CM7 based roms I tried either keep rebooting or apps keep closing. Maybe I should try CM6 roms... Is the above list in order of stability (decreasing)?

You bro this dev section this is q&a were not ment to post here unless its about development but froyo bread ftw

admins can move this to the appropriate section.
well, as far i know, the cyanocomb 1.4 (#3) is working perfectly without any glitches. android 2.3 versions had some problems as well they are performing lil slow.

Froyobread is the best one out there. It is also the only one made by a real dev. All other roms are kind of copys.

This is what I meant, all roms are copys (except from stock roms) but some people want to take credits for things that arent theirs while they only styled it a bitt. (just realese a themeing apk for on top of an other rom or something than it would be cool)
With FroyoBread it is atleast known who created it.
We really dont need a dev team as Doxianh is responsible for everything usefull in our Minis!!

The best rom is most definitely 2.1.1.C.0.0.
No other custom rom can compete with it. I'm sick of all these Bull**** wannabe custom roms which are copied and pasted along different releases.
EVERY custom rom I have EVER tried for the mini pro has reboot issues amongst other serious problems.
They are ALL CRAP. After over half a year of "tweaking and fixing" these crappy roms, you are left with...even more crap.
Do yourself a favor and flash an official firmware. Slap Launcherpro on it and call it a day.

Mod please move this !

Which rom to use please? (sorry a horrible question)

I'm running Free X10 at the moment. I've been away for abotu a month and just checked the dev forum which appears to be swamped with roms and other things...
So... which is the latest, stable rom with a fully working camera and camcorder please (i.e. which rom should I be using to keep full functionality of my phone)?
Welp if you woulda asked yesterday i woulda recommened Trips MIUI but im gonna have to go with wolfbreaks ROM or Z's 2.2 if you want a smooth and complete ROM. Both are basically almost 100% stable.
There are a few 2.2 roms. I've only really used wolfbreaks and kxhawkins, both are stable, with full functionality. rdannar has a stable 2.3.3 rom(which I'm currently using as my baseband is 54 and don't want to change), very fast and stable but, as with all 2.3 roms, no camera.
I would have suggested tripnraver miui, but it seems to have gone missing

It basically depends on what type of rom you want.
2.1 roms
2.2 roms
2.3 roms
MIUI is the way to go if you like iphone like style. Currently you have few versions floating around and one of the best MIUI roms is not available anymore. These MIUI ROMS are again based on 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 versions of android. 2.3 is the lastest and greatest and is lamost fully working when it comes to MIUI. I think the one you can get from forum is rdannar's and formels and rdanner's MIUI roms
If you want the Android like roms, then there are lots of 2.1 roms are floating around. If you want to be with stock SE features along with a nice root and camera, then 2.1 rom is the way to go
2.2 roms which were intermediate (intermediate because now we have 2.3 roms) which was originally unstable but now is 100% stable thanx to all our important developers which may not (or may ) have all the SE features.Once you step to 2.2 and above roms, you will lose the SE syncml options (the one which syncs to SE site) and you will be dependent on the google sync mostly. Wolfbreaks and Rendiero's roms were extremely popular in 2.2 roms
2.3 roms which is the latest and greatest of all but not many roms to choose from. We have SuperAOSP, SuperARc and now HD MIUI from rdannar, Cyanogenmod7 from Jerpelea which are popular but you have many new chefs now so you can expect to see more ROMS
I am not biased towards any developer. I just look at the way the ROM functions and also these are my views. So dont use this as means of fighting. I personally like Android based style more than iphone style so i have tried only one or two MIUI roms so far (One was Trips MIUI and the other was formel's by rdannar (i think) were very stable and fun to use)
But personally, I like Android style a lot. So i was always juggling between Wolfbreak's and Scamble's rom before i completely shifted towards 2.3 roms.
Now i juggle between CM7 from J, SuperAOSP and SuperARC with greater affinity towards SuperAOSP since i find it very stable
Cobrato's 2.2 MIUI is awesome you should try it

I think you're talking about slade's rom, who's called "Cyanogen Froyo CM6-Latest (based on MiniCM) - v6.01", isn't it ? It's an "old" rom, and the dev is away for a long time.
I suggest you to download another rom, like the real "Froyobread" by doixanh, ported by stelios97 (Android 2.2.9 with CM7 functions) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1190037
or nobodyAtall and DaRk_dOg's MiniCM7 rom ported by paul-xxx, who is a fully functionally rom based on CyanogenMod7 (Android 2.3.5 with fully working camera 5MP, which I actually use) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116
Market doesn't FC on this roms, of course (instead of slade's rom).
Of course there's a lot of others awesome ROMS like D4rKn3sSyS's ones.
Good luck and have fun.
Yes, you're right!
It's by slade. I'll use another ROM.
Thanks!
hey.....
thaks a lot for this market app dude...it works like a charm.....
At least you can use GB from now on.

[Q] Whats the best X10 Mini Pro Rom?

Im using now MiniCM7Pro, as you can see on my signature, so... What rom do you think is the best for U20i?
- MiniCM7Pro (by paul-xxx)
- Ginger-T0n (by slade87)
- Mini CM6 (by slade87)
- Ginger-DX v007 (by D4rKn3sSyS)
- SonyBread v5 (by paul-xxx)
Remember to give all the credits to them!
I ran on Paul's rom a few days (from V4 o V6) and then I tried GingerDX v007 which runs faster in my opinion. Also it drains less battery. But it has some bugs that annoy me like when the screen goes to sleep on his own and you have to unlock it again.
minicm7pro: very stable and fast...totally bug free cam5mp
gintonic.SE: umm very good but thre are a few bugs in there
minicm6: fast and stable...but i prefer cyanocomb1.4 as a froyo rom (froyobread is also awesome)
gingerdx: very good rom. v005 is the best version i guess
Thnks for everyone who answered, im still using MiniCM7Pro and after Slade finish his GinTonic I will change
mine I use paul's minicmv6 works fine but no data connection
I am using GingerDx since this morning , it is super quick ( web pages load much faster than stock or slades cm6.0)
I use kislers modified version which fixes the wifi bug many people have been experiencing in v007.
When i installed v007 i got the same wifi problem so i tried starting fresh with Kisler's version and all is working well.
Link below
LINK
I don't know if Slade will pick up where he left off, but D4rKn3sSyS's ROM seems to be the best bet.
another vote for gingerdx. it's been the best rom i've tried so far.
*bump* any updates on roms? battery life is priority of course

[Q] Best rom???

Which one of this roms has the best camera (pics and video) and is more stable???
[ROM] GingerDX - v11
[ROM] SonyBread - Seven SP3 - GingerBread (2.3.5)
[ROM]MiniCM7 Pro - V7x - GingerBread (2.3.5)
[ROM] Froyobread | v023f(remade) | 04/08/2011 (Mini Pro)
[ROM 18-08-2011] Andread 2.2.9 Pro v9f - Andread 2.3.5 Pro v3 only 63Mb
Test
Im sorry to say, but its to your personal taste and testing of each rom. i jumped off from every rom and come to sonybread. if that doesnt stay pretty well i will jump to the next new one thats coming.
My thought for you is to try one by one and see which suits you the best.
anyone else have any other recommendations? (welcome)
Well, I'm currently using MiniCM6 + ADW Launcher Ex. It's really stable. I have also tried SonyBread but I couldn't get wifi/bluetooth/gps to work.
I'm looking forward to GingerDX

i'm currently on gdx v12 with all the tweaks and hotfixes. great rom. give it a try if you wanna try a gb rom.
vote for GDX v12!!!!
I personally use SonyBread. It is very stable and takes nice pictures, but it still needs some resizing and more RAM tweaks because RAM memory is very low... But I undestand that this is under development and paul has a broken phone, so I'll wait to continue his project, because I have very high hopes for SonyBread. For me, GingerDX wasn't very stable and UI feel didn't appeal to me. Also with GingerBread ROMS you can't have any other camera app and this is bad because we can't have timer, etc... while taking photos...
Sent from my U20i using XDA Premium App
I like GingerDX, because of it's stability, speed and Battery...
But it depends of the person taste...

The Andread V7 has the best camera that i've ever tried. The Vignette app improves a lot the stock photo quality and the LgCamera app allow the x10i to record video in 640x480
Best rom
After trying nearly all ON versions that came ended on this the Rom: GingerDX by doixanh, port by D4rKn3sSyS aka D4, edit by Eyama v13 for the stability, speed and Battery...
Thanks everybody for your responses, I'll try GingerDx and andread V7 and I'll see whichone I like.
I'll try GingerDX later once ive got rid off xrecovery
hopefully it'll be more stable than the current ROM
im using that causes constant reboots...
Not sure if all ROM's have the lock up/reboot
problem after a being used for a few months ?
If so its a pain as one likes a phone to... Work!

Hi, to avoid opening a new thread write it here.
I have a x10 mini, bought about two months, I made the root and install different applications, happens to me after about 10 days that the device starts to have problems like this:
turns on and off by itself
does not turn off once you find it
is already the second time I have and for the second (or maybe even third) time I did a hard reset will restore to factory records, honestly I'm tired a lot, so I'm thinking of installing a rom Alternatively, this may solve the definitavamente problem? someone is in my own or been in my situation?
If you would like some advice on which rom to choose, and so on which is more stable from this point of view, thank you very much.

my suggestion
try GingerDX
or
MiniCM7 Pro
then choose.
I'm on MiniCM7 and no problem so far
but then you think is better than minicm7 minicm6? I thought that 6 had greater stability because most old and then with all the bug fixes .. ginger v13 does not convince me

[SOLVED] The best "STABLE" ROMs for LG Optimus One (GB and ICS) [Constantly Updated]

[SOLVED] The best "STABLE" ROMs for LG Optimus One (GB and ICS) [Constantly Updated]
FIRST OF ALL A SWEET NOTE TO ALL MEMBERS. THIS THREAD IS NOT MEANT FOR FINDING THE BEST ROM OR WHATEVER IN XDA. BECAUSE, THE CHOICE OF ROM IS ENTIRELY DEPENDENT ON THE USER AND SO, THIS TITLE IS USELESS.
THROUGH THIS THREAD, WHAT I MEAN IS TO HELP THE NOVICE USER IN FINDING A STABLE ROM WHICH CAN BE FLASHED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS PHONE
Hi everyone. From these forums, I can find that most of the noobs are finding problems finding a good user customized ROM for our beloved LG Optimus One.
I have tested all (Yes I mean it) the ROMs from XDA, and found only a few stable ones. Hereby I will be listing those ROMs (Stable ones of Gingerbread and ICS only) with bugs if any. All the noobs will be able to find the most stable ROMs in the first few posts over here, as the posts are constantly updated.
Currently the most stable ROMs for our LG Optimus one (ACCORDING TO MY OPINION) are listed below
Guys, please feel free to point out any bugs you have found out in these roms.
If you have come across any roms offering better stability, please share that too.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gingerbread Version (old Baseband)
Guys, just after rooting your phone and installing the custom recovery, you guys can readily try these ROMs. Nothing more to do . These ROMs will make your phone fly
Noejn's void. #forever (Completely Stripped off Gingerbread ROM, Superfast, Addons available) STABLE
mik_os' CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (Android 2.3.7) (The first and the best CM7 port) STABLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gingerbread Version (New Baseband & Cyanogenmod Nightly Based)
Please note, Do not try these ROMs at any cost without updating your phone's baseband
adfad666' CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 Nightlies (Original Cyanogen 7.2 ported over to P500, Nothing stripped. So heavy for the phone)
eeee616' NightlyFourE
Having some minor bugs, but faster than Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 because of preinstalled scripts
popdog123, Oxygen ROM 2.3.2 (Usb tethering bug, 2g to 3g switching bug)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ICS Versions:
All ROMS listed in this Section are based on New baseband. Do not flash these ROMs without updating the baseband 1st
lupohirp, Cyanogenmod 9 (Android 4.0.3) Not stable so far, but very limited bugs
popdog123, Oxygen ROM 2.3.2 (Best Gingerbread ROM)..............
That's your opinion mate.
CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC0 Nightlies are the best for me.
You shouldn't write "This is the best GB ROM, this is the best ICS ROM".
Give people the best options so they can choose for themselves.
Putting old and outdated ROMs in the list, like Void Forever and Mik's CM7 is not going to help in anyway the newcomers.
Likelihood of the different roms is entirely dependent on the users. Some like cm7, some like cm9, some like oxygen. It depends on what a particular user need. A user cannot satisfy unless he has tried all the roms posted in this section.
Current Oxygen ROM has still problems reconnecting data when switching from 3G to 2G so I won't write "no bugs at all"
outdated

mik's cm7 rom is the best rom for someone who has the old baseband and doesnt want to risk bricking their phone with kdz or lgdmp
so it still is useful

Do not discount the stock ROMs...I have V20i (graciously uploaded in the forums by yuripg1 as a zip) and have ZERO complains.
I would actually recommend it to any newbie that is looking for stability and does not need too many bells and whistles (other than OC and some tweaks).

Wanna kick me out?
In the end, I value stability over features. I think a good kernel is what most people ever need.
I believe you that modded ROMs are "better" (define the notion) but if I get crashes in the middle of a call I'll reconsider using that ROM/kernel.
I'm not conservative, I just hate to wake up in the morning and see my phone has crashed (happened twice while I was testing franco#4) and I missed calls.
No one has the right to decide which ROM is the best...
U might like something i wont...
Also, such rankings and segmentations can discourage a developer...
Each developer works hard to provide us the best, its upto ourselves to decide whats best...
Hope you get my point..
Good luck!

Nice but still i don't find any significance to this thread.
Next, in mik_os's CyanogenMod 7.1.0, not just add the first stable gingerbread rom but also "The first and the best CM7 port"
You are running nightlies today because of mik_os, almost half of the P500 git is filled with mik's patches and even Adfad666's roms like A8, N2 are the continuation of Mik_os's sources
popdog123's Oxygen ROM 2.3.2 is now only for new baseband
please do the corrections accordingly
Lewa is a really good ROM. I find it stable enough for day to day use.

I thing this thread should be deleted, or changed as "stable ROMs in my opinion". Some of those ROMs still have issues, which can be consider as major ones for the people who need the features not working properly.
why you guys don't make a poll? we are really interested in finding a stable custom ROM for a daily use. for example now i use NightlyFourE and i'm pretty disappointed because that SD auto-scanning for media content doesn't work! and it's killing me inside because i cannot listen music or watch movies. i've tried to fix the problem(like rebooting, reflashing the ROM) but nothing worked. now, i have to find another ROM much stable and with less bugs. cheers!
Try Oxygen, #void forever or Bytecode's OpenOptimus.
Oxygen has a data bug, I know, but otherwise is a great ROM.
