Best SDXC card > 32 GB for Thrive? - Thrive Accessories

Since the Toshiba Thrive supports the new SDXC, what cards do peeps recommend here for the tablet?

128GB Lexar (if you can find it), and 16GB Thrive. That'll give you plenty of breathing room.

[Q] Does X10 support SD XC

Does it support SD XC or just HC. I saw a 64 GB micro XC card and was wondering it would be supported.
saw it on gizmodo a couple days ago, the official answer is no, but no one even tried. according to what I know, it's the first micro SDXC crossing the 32gb line.
Look at the prices though, a 32gb card costs approximately 100$, don't expect this card anywhere below 250$, which is more or less what I bought my x10 for.
Thanks for the info. I'll probably get a 32GB SD HC but I filled up a 16GB pretty quick I wouldn't be surprised if I filled up the 32 GB fast too. I'm still on contract for 2 more years so I'll have the phone for a while and chances are prices will come down by then just curious for the future.
We'll be on mini micro SD by then!

SD-XC (extended capacity) is known as 3.0 standard.
ALL current card readers (except software-based) WILL NOT support except SD-XC supported, so don't have high hope about it.
According to SD Association http://www.sdcard.org/developers/tech/sdxc/using_sdxc/
Only SDXC device can use SDXC card card.So far there none of mobile phone can support SDXC. SDXC min 32GB max up to 2000GB(2TB)

[Q] Best SD card to upgrade?

Looking to upgrade the stock 8gb SD card to a 32GB SD Card. Anyone have suggestions as to which would be the best card? Anyone done this already?
Btw, would 64GB SD cards work? TIA.

From what I've heard and have had experience with, Sandisk is the best. Get a class 10 and you'll be golden!

My PNY 32gb class 10 has done amazing for me, very solid memory in any form ive seen
Don't buy a 64GB card, it is not supported. Max is 32GB.
i found this, SanDisk® Mobile Ultra™ Available in 4 GB, 8 GB 16 GB, and 32 GB, it said Up to 30 MB/sec read speed http://www.sandisk.com/misc/HD do you think this microsd work in our mobile phone. sorry for my english
I got a Sandisk 32GB Class 4 from Amazon. Works fine.
In my opinion, unless you are doing a lot of writing to the SD, the write speed (as reflected in the class number) is not that important.
I heard a lot of reports saying the 32gb is a problem 32gb just doesn't play well with this phone (Droid X2). The 16gb is the sweet spot I believe.
Picked up the PNY 16gb Class 10 at Amazon before Christmas for $19.99.All the playback problem's, skipping, speed have all gone this card has been flawless.
http://www.amazon.com/PNY-microSDHC...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1322229721&sr=1-1
But That's Just My Opinion. I Could Be Wrong.

I use a 32gb sd in my droid x2, not having any problems so far. it might be because im on CM7 though. In any case, i haven't noticed any difference in day to day operations with different class cards.
( removed link because of my post count )
8 months later and my PNY 32gb c10 is still going perfectly, not one issue ever.
from my X2 roaming the north
My PNY 16gb Class 10 still going strong.
Its a real bargain now @ $15.95 I Payed $19.99.

Do you take many pics and video, and do you save them directly to the sd card?
Others seem to have issue with 32gb/ class 10, like photos just disappearing
sd_shadow,
Sorry for not responding sooner life's been crazy
lately. I do take pics and video & save them to the ext
SD card. I don't have any issue's with music, video playback
or photos like I had with stock 8 gb card. I purchased this 16gb
class 10 for the same reason's you said about 32gb card.
I had heard the same about 32gb sd cards & Droid X2.
PS card price went up is a little higher today $17.05 still a
good buy.
Get a 32gb sandisk class 10. 64gb not supported by X2
Sent from your Girlfriends Droid X2 on Cyanogen 7!
All of the chips inside the cards are all made by Samsung, so its really a matter of how you treat your cards and the speed you want. For light use like music and photos, you won't notice the difference between class 6 and 10, if you often copy large video files or massive file syncs, then go for 10
Now I can't decide if I want a 16gb or 32gb. I don't want my card to lose pictures.

[Q] New line of 64gb SDCards

So I understand the current limit for the phone is 32gb, what's the cause of that limit though? An android limitation or hardware?
I'm curious as to if the new SanDisk Extreme Pro 64gb cards would work in our phones..
http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/14/sandisk-outs-extreme-pro-64gb-sdxc-mobile-ultra-microsdxc-new/
Well, if I'm reading things right then there's no hardware compatibility issues between SDHC and SDXC.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#SDHC_and_SDXC_compatibility_issues
So theoretically SDXC cards should work with our phones. But at $219 for a 64GB microSDXC card, I'd hold off for now. If nothing else, this could help drive the price of 32GB microSDHC cards down.

Does the Prime accept microSDHC Class 10

Does anyone know if the Prime can use the 16 GB microSDHC Class 10 memory cards? I just got two of them off amazon because they were like 25.00 each with excellent reviews on speed. So I got one for my prime and one for my HTC Amaze. I just dont know if the prime can utilize the speed class and the SDHC standards?
Thanks!
you can use a card adaptor to fit the Micro into a standard SD slot..

Im pretty certain it can, yours is no different then any other 16 gig microsd. The New ones are MicroSDXC, and I believe I read somewhere that the Prime does support those, which currently go up to 64 gigs.

Is there 2tb microsd cards? I was thinking those were the full size sd cards
FYI if you want a 16GB Costco has been selling the sandisk class 6 for between 16 and 24. It is as fast as most others class 10

They don't exist yet, he was referring to the fact that documentation says that this new SDXC technology could theoretically support up to 2TB of data. But we currently aren't anywhere near being able to fit it that small yet, but the format supports it.

Memory Card sale at Amazon

There's a memory card sale going on right now at Amazon, including microSD cards (no 64GB ones that I saw, but there are 32GB ones), if anyone is interested.

I copied the link with my phone, so sorry if it doesn't work right on other devices.
Sent from my badass LG Optimus G
That's a good price.
Sent from my Nocturnal'd LGOG.
I got a 64gb class 6 microsd on eBay for $32 shipped.
Was It A Real Sandisk 64 GB?
I have seen lots of complaints from people saying they purchased 64 GB micro sd cards off ebay and they broke really quick or they showed up as 32 gb cards. How does yours seem to be working with your phone? Any problems with it at all?

It seems that my LGOG came with a 16 external card.
So I need to remove this 16GB card if I want to put something larger on it?
