Market Update? - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

I had problems on my Galaxy i5503L, (Froyo 2.2.1) It Suddenly Ate all my apps from the drawer and then I had to do a factory reset, that didnt work. so i formatted my SD card and its fixed
Now i have the old market and even restarting didnt make it come back.
And i saw a new market Update on a site. i didnt get it either...

when i upgraded, it was the old market at first, and then suddenly it changed to the new one. maybe give it some time to change

you could also get the latest market
take a look at lifehacker [Get the Latest Android Market Before the Official Update Rolls Out]
I tested and it works

BUG..............Please advise

hi guys, well to cut it short my market isnt downloading, one of the users "GHIDDA" put forward the suggestion that i have activated a bug in market (infinity downloading at 0 KB or ETERNAL DOWNLOADING) by removing gtalk130 or chat1.6,
ive checked my apps and dont have chat1.6, it was suggested that i flash my rom, i know how to flash but what i need is some pointers on the ROM required and if some of the excellent brains on here could tell me more i would be bloody grateful lol
If you have Titanium Backup installed browse to Backup/Restore tab and list here what google apps you have installed and we will take it from there.

i dont have it, i used seus to repair my firmware back to r2ba026 uk gen, i could go through the flash process to give me r2ba023 rooted, would only take me 15 mins, i think the problem is ive messed my phone right up and would be better flashing a gen uk voda and taking it to the shop to get it sorted,

i have reflashed m8, a few times, still keeps happening, i reckon its down to either the vending or the talk apps that i might have deleted using root explorer, dont know if you can restore things from system or the data folder????
Can you list the google apps that you have left installed? Do you have IM?
google apps
google apps 1.3

Download the pack and flash that firmware.
Dont use titanium backup to restore any settings..
sweet
one of the old ones going from rf16 through step 2 then 3 to give r2ba023 then step 3 to root, originally had uk gen r2ba026 unrooted, used x10 root to root installed titanium and root explorer, went OTT with the delete and browsing through allsorts of folders, deleting what i thought was useless (inc things in data and app and delvic so it might be down to a missing file or something from them perhaps.....im a effin newbie hence FNG) hard reset got what i thought was a great looking simplified phone and aaarrrggghhh market not working, which was weird as i had rooted and restored a few times as i kept making mistakes and market was working as i had to download ASTRO to install the x10root.apk, but after a last restore it just stopped working.........................hence im a DUNCE
aaaarrrggghhhhh
went through the process, 1-3 but my market still wont download, does changing google matter, i created a new one yesterday

Is the problem that you can't download apps from the market, and it just hangs on 'download starting', or something like that?
If so, just open Google talk, and wait for it to sign in (with an active internet connection), and the download(s) should start.
It's a common problem - just have a look here:
http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=57b5e3efa7477b50&hl=en
I hope that this solves the problem, as it did for me.
Good luck!
Internet
do you mean wi-fi, 3g or with browser?
what would happen
what would happen if i installed a rooted firmware and then removed all the google apps and even market, and removed all files and traces associated with them from system or data and then cleaned all my caches? just incase it has something to do with a file error/virus or bug, would seus be able to replace all missing elements in a reinstall, or to simplify can i erase nearly everything and get seus to repair?
Please read before going mad...............

market not updating after manual update?

hey guys, i recently manually updated my mytouch to 2.2 with the links that were somewhere on this site i beleive. everything works great but my market. i can download and search perfectly fine but it seems nothing is being updated. ive had 2.2 for about a week and not a single app has been updated yet? very weird. and yes i did make sure none of them were updating manually. any other ideas?
upon further research, i see my market version is still 1.82 and not the current 2.07 which might be the problem. since i manually updated to 2.2 maybe i did something wrong. was there a market fix link somewhere around here that might address this?

Market 2.2.11 force close

I can't for the life of me get the Android Market to launch using VEGAn-Tab. The setup of the ROM goes fine, but when I try to launch the app it force closes immediately - no chance to even put in my Google info.
I've tried making a backup from my phone, I've tried downloading both the APK for 2.2.11 and the zip to flash from the internet, I've tried the file included in this thread which apparently helped someone else. I also tried changing permissions on the Vending.apk file to 777 (yes, extreme), even tried another version - 2.2.6 I believe. I've tried the clear cache and uninstall update "fixes" but considering I've never been able to launch this app those aren't available options.
What can I do? It works on other ROMs but CM isn't really tablet ready and I'm not a fan at all of TnTLite.
Bump.
Spent the last couple days trying to recover from bricking my tablet so I've been ignoring this thread, but I've got it running again. I would REALLY like to run VEGAn-Tab, but without this fix I'm going to have to throw in the towel and use another ROM.

adobe flash won't update

I have Vegan-tab gingerbread 7.0RC1 pershoot bl1.2.
Flash no longer shows up on my installed apps. When i search for it, It says it is not compatible for my device, google maps does the same thing too. Does anyone else have this problem too. I just noticed it last week.

Yeah, that was the only problem I had with that ROM. It seemed to always happen for me when the tablet would hard freeze and I had to reboot. Once it boots back up, anytime I access the Market, everything was not compatible with GTab.
I never found a solution other than returning to HC. It was a good ROM and that was the only prob I had with it.
Does [BL1.2]VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition v7.1.0 solve this issue?
Yes, it is much better running Vending 3.1.3.
If you have superuser rights, use AntTek App Manager to backup flash, than delete it from system (even sys application version), the Hulufied version from ASOP Ginger posts. You might need to install, update from market, remove, and install Hulufied version to stick.
Just download it on the PC..then hook up your GTab to the PC...drag the Flash 10.3 (Yes that one will work) into the storage on the device. Then download it from there.
All the apps (And there was ALOT) that shows up Non Compatible with your device in the Market...will actually work if you do it that way.
Thank you for all the responses. I went for the upgrade option to Vegantab 7.1. I am very pleased.

[Q] 498 error on Nook tablet

WIfe's nook tablet is having major issues. Running on BN os 1.4.3. Refuses to download or update certain programs from google market. Tried dumping all data and caches, Got the thing to download market fix and other programs to fix problem...no go. The problem seems to be with Team Lava programs and Zynga programs and any programs previous installed needing updates. Can't find the dalvik folder to delete the swap file as another thjread suggested. Don't want to delete Google play as too many people have said it's unreasonably hard to get it back. One interesting thing is that her google play start screen looks like the one prior to the last update and I can't get it to update to the new screen.
HELP!! Anyone....
