I am able to use only vodafone sims in my phone ... why is that? Mine is unlocked ..
I tried 2 vodafone, 1 BSNL, 1 aircel and 1 airtel ....only with vodafore i can make calls and use data ... but with other sims I am able to use data only, and not make any calls ... what could be the problem ... is my phone locked to vodaphone?
Also I am able to send/receive text SMS and receive calls in non vodafone sims ... I am only not able to call .... please help
Did you set up the networks for the non working sims in mobile settings.

Anyway, dont think my phone is locked to vodafone because 2 different vodafone sims are working and i am able to use data in non vodafore sims .. am i right?
Please reply ... i will be leaving india and going to USA in 3 days ... and I have to use ATT sim in USA ... I hope my phone is not locked ..
Also I am able to send/receive text SMS and receive calls in non vodafone sims ... I am only not able to call .... please help
Also, how to set up a nework in settings?

My phone settings were set to only work with 2G instead of 3G/HSPDA/HSUPA some carrier networks allow their SIM cards to only work on internet/3G data enabled phones
So I 3G and it worked

Hi,
Recently my Brother-in-law brought LG Prada KU5400 from Korea.He upgraded to ICS (version v20d) in Korea. Now iam using with BSNL 3G sim. Mobile network settings are not automatically installing,hence i’ve installed Access point names Manually, by copying from another Android Phone’s access point settings..phone calling is working well and GPRS is working with only 50Kbps speed. 3G and EDGE networks are not working! all other features are working good, except 3G and EDGE! I tried several another sim cards like Airtel,Vodafone,Docomo,Idea etc..still no use.
what should i do to work 3G and EDGE networks in my Phone in India?
I request you to please suggest me what to do regarding my problem. I very much thankful if you suggest solution.

I put this sim card sim another android phone. and it has with full functionality of calling,brousing 3g,edge,gprs,wifi etc.
All functions like calling,brousing,wifi..are working normally in Prada KU5400,but the only problem is 3g and Edge networks are not working.
go to wireless and network in settings and see network preferences say Me wat is it set to

KU5400 is Korea version,maybe need to add mobile number on sim card

please tell me how to add mobile number on sim?
got given an S2 to use for work but it wont register on uk vodafone network, there is a signal, its on pay as you go sim, data works fine on 3g,
it is sim unlocked and the imei checks out unblocked. Stock 4.1.2 rom
it just wont register, cant make calls or text.
its strange that i can use the data, web email but not calls or text just, tells me not registered on network.
sim works ok on my htc one.
any ideas, thanks.

I wish to convey a problem I am experiencing using One plus 3T. I dont know if other users using Jio have experienced. In my Xiaomi note 3 I often keep mobile data of Jio off and switch on other service provider's data on and still receive voice call or send sms through Jio. I cant use internet in keeping data off. But in my 3T no such separate option of mobile data is available. If I keep Jio mobile data off, and opt for mobile data of other service provider Jio sim slot shows blank and I can't use Jio service at all . Please show me a way.

You sure u can use calls and messages if u select data on other network apart from Jio ?
Asking coz as soon u shift data to other simcard Jio will loose network as Jio is a full time 4G network and switching data will put the 4g band to the selected simcard.

just got my rog phone from amazon.com to India. i installed my jio 4g sim and i got the signal full bars and it also shows jio 4g and im able to access data BUT the serious issue is im unable to make calls or receive calls
when i make a call it just give me a BEEP sound and my callers are getting unable to reach right now message
is it my phone or international phones are not working in india?

please update your phone to latest version in system updates, you will get the VOLTE icon ..

done it. updated it 2 times and no VOLTE. have you purchased it from amazon.com?

i have already done that and restarted my mobile. i can receive sms but cant send them, i cant receive calls and i cant make any outgoing calls. But i can access 4G mobile data. so weird
my guess is US versions are blocked VOLTE by default. did you by from flipkart? can you post your build version?

by pressing *#*#4636#*#* i got the setting but its already enabled. my guess is US mobiles are blocked by asus rog
ok, the only solution for this is to move from jio to airtel for international asus rog mobiles. indian version work fine with jio
