After you switch ON the phone, it will ask for your Gmail Id. Providing it would show the market icon on your app drawer and you are ready to fly.
If you do not have internet access while switching ON the phone, you can skip the process and continue using your phone. When you get the internet access, go to Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Add an account -> Google Account. This will link your phone to the market and you're done.
Please be specific while you are asking any question. It takes many people to understand your issue and obviously takes more time.
Thanks.

the issue is that middle east version of this mobile comes with no market i did all of thet sync my email and i tried to download market apk but it keeps force close

No chance for it to have no market. If you've a proper working gmail id, then it should work. Are you sure you created the Google account successfully? Are you able to use the Gmail app?

yes i can use gmail i downloaded the market apk it force close with this error 9procee com.android.vending)

You need not download the market apk separately. It will appear automatically in the app drawer after you sign in to your Gmail account.

i signed in but it didnt appear tried a lot of things i really nees solution

Why do not you install a working custom ROM instead of the stock ****?!
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App

That is normal useless stock **** "recovery" (factory reset).
As said, root it, install custom recovery and custom ROM. CM7 (such as mik's 6.5.6) should support Arabic. Not going to test for obvious reasons.

can u give me a link to that i hae rooted my mobile already

Eh... not really hard to find?!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354

how can i flash it as i couldnt enter recovery mode my last ques i wish

well before you can start flashing roms you need a custom recovery. this is what i used: http://androidforums.com/getitnowmarketing/221388-custom-recovery-optimus-one-p500-thunderg.html
people might say use rom manager and flash cwm, but rom manager can cause problems. you can flash it later if you want

i need step by step guide for how set up this rom

still key combo power volume home format my phone

Look, why do not you just read the sticky threads?! It is all there, noone is keen on repeating the same instructions for zillion times.
If you cannot be bothered, simply install ROM Manager and flash it from there.

ok then try this instead:
Using root explorer, delete the '/data/data/com.android.vending' folder and then reboot.

The next step for me would be to do a hard reset and if that didn't work then reflash the firmware.

how reflasj the firmare? my phne get android 2.1 my old firmwar1.6 also not working market
To reflash you can use SEUS or PC Companion and use the repair option.
Or you can flash a different firmware usiung flash tool and your choice of decrypted firmware.
It seems strange that it didn't work on 1.6 either. do other things like gmail and talk work ok? and what about your browser? What firmware are you running at present - is it generic or branded? can you download anything at all from the market?

i reflash with SEUS to 2.1 ,gmail and googletalk work ok,my browser is default on x10 and have a generic firmware (buid number 2.0.a.0.504) i can not download any things in market
If the reflash with SEUS doesnt work then I would try flashing with a different firmware. Are you on nordic or global? whichever you are on try flashing your phone with the other one using flashtool.
Try to see your internet settings again. Maybe you have a wrong setting
Im having the same problem. Just keeps coming up with a force close message.

Any solutions? I flashed my ATT 1.6 X-10 to 2.1 using the non-gui flash tool (only one that would work for ATT, it seems) and I had issues with market...the screen would show "downloading" but the app would not actually download and when I would go back to market and click on "my apps" all the previously selected apps would come up still downloading...I went thru the settings and tried various things and it eventually started actually downloading but am not sure what "fixed" it for sure.
Recently I reflashed using a different version of flashtool (required laptop updates) to a newer 2.1 firmware ver but it seemed to not work quite right so I just flashed back to the generic 2.1 using non-gui flashtool and it works good again but lost many of the apps. Now, again, market shows the applications downloading but the phone doesn't actually download them...I have tried most of the things I tried before that seemed to (eventually) work but have not got it to actually download apps yet (this time).
I'll try your 2 suggestions above , then reflash and see if that works but I'd like to know a solution for sure since this has happened before and i never discovered the exact fix...just tried several things and it worked eventually.
I used this Flashtool

My problem is that the Markets UI still remains the old one. It does not have that carousel looking thing. I do not see "uninstall updates" when i click on Market
maybe u should look around for a complete clean rom that u can flash which has market in it, when u done that.... and it still aint working i would say give my tutorial a try

[Q] nandroid backup/recovery tools

Hi xperia masters
I was told a nandroid backup is the best thing to do before attempting any funky stuff with my phone. Ive had to, i think the term is flash, my phone twice alteady cause i made it "unresponsive". My question is: how do i make a nandroid backup? My goal is to change the stock boot animation to a cool custom animation i found here on XDA. Ive also done a bit of reading and saw things like rebooting in recovery mode. Im a total noob.
I have got:
SE XPERIA X10i, 2.1
Rooted with superoneclick, as z4root didnt work on latest SE upgrade
And i asume stock roms, cause i havent changed roms before
I have downloaded Rom Manager (clockworksmod) from the market,
but my phone model is not listed.
Please can anybody advise on my first coarse of action.
Im in xda developers room on palringo aswell, if tht makes comms easier
Thank you in advance
Download flash tool. Use it to install xrecovery. Nandroid is just the backup you make with recovery.

First of all, plug in your phone and enable usb debugging
Then open up the flashtool and make sure you run as administrator.
After the thing launches, press allow root perm, it would send an SU request onto your phone.
Then go onto the advance tab, you would see an option saying 'install xRecovery', press that and the flashtool would start pushing those files onto your phone.
Ok so ive downloaded flashtool_0.2.9.1 , on my pc.
I unpacked the downloaded file, opened the X10FlashTool application.
Only the first tab "flash" is in blue, all other tabs greyed out, cant click it.
Log message: 25/049/2011 11:45:36 - INFO -<- This level is successfully initialized.
In advanced all options are greyed out aswell, no action can be taken there.
What am i doing wrong????

Is there a way to fix my misstake?

Hi,
I flashed the new Build of CM9, i thought it was a normal ROM that you would flash like a another ROM, but then someone told me that i had to flash something called Gapps + fix, but since i can't access to market, or paste files to my phone i can't do so much.
I want to go back to my old rom (checkrom), but i didn't do any backup and i don't have the rom in my phone (i removed it). Please how can i solve this problem?
thanks
Never tried CM9, but if you haven't backed up and "removed" your previous ROM, you've lost all your data/settings.
Factory reset and clean install of checkrom seems to be your only option - please correct me if I'm wrong, CM9 people.
Advice - Never ever ever ever flash a new ROM without a backup - asking for trouble.
what happens when you put your phone in download mode and connect it to your pc with odin?

Please understand. When you're installing CM9, you cant access your phones memory, because you'll need a program from market, or you need to put a apk in your phone. But since i forgott to install Gapps together with this rom, now i don't have market, and i can't access my memory = This mean, i can't install my new rom.
So i need to know if there's another way to fix the mtp problem or what's called so i can put files to my phone.
thanks

I havn't tried that yet, but that should work. Do you mean i should install stock ROM from there, and then root phone again?
there is something called SDK, its for debugging and you can push apps on your phone with this!
Not sure how it works though, you should check out some guides first
You should still be able to boot into download mode and use Odin to flash a stock ROM.
Put your SGII into download mode by pressing the volume down button, the home button and the power button at once.

Answer - With difficulty becauseyou didn't do a backup
You didn't mention the mtp problem at all in your original post.
Doesn't matter which ROM you install, you should always do a backup, and I'm sure you know that..??
As said, if you don't do a backup, you're asking for problems. You didn't backup, you've got problems. Live and learn.
Lykke til.
This really is not that complicated, ..
Download the app "Android Commander" ... google it ...
Install it ...
Make sure debugging is on, on your phone ...
Run android commander , you now have a windows file manager that you can use to dump files to , or even double click to install apps to your phone ....
you cant just go back to checkrom from cm9.
you have to flash a stock rom via odin and root it again or flash prerooted via odin. then you can install new rom zips with cwm.
as far as i know you cant even use a normal backup when cyanogen is flashed. tried it on galaxy s when i started flashing, but it just doesnt work.
when going back from cyanogen you always have to flash stock with odin.

1. Flash a stock rom with Odin. 2. Start again with your flashing.
It's really basic knowlodge.

CM9 help? PLEASE!

I have been trying since yesterday evening to install the CM9 nightly build. I've read through every single post in the thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778170 ) and I still can't seem to do it. I've flashed a few ROMs in the past with no issues, but for some reason this one is not making any sense. Maybe it's a good thing because I've learned so much and had my heart drop a few times thinking my phone is ruined. My issue seems to be with my version of CWM I guess? The first step of the instructions says to: 1. Install ClockworkMod Recovery for "quincyatt".
I don't understand this. I click on the link in the thread and the CWM file is a .img file, so I don't understand how to flash it to my phone. I've downloaded ROM manager (and paid for the premium version) and flashed the newest version through there. When I do that, it completely messes up CWM and keeps giving me errors anytime I try to install any ROM. It freezes on most things I do, keeps giving cache errors, etc. It seems like there's an issue with flashing the newest version through ROM manager. So how do I get CM9 on my phone? Do I need to update CWM someway? I currently have the version in the CWM thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1584576 ) with the latest release 04-14. If someone can please give me an explanation for what I'm missing here, that would help greatly. I've been on this forum for a few years and always read and search. I actually just made my first post yesterday to help someone when I was encountering the same issue with CWM that they were and finally figured it out after hours of reading.
THANK YOU!

Try using TWRP recovery. I believe it flashes successfully.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647575
It is a zip not a. Img i just clicked it myself. Dont use the stock browser. Download dolphon browser hd. And click the link. The zip file you download is there. Flash it in cwm recovery. Easy easy stuff.
Download rom manager from the market. From within the app you can install CWM. This is what the post means.
Oops, sorry didn't read your whole post at first.
I had the same problem. What I did to fix it was purchase the touch recovery upgrade from within rom manager and that fixed my problems. If you have $2 to spare give it a shot. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I finally got it to work with TWRP. Now of course when it loads up everywhere I click I get an error saying 'Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped. Here we go again.
Do what i said in my post above. Make sure to wipe data cache and dalvik cache in CWM recovery. Or dont listen and continue to enjoy the issues. Also dont use rom manager. Its more problems then its worth. Good luck
Thank you, I appreciate your help. Well I figured out how to get that error to stop. Now just need to figure out how to get all my contacts on here that were only saved on my SIM and I'll be good to go. This was a really good learning experience. I'm really liking TWRP
Do yourself a favor and put all contacts on your Gmail account. You can enter them on a PC quickly. Just be sure to always select your Gmail account to sync.
Another option is to use Titanium Back Up and restore the contacts once moving to a new ROM.

Thanks, I synced them all to Gmail. Much faster now! Finally got it all up and running. Just a question about using the 'touch key notification lights' Does this kill the battery? It seems like it stays on until you read your text, so if you get one while asleep those lights just stay on?
