Well as per my view i don't think that 2.3 version will work on our mini's ..........Becoz(I HATE TO SAY THAT) its H/W requirements are far more larger than mini.

Nonsense! we just need to be able to put custom kernels, but we can't! (bootloader is in the way) so no froyo, no gingerbread, no ports till we eliminate that SE's moral breaker... 2.3 may go a bit slower, but if an htc magic can actually use froyo, we can use 4 or 5s if they ever appear (note the exaggeration, please)

stock 2.3 would run fine on the x10 mini (less apps like flash of course). SE just can't see any benefit in providing the update. As for the Kernel, developers on the big x10 have already proven that 2.2/2.3 will operate on 2.6.29.

Sure, they work better but also newer system base can work better.
(even a 2.1 pure vanila android would work better than SE version. Remember: Less crapware = more speed)

[Q] How to port x10 mini pro roms???

hello guys i would like to ask what are the differencies between a x10 mini rom and a x10 mini pro? there are featuring the same wifi chipset, the same cpu, the same resolution... I think the two different things are the hardware keyboard which x10 mini pro has and the touchscreen!!! so i was thinking of porting slades minicm rom which is for x10 mini pro to our mini... what i should change to make it work for our mini???
Just use nobodyAtall his rom it is as good as slade his rom

Depends on ROM, but you can use some existent ramdisk, for example if you wanna port CyaNoComb (that's for mini pro) to mini, you can use MiniCM ramdisk, and will work (but of course you will lose improvements/tweaks)

So we need to extract the kernel from zip or is there a link posted in the FXP thread, sorry i havent had a look yet?

The main problem is for mini pro cause kernel is unflashable.
Hi nAa, it's been a long time since you released an update. What's up? Are you working on a new kernel (2.6.35 or something )! Can we expect a new update sometime soon?

If you want to try it flash FXP kernel first.
Still the official cyanogenmod still has issues.. for example no 5mp camera, only 640x480.

MiniCM7 is blazingly fast especially the latest release, but I think it's too early to tell that cyanogenmod is not good. In the future cyanogenmod will surely be better than MiniCM7 with full support from cyanogenmod team.
Also.. cyanogenmod has Android 2.3.7 but for now I recommend you staying with MiniCM7.. I am sure there are bugs present in CyanogenMod such as camera still 640x480.
but it's worth a try like I did

X10 Mini Pro Kernel list - 31/12/2011

Well, I saw a post of ROMS there it is in the x10 mini pro, so I decided to make one with kernels.
Zombie Panic Kernel - slade87
Very fast and stable, but not as fast as Simple Kernel, Fa Kernel or nAa Kernel. Myabe it need some improvements, anyway it was very good until now that we can use such good kernels as Fa and nAa, it's only better than Simple Kernel, because of wifi, but it isn't as stable or fast, even had some strange random reboots.
Click to collapse
Fa Kernel - farazfaraz
Very fast and stable, didn't had any random reboot and no battery problems even with 800Mh OC. It's one of the bests, for me only lose to nAa kernel and Simple Kernel, if you use any other ROM than MiniCM7 by nAa, and use wifi it's a very good choose .
Click to collapse
Simple Kernel - paul-xxx
The most fast and had some random reboots with some ROMs (know it because I was the tester as you see in paul's thanks on that thread), the unhapply part is the wifi and vibration not works . Anyway, it's very good to use if you don't need these 2 things, as it is very fast and with a good battery stability.
Click to collapse
nAa Kernel - nobodyAtall
Very new here on x10 mini pro forum (when I saw it made my day ), very fast (only losing for simple kernel), but it's only better usable with MiniCM7 by nAa. As well doesn't support higher OCs like Simple Kernel and Fa Kernel. Anyway it's the best until now, if used with MiniCM7 by nAa it will be really awesome , but if don't it's better to use Fa Kernel.
Click to collapse
D4 Kernel - D4
How can we forget this one? The 1st ever kernel for x10 mini pro, it isn't as good as the others, but anyway it's cool to remember
Click to collapse
KrSH Kernel - Kamarush
Very basic kernel, not much things... The best part is the built in CWM 5, that was awesome when it was 1st released, but now it isn't such a great thing as almost all kernels have it.

Click to collapse
If I forgot any kernel please tell me. And remember to thanks the developers for them amazing work here in X10 Mini Pro Development forum on XDA.
