[Q] Galaxy TAB 10.1 3g launched on AT&T - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any idea if this is true? AT&T has released the Galaxy TAB 10.1 3g?
http://tips4tech.net/2011/07/at-t-s...d-3-1-and-3g-wi-fi-specs-features-and-review/

I don't see it on AT&T's website as an option yet...

No it's not. That article has no source links or anything. Searching it in Google and Google News has no hits at all except for it clearing through the FCC a few weeks ago. I do not know where that website got that information, but they certainly did not research it and they made a blind assumption.

[Q] Can I root and flash a 10.1 tab from South Korea?

I have a 16gb wifi tab from South Korea. Do the same rooting/flashing methods apply that are currently available to American tabs.
If no one can say, is there a way I can check so I can offer this information to others who will be purchasing the tabs over here?
Thanks!
It should be the same, root still revolves around SU and Busybox.
The only thing I would worry about is a locked bootloader, if you have to flash it with the North America one, it might not work.

Hey shanmc, on your Korean version of the TAB do you have the reader's hub with kyobo, yes24 and other Korean bookstores linked to it? I'm hoping the US version comes with those or an option for them since I'd like to purchase books from those stores.... I have the 16GB wifi US version. Enjoy your new tab!

i too would like to know this
as i will be in skorea in about 3 weeks i would like to know if it is worth while to buy a galaxy tab 10.1 with wifi (and probably UMTS as well).
is there already a known opportunity to root and flash the galaxy tab 10.1 to an european version of android or a kind of stock rom without any korean widgets or korean specific customizations?
cheerz
All wifi versions should root using this process. It is the verizon lte tabs that are buggy.
If any mods are around, I sure need some help on the LTE 4g version tablet and how to root the thing. The instructions appear to be the same across the net but, the verizon tabs go black after booting back up and trying to get into recovery??
smh

[Q] 10.1 ver2 ics voice calls, possible for 10.1v too?

Hello
This video shows the 10.1 version 2 tablet with voice call functionality
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK3WZcLS3YA
I was in Germany a couple of weeks ago and saw that the 10.1n was on sale in mediamarkt Reutlingen. The 10.1n is a thicker version of the 10.1 to combat apple's court ruling in Germany.
This new tablet 10.1 version 2, in the video, just looks like a 10.1n running ICS and touchwiz overlay. Going on this it may be possible to enable voice calling on the 10.1v in the future as I understand that the hardware is very similar in this new device, 10.1 version 2.
What do you fellow 10.1v owners think about this?
I now feel that I should have held off buying the 7.7 3g as it may be possible soon to have voice calls on the 10.1v sooner rather than later, also who knows when the 7.7 will get ics.
One thing I also noticed is that Belgium seems to be the place for getting the latest products from Samsung when they are released, Mediamarkt, Saturn & Fnac in Belgium get new stock in much faster than stores in my home country, England. I plan a trip to Belgium to pickup the Galaxy S3 phone when it is released.

[Q] Android 4.3 when?

Hi!
Bought à galaxy gear for à very good price, but i got the galaxy mega 6.3. So i can't use it yet, i ned android 4.3. I have searched around allt and i found that it was goding to be come out last month januari.... But it hasen't Do someone know when android 4.3 comes or how i can use my gear?
(Sorry for my bad english, hope you get the meaning!)
Fact is, no one knows. Except Samsung. And they won't tell.
I tried to track own this answer for the last 2 weeks. Several calls to samsung, a visit to the samsung experience guys at BestBuy, several calls to ATT, an att store visit. I invested at least 6-8 hours of my time between calls, online chats and personal store visits. Got the run around by everybody. No one is on the same page, and some just come right out and say it's not available.
I think we will get kitkat 4.4 first, and 4.3 will be moot.

Samsung skip 4.3...we will get 4.4 on march...but only for mega 6.3 9200&9205 and all us variant
The latest update for the Mega 6.3 does have Galaxy Gear support without needing 4.3.

Aside From Australia, Did Any Other Countries Miss Out on the Tab S3?

So after a long story and a dead SSD, I found myself with a substantial in-store credit and a tablet-shaped hole in my life.
Deciding to make the most of the situation, I thought I'd pounce on the shiny new Galaxy Tab S3.
But the store I had the credit with... didn't have any. Concerned, I checked with a few other retailers. Nothing. I messaged a few and asked when they would be getting them... "No idea".
What gives? Are any other countries being excluded?
I'm in Australia, and waiting patiently for a new Tab. I jumped on My Samsung Chat and asked them directly........"WHEN?". All I could get was "SOON"! They also signed me up for a notification email when they show up......
I got a "Hang out for something fun in July! " From their Australian Facebook page.
Also, GSMarena doesn't mention an Exynos version, only Snapdragon, which probably has something to do with it (I don't think we've ever had the Snapdragon version of anything).
India too

US LTE Variants (T-Mobile and Verizon)

I searched first!
I'm in the market for an LTE enabled Tab S6 but don't want to spend the money for an international one. I've found mostly T-Mobile branded ones for sale (OfferUp and CList). But, I am using Verizon for my Tab S4 and don't want to change carriers.
I tried finding the bands for the two, but have come up empty handed. I also can't find if they are sold unlocked or if I will need to go through that pain.
But, has anyone used a T-Mo Tab S6 on VzW and if so, any issues with getting it setup?
I honestly cannot recommend doing this at ALL. Samsung barely tries to push out updates for the tablet lineup and the carriers are even WORSE. I had to wait something like 4 months after Samsung pushed a Tab S4 update to have T-mobile publish it and have it actually get propagated to my tablet. I'm currently on an S6 and I can tell T-Mobile and Samsung aren't going to give a **** after the Android 10 update in April.
