The default LG keyboard has both keypad and qwerty options, both with T9.

I tried now on my LG P500 running Andy's ROM and am facing the same issue. But it is not a problem for me as I use the Android keyboard always.
I can suggest you one thing but do it at your own risk. If you've the android keyboard also installed, uninstall it completely using Titanium bakcup and try adding words to the LG keyboard.

[Q] Best Keyboard in the Market?

Someone help me out here. I'm tired of the stock Samsung Keypad. The keys in the QWERTY keyboard are too tiny for my fingers, and 3x4 is fine, but not that great
Which one do you think is the best?
Personally I use the gingerbread keyboard from the market.
The keys are a bit bigger, and it's text prediction is amazing. And you can tap on any word you've typed and make corrections, even if it wasn't the last word typed. If you know what I mean.
I agree ^^ I love tthe gingerbread keyboard

Try SwiftKey x beta! It's great!
@ barqers & ezsoulja :
Thanks but I've already tried out the Gingerbread keyboard. But it doesn't have a 3x4 keypad. So its hard to text while you are at the breakfast table!
@ Humpie :
I'll check out SwiftKey X now! Thanks
Smart kayboard pro using it since I've SG3
Try "Touchpal" (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cootek.smartinput ).
Its the best and fastest 3x4 i've ever had. The keys are large enough, "Slide down" numbers are just awesome
hi
try big button keyboard its nice and big and easy to use free and paid version available in the Market
im using it for quite some time very confy for my big fingers
@ 2happy2beu : Woah! I really like Touchpal. Its got both 3x4 and Qwerty. And its so easy to change the case and input numbers. Thanks!
@ haree : I just saw the screenshots of "Big Button Keyboard". Looks like it'll need a long time getting used to. But thanks anyway. Appreciate the help
Check out "MultiLing Keyboard".

Now I'm completely confused! Every one seems the better than the other!
I recommend Gingerbeard Keyboard 2.3+ (paid version). It is the best I've ever had, I can't live without it. Paid version has a little bit more useful functions than stock Gingerbeard Keyboard. Also these are themes and customizable buttons (size).

Unfortunately.. It doesn't have 3x4, even paid version.. I think it's the only one drawback..

True!
Best keyboard ever.
Great options like plugins and dictionaries.
In setting you can select a lot of things like:
keyboard themes
input languages
::wider keys::
::keyboard size::
and much more, so give it a try.

Yeah. I like this one!
If you use english or any ''popular'' language get swype beta, it's just awesome when you get used to it and it doest require much precision with your fingers so its easy to use, with other languages i find the gingerbread keyboard to be the best
SWYPE is Best........... nobody can overtake this

[Q] Changing the Default Keyboard

Has anyone tried to change their default keyboard? I downloaded the ICS keyboard that I saw on Reddit and it installed correctly. I went to the keyboard settings and checked the box for ICS keyboard, but they keyboard never changed.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Also, the ICS keyboard is the only custom keyboard that I have tried.
did you remember to change the input method by long pressing the text field?
This worked. Thanks!
i advise people to try swift key.... just started using it after being a long time user of Android keyboard but i make like ZERO mistakes on swiftkey and it has themes
Can you post the ics keyboard? I'd like to try it.

yeah, but the themes for swiftkey that come with it are ugly... Are there other themes, just want a dark theme, like black with white letters.

[REQ] Greek keyboard

I am using MiniCM9 by nAa, and the smart keyboard is great because it has greek dictionary, but it is quite slow and unresponsive at the bottom.Buttons like space bar or settings or punctuation are very unresponsive and need 2 or 3 efforts to work.
I was wondering, since the only rom I used that had Greek dictionary was GingerJHv5, if someone can port it or tell me where to find it on GingerJH, because when I search this rom I don't find a textinput.apk file or anything similar.
ps.I have tried Go Keyboard, it lags, as most other keyboards on Google Play, or they don't have the Greek dictionary.
Every good ROM has Greek dictionary, you only need to add it in the keyboards settings, you can go there either by Settings>Language & Keyboard or by holding a key while keyboard is on(that key is usually right or left of the spacebar).
As of keyboard app, it is usually called LatinIME.apk, can't attach it cause I'm on phone.
I hope that I answered your questions. Sorry if I didn't.
Cheers

I didn't mean the greek keys, of course every rom has it.I meant the dictionary, the word prediction and correction, and no, not many roms have it.I only found that GingerJH had it.Anyway, I will try and install the LatinIME apk from GingerJH...
Oh, I understand. I am sure MiniCM7 and PrimeHD have Greek dictionary. And probably every ROM based on MiniCM7 will have it.
Sent from my E15i using XDA
Also, when selecting input languages on LatinIME it shows under the language name if it's dictionary is available.

Putting LatinIME file from GingerJH didn't work...so..anything else?
Edit: okay, for some unknown reason, re-installing the LatinIME apk made keyboard responsive.

Man, read the first post.My problem is not the greek dictionary per se, it's the lack of response of the bottom buttons of the keyboard.

Touchwiz v 9.0 default keyboard

Let me just say it's a great rom! really impressed with all the work done with this version. My problem however is with the samsung default keyboard is not working correctly such as the t9 text input and if you try and choose 3x4 keyboard it does not type but only produces numbers does anyone have any suggestions or a possible bug fix for the next release ?

Use swiftkey keyboard
Oh god I cant see why you would want to. I couldnt stand the stock keyboard. Went back to swype asap. Swiftkey is also good.
Hi, does anybody know how to create shortcuts on the G5? not sure if it's marshmallow that doesn't have this functionality or if it's LG
I'm also using swiftkey btw
Edit: I recently discovered textpand which I'm using to get around the lack of shortcuts on SwiftKey, works quite well https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
I like the keyboard on the g5. Swype is good too but for some reason I like the design and layout of the stock key board. So does anyone have an apk for it by chance?
The Blackberry keyboard is the best! You have to try it guys.
I prefer the TouchPal keyboard

Google Keyboard. I want to like SwiftKey but it just feels laggy. The menus are laggy and thr letter preview stays too long.. Everything feels slow with it. Google is perfect and LG isnt too bad too.

i would like it too, used to use g3 keyboard but as my device is based on marshmallow now i cant use g3 anymore
I would also like it.
All the replacement apps are pants. Google keyboard is by far the best of the pretenders but swyping on it is laggy.
LG keyboard is flawless and corrects perfectly when setup properly.
Could do with it for another phone, but doubt anyone will have it.

Might work? http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/blackb...y-keyboard-1-0-1-3168-4-android-apk-download/
How come there are no suggestions in Google Now search and some other in-app searches? I doubt there is something to configure user-side for that kind of permission
I would also like to install LG keyboad in my N phone (non-lg).. I like the swype cursor feature on the space bar (gboard has it, but I don't like google apps!)
please can somebody port it? thanks!
