Dear I haven't hear anyone getting above 800 using this module...if you are using higher speed (>750) I dont think your processor will live long....better stick on to a max speed of 710....... Once the bootloader is unlocked we "may" get stable overclocking with higher speed...The developers are working hard on it just wait dear....

fkin liar. thread name suggest that you want to share the method to overclock x8 to 820 MHz, when the thread is just about OC, not oc'ing to specific frequency. you can get these instructions from doixanh's thread. this one is not only useless, it's misleading.

Really? My friend has got newer X8(black one) and he can set 825Mhz. He only sets 825Mhz for HD gameloft games. Also check this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qShBkihANmU.

[Q] JIT on x10 mini

Is it posible to install JIT on x10 mini?
I've seen that it can be installed in the big X10:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9000241#post9000241
Is it posible to install it on x10 mini following the same steps? have someone tried it?
Thanks
i have installed it and i seems like its working on my mini pro
can some one post his "benchmarkPi" and/or "quadrant" score so we can compare
u20i with JIT and this is with underclocking to 480MHz standart is 600
Quadrant: 602
benchmarkPi: 7906 miliseconds
@owain94
Can you post your benchmark results without underclocking (at 600MHz)?
Do you have any stability problem with JIT? and what about battery?
I have these results without JIT:
Quadrant: 514
I'll put here my results when I install JIT
how can i use jit on my xperia mini(just mini)? thanks.

Can you please tell us how you got 620? What performance techs did you do?
ME:
JiT enabled, unmodified LauncherPro homescreen, my setCPU was set at 600MHz (min and max, performance).. Bloatware removed, autokiller set to optimum, killed apps using adv. task killer pro before running benchmark, Still, the best I got was a pathetic 585 on Quadrant and 4.477Mflops.s on Linpack ...
Can you please share for other performance junkies? Thanks!
So did you notice any perfomance boost with JIT compiler?
Work for me - X10 mini - 2.1
I've just installed, rebooted (wait, wait, wait...),
few lag on first restart, then all is ok!
Quadrant: 507-520 (before / NoJIT)
575 (after / with JIT)
I do not customize CPU freq, etc...
I think it is working.

Using Quadrant Standard, my X10 mini gets a score of 508 (just below the Desire on the graph) so it looks like you're getting about a 15% boost

JiT on Mini is really good news! No need for waiting for 2.2 any more, right
I just have two questions before I go ahead myself:
1. Do you notice the difference in speed? I mean, Quadrant numbers are good but noticeable performance is better...
2. Any regressions? Anything not working? The guy in the original thread says it doesn't work good with HTC sense, I'm just thinking there could me more stuff not really compatible...

I don't think that a kernel compiled with build-in JIT is to compare with this method
However:
1. In general, no. Mini is already fast enough on android 2.1 so the only noticable difference is on a game or a demanding app.
2.No regressions, but i noticed that when i tried to access my picture album, for the first time it had to take so much time to generate thumbnails.
I couldn't notice any performance difference apart from a slight improvement in benchmarks. No crashes so far. It also takes a while for the first start in order for dalvik to populate its cache.
From what I've read, JIT is supposed to be very good for devices with high ram - I guess highier than ours
Guys pls post a clear tutorial for jit installation i had problem of rebooting at many steps. And after installation my market is having some problems. Softwares get downloaded but dont get installed.nothing happens after download.

X8 eclair Jit enable

I just make guide to enable Jit
Requirement:
eclair Rooted
Download this http://bit.ly/JiT-toggle
first use this command at adb
adb pull /system/build.prop
you can also manually use root expolrer to copy built.prop
edit the build.prop (im using notepad)
change this:
dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m
debug.sf.hw=1
added this at the end:
dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit
save the changes..
after that extract http://bit.ly/JiT-toggle
at sdcard/JiT-toggle-0.1
and save the file
then do this steps
after that you must copy and overwrite the mod built.prop to folder
/sdcard/JiT-toggle-0.1/vmlibsv2
and the original build.prop to /sdcard/JiT-toggle-0.1/vmlibs_stock
then
1: enable JIT (in a termnial or adb shell)
cd adb
adb shell
su
cd /sdcard/JiT-toggle-0.1
sh enable_jit.sh
and your phone will reboot with JIT enable.
and if you want to disable jit effect just use this command
tribute for Zocker Tko
With jit, i can increase the value of quadrant score by 10 - 15 %
and linpack almost 3 times than normal

Hmmm a question, what is Jit refers to??
is it gonna mak X8 run faster or ??
JIT refers to Just In Time compilation. Which is basically converting VM code into native code. Yes, it will definetly make your X8 MUCH faster.

is stand for Just in time
The JIT is a software component which takes application code, analyzes it, and actively translates it into a form that runs faster, doing so while the application continues to run
sorry for my bad eng
I follow 2 this step
sh enable_jit.sh
but nothing happen, and when i reboot my x8, it's hang in SE-logo.
Can u test in more than 5 device?
Any downside ????
or other question is y se not include the jit if there is no downside)
how to enable JIT for android 1.6?
Something isn't perfect with your solution.
I had enabled the jit by your script and my phone had been slower.
I disabled it and the phone stopped at the boot screen.
A had to reflash it.
Before you publish a solution be sure that it's working well!
What firmware you get the lib-s from?
JIT is fully working thanks.

I didn't want to blame anyone. Really sorry, if I was rude.
For a compensation I give you a taskbar theme (what I'm already using)
You can change it by this way:
1. Extract the framework-res.apk from the zip to the root of your sdcard.
2. Be sure that the busybox is present on your phone!!
3. Save your framework-res:
Code:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
4. Copy the new one to the /system/framework from your sd:
Code:
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
busybox cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
I modified pulp's framework-res (from his X8.img) (2.1-RUS).
When you change it, the phone maybe freeze! You will see the new theme after a reset.
if you make something wrong, your phone will restart without any changes.
If you try it, please let me know how do you like it!
If you don't like it, you can put back the original framework-res.apk by the same way.

It is just the taskbar what I uploaded. Everything else will remain as before.
But if you haven't got the original SE Home screen app and the SE clock, I attached them.
(I prefer the mClock, because it is fully customizable. That's what you see on the screenshots. )
Jit works very good on my phone. For those who have problems and lag after enabling jit i recommend to delete the contents of your /data/dalvik-cache folder using root explorer and immediately reboot after this. Phone will boot slower first time after the deleting of the dalvik cache because it will need time to rebuild it but after this your phone will definitely work better. I got quadrant result 513 and linpack 7.4 on my X8.

Infinite Battery
Hi for all, i had seen this script here, and liked it a lot. So I decided to port it to the Moto X. I talked to TopDroid, and he gave me permission to do! So enjoy!
Features:
Code:
[B]What this script does?[/B]
When your phone is in AWAKE state:
Governor = Interactive
Max = 1728000
Min = 384000
When your phone is in SLEEP state:
Governor = OnDemand
Max = 384000
Min = 384000
So basically this script automatically changes governor,min & max freq and more
depending on your phone's state which results in saving battery to great extent.

does this trick work? i mean doesn't it freeze phone or what else? and how can i eliminated it?
To everyone asking questions, I've used for about 3 days now. Generally does not lag or freeze when screen is off. Active display still works wonderfully. Only had one freeze and that was when I had a few things running and one app stopped working, so I don't think it was because of this. I haven't noticed a whole lot better standby time (but my screen on time has gotten better so perhaps correlated) so I'd have to check to see if it actually switches governors when screen is off for me
I also changed it a bit because I use faux's kernel and changed it to intelliactive instead of interactive
Big thanks for the script!

Does it matter if I'm on stock 4.4.2 or 4.4.3?

Give it a try and find out. I haven't ran it long enough on the same ROM to make an honest assessment. Can't hurt to give it a whirl. You can always delete the script.

Frequency decrease to save power

Recovery:
Download and install using recovery:
Fix-frec.zip (1.7 KB)
Original files (download one for your ROM and install using recovery): s152 (8.6 KB), s272 (9.4 KB)
Batch:
Download: Fix-frec-bat.zip (994.5 KB)
Unzip
Connect USB cable
Run Fix-frec.bat
Keep bak folder, it contains original files for restore.
Restore:
Copy init.qcom.post_boot.sh from bak folder and put it near Restore-frec.bat file from the archive above
Plug in USB cable
Run Restore-frec.bat
Well, what the idea of using this ?
Having root you can easily change: governor, i/o scheduler or frequency with an app. Like Rom Toolbox.
Maybe I am missing something ?

This CPU has 2 clasters (4+4 cpu) with different configs. ROM Toolbox can change onlu first.

Are you sure can get core 4-7 frequency lower than 800? Are you sure you that core 1-3 turned off on idle?
Just look at current CPU status using: CPUZ
I can get all cores as low as 200 mgh, and I am also sure they go offline while the phone sleeps

Ok, you win, 3c Toolbox seems to be smarter then i thought :good:
But it is still extra app with extra CPU time and RAM usage. And init.qcom.post_boot.sh is native and the most not resource-intensive way to configure frecs.
Nice discussion and opportunity to learn something new.
Thank guys.

I think it's boot dependent on stock rom
Hi Mob. Glad I ran across your thread. I flashed your fix-freq zip and it's great frequency btw. However, it's not being persistent.
I am using Firelord's CM14 build btw. I was on S288>CM13 prior to CM 14. I'm having problems with max frequency. It wouldn't let me stick to 1.3ghz. It reverts to its stock governor (performance: cores 2 and 3 are offline, little cores 4, 5, 6,7 are set to 1.1ghz) I just found about this when I checked my cpu overlays because of stuttering and intermittent freezes.
I just need your fix-freq to hold on boot and normal usage. I can't do stuffs with a 960mhz max freq. Lol. Any help on how to achieve this is highly appreciated. See attachrd files for reference. My post also on CM14 thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/vibe-p1/development/rom-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3536834/page5
Note sure what else needs to be changed in order for the frequency to hold. Pretty sure this wasn't the case when I was on S272 and 288.
Attached is your init.qcom after flashing it through twrp. I feel that there's something overiding your qcom setup. Not sure what it is as I just want to have a stock scaling frequency on CM14.

There's also an early boot file in >root
