dont get keyboard, when i try to put my name i got voice keyboard. Is that normal?

ive flashed the Rom more than 100 times, but i didnt have any problem like what you said.
i think it happen because ive parted the rom to 3 parts, i test it now, if what i say be correct ill try to upload the rom again in just one part.
try this: extract the rom and zip it again and install it again with full wipe.

yes, JB Roms are very popular, but they are still in Beta version, and however they are very stable, its still very risky to flash them. im waiting for official JB Rom.

if you use super wipe cleaning script, you wont get any fc, but if you just do a full wipe, you will get fc just on first boot, but you won't get it again. i still don't know why it happens, but ill try to fix it on next version.

Launcher looks awesome, but it FC's when picking Livewallpaper and pressing the Home th...(theme?) (between info and wallpaper) also FCs.
I'll report back later if I find something
And just some ideas for further updates.
- other systemUI e.g Xperia Z one.
- advanced power menu with reboots etc.
- battery percentage would be a nice too

Its ICS rom so you may flash ICS kernel like suave, nightelf or vengeance

Best battery, low wakelocks, minimum bloatware and excellent performance… a rom that just works!
After flashing tons of ROMs on our beloved S2 I was a bit tired and wanted to focus on what's most important BATTERY LIFE. Of course I needed a working rom, fast and efficient but not necessarily with the latest version of android and with as less bloatware as possible. So I decided to make my own ROM.
As I am not a developer I limited myself to a throughout modding, (with the approval of its creator) of the best rom in my opinion DISASTER.
I am really satisfied with the result so I decided to share it with the community! Try it by yourself and tell me what you think, please keep in mind I am not a developer.
Software information:
- Samsung stock based
- Compatible with every GSII device (9100 / 9100P)
- Android JB 4.1.2
- Kernel Apolo 4.13 Extreme V2 by Pedestre (link)
- Modem XXMS2
- Flash time: 2 min.
- First boot: 5 minutes

Known bugs:
If the ROM does not boot on your device just flash another kernel (based on one bug report)
Install notes:
1- Enter recovery mode (long press power + Home + volume down keys)
2- Wipe data factory reset
3- Wipe dalvik cache
4- Flash kernel wipe script by hawkerpaul (link)*
5- Flash DISASTER lite rom
6- Reboot recovery and redo the 5 first steps*
7- Wait for the phone to boot up (takes approximately 5 minutes)
8- Let it “wake up” without touching it for 15 seconds then enter your google account information and reboot system*
9- Download the free Disaster Rom Control app on the market (link)
10- Install you apps and start using your phone
* Those steps are recommended but not compulsory

Dear mahaseno,
Thanks for trying my ROM, this ROM is tweaked for battery life, speed and stability.
But that's right you don't have 50 battery mods to choose from, sorry about that. I respect your priorities and hope you'll be happy with Rootbox or whatever other ROM.

Yes it does work, just flash V5 ALT of this mod :

Then go to settings / more options / NFC
Enjoy NFC !
Ps: Make sure you are using the original I9100P battery (the one with "Near field communication" written on it) otherwise it won't work

Call recording : wait for your call to connect then press the "record" button. Works for me
