Guys i was wondering, without Root we cannot install any APK of MIUI?
The are not any workaround to install a MIUI Music, MIUI Gallery, etc?
Becuase I installed this MIUI Camera from the HeroC obviously it doesn't have flash and it is old, can we use something like that to port the new ones?

MIUI is like Sense; a lot of the applications it comes with are heavily dependent on its proprietary framework. However, some apps have been modified to work in other ROMs (like you said, the camera is one). I know there are also several different versions of the MIUI Music player floating around too.

i installed it, works good
here is a more updated version that is themed black, has search and playlist functions, it's not signed so you will have to push into system or use root explorer

No, I didn't do any of the work and I can't remember where I got it or I would give them credit. I had it on my SD card from my OG EVO and gave it a try on my 3D and it worked.

Aside from the lyrics, what is so much better than our sense 3.0 music player????

I noticed that the HTC sense gallery does not have Picassa integration like the stock gallery does. I got the stock Froyo Gallery3D.apk and installed it and it works fine so I decided to attach here for everyone!
Just download put on sd card, click with astro or the like, choose install with package installer, enjoy Picassa goodness.

As far as I can tell the version in the market is not the official one. It is the gallery from eclair.
I don't know if it really matters or not. I suppose you could pull the apk from any 2.2 rom and it would work fine.

Its a vast improvement over the stock MT4G gallery.
You can also get it from the Market. Just type in Gallery 3D.

works great... yeah this feature suxed balls on the 1st gen mytouch 3g... I remember CM including it on one of his update and a few days later he updated his rom again with taking it off cuz it wan't stable... But man does this work great on the MT4G

I just set the 3D gallery to default and I used LP to hide the icon for the other gallery. So its still there but you wouldn't know it.

Pull down the iced glacier ROM posted in the development section. You can get the stock one out of there.

If you are interested, to solve this issue, you can simply replace the MMS app you have with the one from AOSP Android 2.2. You can find it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846113
I changed it to the new one, and it integrates flawlessly with the 3D Gallery as well as everything else on the phone. And, I happen to like it better than the MMS app that came with the ROM.
And then you can actually delete the stock gallery app, and there won't be any adverse effects (for me at least, individual results may vary).

Good find then, thanks for it. I wasn't sure if you posted it because you can't stand the gallery app (like me) or as a fix for this issue. Either way, now people have a link from this thread to fix the issue in case they run into it.
Just wanted to say thank you for this =)
btw, I installed it (it works nicely on the mytouch4g) but I am not sure I want to delete the original gallery (just in case; also cause I haven't set up a nandroid backup simply cause I'm not sure how to) so I just 'freeze'd it with Titanium Backup Pro...that shouldn't mess up anything right? Just curious. Thanks again!
Where is the panoramic and burst mode shooting options. Where is thr scenes option under settings. Wasnt that suppose to be included with thr sense 3.0 camera app? It is included on the sensation. Anyone have an apk?

IF you're speaking about the Sony Camera, it will not replace the HTC Camera, you will have both APP.

I believe the Camera APP your referring to is the one from the MyTouch Slide 4G (AKA Double Shot). I ran the app on my EVO 4G and it was awesome. I can't wait for root to he found so that I can use it again. I will try the Sony APK and see how that is.

For the ones that have the apk but aren't able to install: manually place it in data/app (with root explorer), change permissions to rw-r--r-- and owner and group both to 1000 system just like the other ones there...

It's updated and said to be available for ALL android 2.1+ phones with touchscreen controls. Look at the trailer on the youtube channel TeamMojang.

The keyboard in Cm7.1 is so hard to use i have to tap several times to use the space-button...

so there is no where to port it...
i've try to port it, everything seems fine until selecting input method as international keyboard its FC.
only se stock rom are able to use it, since it need the se own lib...
but im sure sooner or later, some one gona port it to cm7.1 with se stock app...
I tried add the lib files and frameworks still it force closes it.

For some reason, ViperRez doesn't like the flash player installed as a system APK. You'll need to install to /data/app to get functioning flash on this ROM

Thanks for this. I tried moving it manually, and couldn't get it to work- Adobe would force close. However, I was able to move it successfully using Titanium Backup (Pro), and selecting "Convert to user app", and that worked- I have Flash back.
