[Q] internal GSM antenna - Touch Cruise Accessories

Hi everyone!
I changed my Polaris housing, unfortunately I did not buy the right one and I didn't get the wheel nor keypad.
On top of that I have realized that the black chassis did not have an antenna on it! Only now it is too late and the original antenna is in the trash together with the chassis...
I would like to know what are the connectors for the antenna on the motherboard please? I'll try to make one myself since it seems it's not possible to order the antenna separately and I don't want to buy another full housing...
Thanks!

should see this picture or you can use the HTC Polaris Service Manual that I attach below

Thank you very much, will try to do something...

It pains me to see low activity forums so dead.

[Q] Who can tell me which part it's "antenna" . I disassembly X10...

I disassembly X10 Change the covers. every thing is fine
But. Signals are weak now
I don't konw which part it's "antenna" for X10's Signals
I think maybe it's on my old covers...but i never see any part like antenna.
I don't konw .
So . who can tell me how to check the problem for Signals . Or which part it's "antenna"
Thanks
I find it...
WTF...
It's on my old covers .Very subtle
Pictures?
Cpt7, can you post a picture of the antenna on the back cover? I was going to sell my phone until i saw this. It explains why I'm seeing such a weak signal. How does the battery cover connect to the X10? is it via a small circular metal part in the lower right on the back of the phone?

[Q] S-pen not working at all after bezel replacement

Hey guys, first time poster but long time reader here. I'm having a problem with my galaxy note 2, my s-pen is not working at all, and using a different spen does not solve the problem. Here's what I did, I had to replace the bezel because i dropped it and it was badly damaged, and prior to that it was working just fine. I took the battery, sd card, sim card and the spen out and then removed and replaced the bezel as carefully as possible, I then replaced all of them and turned on the phone as normal. I did not tamper with the screen itself in any way.
Well, immediately after turning the phone on, I noticed the spen is not working at all. The only response I get from it is when I take it out of the holster and the phone makes a noise and vibrates. I am on a custom rom (alliance), and have switched to another rom just to make sure that it isn't the rom's fault.
I have no idea what to do now, I'm really hoping you guys can help me out. It is still under warranty, so should I just return it to stock and take it to verizon? For anyone with experience, if I do end up taking it to verizon, will they swap out the phone with a new one on the spot or will they send me one of their "pre-owned" devices instead? Thanks for the help.
I took the bezel off to see if anything looked out of the ordinary, and I actually found the problem! In my own stupidity, I let a connector come loose when I was swapping bezels. If you're looking at it from the back of the phone, it is in the top left corner, next to the camera, it's a gold rectangular connector, apparently it goes to the wacom digitizer. I'll see if I can find a picture of it later to post.
So bottom line, if you are having to replace the bezel like I did, make sure to check your connections before putting the screws in, because that connector is easy to knock loose.
Thanks anyway guys, I'm very sorry for wasting your time, but I hope this will help someone else in the same position.
the same problem
i have the same problem. i has replaced the screen and the s-pen do not work any more. can you post a picture showing this connector? because the screen spare part that i buy has only one connector. thanks.

[Q] Housing question.

Hello, this is my first time posting here, I currently own a White Galaxy SII Korean version with an external antenna on the upper right of the phone. And I'm planning on changing this on a black housing like the international version. I was wondering if changing to a new housing without the external antenna will it still work?
Couldn't say for certain, but that external antenna is there for a reason.....certainly the casing for my S2 (international version) doesn't have it, the antenna on my phone is built in......
From that perspective, it's unlikely to be as straight forward as you're hoping.....there may be other internal spacing differences too.....not to mention the near impossibility of removing the screen intact........
Sent from my Infected KitKat bar.....
I just converted this one (localized, I mean) and I heard that the antenna only works as a signal receptor for tv channels in Korea, so somehow it's still pretty useless. The thing that bothers me is that will it be really compatible with the international housing without the antenna on.

[Q] Ripped off contact on phone middle frame

I got an gt-s5830i with gingerbread 2.3.6 comes with the factory system. The phone get broken, so touch screen and the cover from behind where the battery is. So for couple days the back was covered with tape to avoid the dust and the sand going in on the battery, mainboard etc, dont do that is a really bad idea!!! The tape get ripped off with the handling getting part of a flex cable that looks like black patch frm outside and inside got a little copper plate. The phone works fine and i dont see where this part affects the device. Only the headphones are working strange about not aligned contact cause i donĀ“t use the original phones. Can somebody say what is this part and how can affect the device???
I found nothing on the service manual about this, if is a kind of ground circuit, or interference filter. Pictures attached.
I think that was network strip..like antena

Probably yes, but i can make phonecalls and use the wifi, even sometime i got 3G connection, maybe is enough with the tiny part that remains on the phone???.i ask cause i gonna replace the touch screen cause is really broken, and was thinking if i buy this strip and not all the middle case. I found 3 pictures to have a better idea where this strip got contact to the mainboard, to clear was for function this strip has. Follow the red arrows. Is amazing to have so quick answer, i will keep looking thanks!!!

Ask for PCB components

Hallo, i have a bit of an unconventional question
I bought cheap LG V30 with broken display glass i planned to repair.
While disassembling phone i accidently peel off and lost 3 small components from main board PCB.
I just want to ask if someone have opportunity to make macro photos from functional phone or possibly to idetify (i belive they are all resistors?), measure them, or any help.
Attaching photos of affected part.
Thanx!
still needed?
Hallo, yes.
This photo came from iFixit.
https://imgur.com/a/dobA2Xx
It's the best quality photo i can find.
Based from it, it looks like it has a contact pin, no idea if it's really that important, but you can short out the resistors that is connected to the cellular module
Edit:
Label 1 and 2 can be shorted, label 3 is not that important, and you will need to resolder a contact pin again, get from other phones that has one
What model is that?
I wanted to make photos from a V300S (korean), but the pcb looks different, sorry.
Next week I can make photos from a H930 (european), but I think it looks different too, I will see.
I can send you a motherboard that I think is a soft brick if you like....
It is a vs996.
Hi, thank you much guys!
I bought that phone as H930 - european, not chcecked what model is it exactly before disassembly. But then i noticed PCB is marked as H930DS - it makes this phone even more valuable for me... But it might be same board for single and dual SIM, so i don't know...
so, here are pictures from a european H930 Single Sim.
The parts are so small, I can`t measure the components.
I hope it helps nevertheless.
Yep, definitely a contact pin for the cellular module.
As i mentioned before you can try shorting out the two resistors so it can directly go to the contact pin

Hi Have you solve your problem yet? I had a similar question and I got help. I think in your situation it would be better to give the circuit check board. I did so and they told me where my mistakes were and made a complete diagram. One day I decided to collect a circuit for a device that would control electrical technique from a distance. This is an expensive system and I decided to do it myself, but it was very difficult and I had to ask for help from experts. Of course, can be experts on the forums, but if not, I recommend following my steps I made a diagram with several errors and everything was fixed for me. Now I know more. If someone has a similar experience, share, I'm interested
