This is a very true statement. I have this case and it is IDENTICAL to my ipad one. I wish that we could get the smart cover for the transformer like the ipad 2 has....its the only think i m jealous of!

Have you used one? If so I would think you would be a little less jealous. The magnets and bracket are flimsy so it bends and/or falls off pretty easily. Also in the completely open (bent back) position it doesnt quite fit the ipad right. Also a couple of people Ive known have had the magnetic off/on stop working, one would assume it was an alignment issue.
Its an interesting idea and I can understand they want to stick to the magnets for simplicity but its not the most durable solution.

The case is similar to many we've seen... all of them are the same in my opinion....but this also comes with a screen protector.... didn't get it myself because I got one of these cases from ebay for 1.75 and didn't like it all too much so I ordered an acase case which is on the way....hopefully someone will find this useful!

I don't recommend this
I got this last week, and the fit is pretty bad on mine. The part that covers the bezel doesn't rest flat against it. It is raised up all the way around. I haven't tried the best screen protector.
How's the durability of the case look?

I do not know of any silicone cases that can remain totally in position when the tablet is attached to the docking station HOWEVER you can just release the silicone case from the bottom of the tablet and it then fits easily into the dock BUT remember that whilst on the dock the case is bent up at the back of the tablet a little.

There's another piece for the dock. I didn't have it on, though. In fact, I just took the silicone off and put on carbon fiber skin. The silicone added probably 50 pounds to the overall weight.

Just measure very carefully and very very carefully cut out the bottom. Just use your imagination. Look at my pictures again. See how everything fits?

I think he used 2 modified skins from his link and modified both to fit the hinge and dock.

Does anyone have any opinions on this case? I have some extra money and want to buy it. I do have a Zagg screen protector on my tab already and I'm worried it might cause problems because the Gumdrop comes with a screen saver.

I have one and I love it yea it adds some thickness to it but it's more rugged. I have heard people's touch screen sensitivity decreases but mines fine. It's worth it

Buy it...it's awesome. You can remove the case's screen saver (WITHOUT CUTTING--it's a pop in framed screen protector) and use your own. Just fyi, it totally changes the feel of the tab. It goes from sexy sleek technology, to chunky heavy duty. It will feel like you could throw the transformer out the window of a moving vehicle and it would survive!

Thanks I will definitely buy it when I get more money, I just bought a 32Gb Class 10 micro SD card so I don't have enough. But if I do use my own screen protector do I lose anything on the tablet like the lining around it?

I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction for a decent case that protects better than a generic fit 10.1" case I could buy at the local Wal-Mart. I use my tablet with the dock attached 98% of the time and it travels to work and home with me everyday. I would love to have it in a good protective case that would allow the dock to remain attached but I didn't know if anything existed, or at least something I can't seam to find.

I like the Gumdrop brand myself. Not 100% hardshell, heck the bak is rubber with no exo-skelton of any kind. Does come with integrated/replaceable screen protection and it covers all openings. Check it out.
You may also want to check out Bob J Gear.
I have a gumdrop case on my Galaxy Tab. It is a good case but I would like to maintain 100% usability of my keyboard/dock

That's pretty nice, I may give that a go and see how it is. I need to find something, today I left my tablet on top of a 6 foot tall 480v transformer and it fell out of my passenger seat of my truck going down the interstate so it takes some abuse. But I use the dock for typing documents 3-7 times a day which is why it is important I can keep it attached.
I am looking for a good bumper for the phone. It's an amazing phone and I will not like to cover it all the way.
Let me know if there are any suggestions for the bumpers for this beauty

I have the Poetic bumper, basically the same thing.
Works great, fits great, all the cutouts line up.
Even fits with the Samsung wireless charging back.

I have this case and it really does not add a lot of bulk to the phone.
I would say around half the thickness of the Spen on its slimmer side, if that makes sense.
Protects the phone really well though, since it has 2 material composition.
I have dropped my phone from my face height several times (talking while holding multiple other stuff on both hands) but case looks fine besides a few surface scratches.
Thickness is about 7/16 (.4375) or 11mm.

I highly doubt they're fake. Smart Shop has almost one hundred thousand ratings and 94% of those ratings are positive. I've also read here on XDA about many people ordering the bumper when it's $0.01 and haven't seen anything about them being fake.

I got the bumper right now and first impressions are pretty positive but I was still looking for a slimmer bumper that will add even less weight or bulk to the phone. "Fake?" Poetic is just branding a generic case from the same Chinese supplier as the Bear Motion bumper ring case.

Just looked at the bumper they have on their site and it looks very similar to the Poetic and Bear Motion, doesn't seem slimmer and its 2/3 times the price. Looks good though, but not for 24 dollars.

Doesn't look all that similar to me. My main concern is that it might have a transparent shell based on that watermark logo in the pics. That would prevent me from using it with my slightly thicker official Samsung wireless charge cover battery door. The Bear Motion / Poetic case fits fine but I hate the squishy power button. They don't show any pics without a phone so I can't tell if there is a shell or not. With a shell it wouldn't technically be a bumper, but Love Mei is guilty of that error too.
