(FIX)fix error 16 without calling sprint!!! - HTC EVO 3D

as you may know me from all those sprint questions(sorry about those), i will now give you a tut that saved me from error 16...
step one: go to sprint.com/chat and get on chat with a pro
step two: they ask you some info-its funny i kept saying i do not know for any info they asked and then they asked for billing name and gave them that-then they will say turn off phone and take out battery if they dont just say "should turn off phone and pull battery"
step three: they say make a test call to some number and should say your services are activated.
note: if they helped i would fill out survey as i did.
step four: enjoy your rooted and s-offed 3vo

You are still talking to them....they are still doing the same thing as if you call them. Just different medium

Oh it's already been told, I just posted this for some humor on the thread, so much for that, anyway the 4.3-inch screen has a special 3D qHD (960 x 540 pixels) stereoscopic display that does not require special eyewear to experience the perspectives. It's awesome

Exactly, you see my point, if she's the one to show off the phone to junkies invited or visiting, they should know the answer to these types of questions. It's not like Joe schmoe travels to Orlando from washington to ask if the phone is 4g and leaves

Dude, low blow
I used my upgrade yesterday and have voiced my disappointment to upper-level account services. I made it clear I am not considering leaving over it, but am very disappointed in Sprint for this bait-and-switch and I'm not a happy customer and ONLY chose to use it because according to them my only other option is losing it. My "issue" has been elevated and I told the last csr I spoke with that what I don't need is another csr to call me and re-explain something I already understand, and if her supervisor wishes to contact me and make an effort to turn me back into a happy customer they are welcome to do so.
Don't be offended, I know you know your stuff, this is just how I've decided to proceed.

Ok, to clarify... We've definitely found a hole. We're working to make an exploit that can take advantage of the hole. It'll take us a day or so to sift through the wreckage (as it were). By time the first attack at the hole was done, my device would only boot with /data mounted as ro and the screen wouldn't turn on. So a factory reset later, and we're sifting through the results. But this is definitely promising.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Genius options on the MyTouch series are integrated into the firmware giving them the ability to access text messages, music, search, etc. I don't think that can simply be installed it will probably need a custom firmware built from the MyTouch line.

your wrong programs on the market can have permissions set up to access things on your phone, integration into your firmware has nothing to do with it, android is and open system allows programs to access other parts of your phone...download vlingo go into car mode and turn on safe reader...heck there's even a tutorial with the app, It won't tell you who's calling it will read your texts...you can download other apps to read you who's calling...search the market. If you really wanted the genius button why didn't you just get another mytouch???

wat meen yu guys?
You guys never worked for T-Mobile so you do not know how the system works. Whenever you use a phone, the IMEI registers onto the system BUT the last digit is always incorrect. So when they gave him the IMEI, the last digit is 0 but it is supposed to be 5. The system never has the correct last digit. It's been like that for years.

My phone was stolen*, so I called T-Mobile to get a replacement, and they asked me for my IMEI, but the thing is that when I told them the IMEI, they said that every IMEI ends with an zero, but my phone ends with a 5! What can I do?

Verizon is selling your browsing history to marketers

I read somewhere that verizon is selling our browsing history. So I decided to call them up and ask to opt out. They are actually doing this. Seriously. I cussed him out until he hung up on me. I am no where close to being done. I would call up and complain about this. This is an invasion of privacy.

I don't think they could do this without a change in their privacy policy... I haven't received any notification of a change in the policy for years that I remember, however sometimes I just chuck that stuff in file 13 if I see it. If such a change came out, it would cause a huge stir in the online community, and I haven't seen any such thing.

Does Verizon use software installed on handsets to collect this information, or do they collect it externally by inspecting the traffic going across their network?
If they are installing software on our phones... well thats bad and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
If they are using equipment on their own network to inspect traffic... well, we can't do anything about that other than switch to a different service provider. It's their network afterall..
This is like CarrierIQ. That junk was everywhere and as soon as consumers found out, Verizon and a bunch of other networks got hit hard.
I don't think they would make that mistake again (I am giving them a lot of credit here).
It just makes me mad whenever they think that they can just go on our phones. Internet history is private property, and they shouldn't be snooping in it.
