Weird. My Evo nor the 3 Photons we have has ever gotten this update. Photon is still on the old market but the one in Sprint store I looked at had the new one.

well it didn't update until i powered the phone off then when i turned it back on i went in the market to check something and bam, please acccept the service aggrement
Oddly enough, I got the new market when i first got the phone, but I did a factory restore and haven't gotten it again yet.

I was wandering if anyone having issues with their screen cutting off the weather temperature?? I live in Vegas and its 100+ out here on my lockscreen all i see is 00!!!! On my weather clock widget its the same I guess I can see the number 1 behind the clouds but the OG EVO didn't even have this issue !!! Is my phone defective or did HTC mess up on this aspect of the phone?? Is anyone else having this issue ??

Dang serious??!!! I just bought it two days ago guess ill go return it I've been with android since the hero this is my first defective device.....GGGAAAAYYYY I REALLY wanna keep the 3vo I hope I don't get another defective one

I believe its just a software defect, not a defect of the actual phone. Your phone is fine hardware wise.

Is this MoPho noticeably quicker than the Epic? I played with store demo for a bit
but still not enough time and thorough to make this judgement for myself =]

Well, I came from the Epic. I thought it was a great phone, but I really love the photon! Blur can be a little laggy going from screen to screen. Use launcher pro and it flies. Mine is unlocked, rooted, and has Alien rom on it, and it's just stupid fast and smooth. Once source is released and we have custom kernels, it will be even better. Battery life has been great for me. Some people have had problems as with any new phone, a fix is to be released soon. I however have not had any of these problems. I also have the dock which is like having another computer. All in all it comes down to personal choice. What works for one does not work for all.
ok cool thanks for the reply. The one at the store was lagging a lil from side scrolling the screens.
ALSO being very new at the phone, In 5 mins of touching the phone I figured out how to page jump by swiping up on the launcher pulls up the seven screens like pinching in does on the epic and htc. Whereas reviews claimed there was no way to bring up the screens in any way.
only thing that bothers me is the screen. i dont think I could get used to that.
there was similar effect going to epic from evo, seeing the pixels. But the Photon is way noticeable on pretty much anything. But then again its just a temporary toy
I came from a Vibrant which is the Tmo galaxy S.
(well, ok, so I had a evo 4g and a evo 3d between....but the Vibrant made those BOTH look like a POS)
I had custom kernel (overstock) and a very nice ROM on the Vibrant (don't recall which).
It was very fast, stupid fast. This Photon keeps up with it and I have had no real problems that I can really think of.
I honestly do not see the MoPhos screen as being lesser than the super AMOled....I seriously do not see any noticable difference.
I also got tired of waiting for the SGS2.
I am getting the photon today as well, actually its already at my house in a box waiting for me to get off work and play with it.

SGS"POO"! LOL...Stay with your MoPho...Samsung sucks at development for their devices IMO...Motorola has impressed the hell out of me so far...I came from the OG and it was hard for me to leave HTC. Give it time, you'll see!

Agree... that's why mine's being shipped here at Work. However, mine isn't arriving until Monday.
Although I like living in CA because of the weather, it also means I have to wait a few days more every time I order a new phone from Sprint.

Ya i had the evo 4g then the evo 3d and now the photon. I kinda miss sence but im diggin the photon. It has some bugs but its a great phone.

If you really miss Sense, check out some of the other launchers on the Market like ADW, Launcher Pro, or Go Launcher EX <- my favorite. Many of them have widgets that are very similar to HTC's Sense. If the Sense clock is the thing that does it for you, there are also tons of widgets that replicate that too.
just got a photon and i need to tether free without doc is it possible yet? im not positive im keeping it and tethering is deal breaker but i got photon free as exchange for one of my broke epics.

That is cool they give you that as replacement. What are you talking about tethering? I use the hotspot all the time on my Epic. Are you saying on the Photon you need some sort of dock?

I snagged minecraft after reading that there planning on releasing a survivor mode for it in the future. I also picked up endomondo pro not sure what the difference between pro and the free version I was using are, but I figure for .10 it can't hurt me any.

Just talked to sprint rep , she said the update for 3vo has already pushed out like a week ago , but since there was some bugs they have banned the update for now , but she also said if at&t is going to receive the update today then 3vo will get the update today or tomorrow!
P.S I'm just wondered how come there has not been even one leak for 3vo?

I can tell you why you should not believe what that rep told you. If the update was "pushed out" a week ago, SOMEONE here would have it, and it'd be available for download. On top of that, they wouldn't know anything about AT&T's release schedule, nor would they give the information in comparison to their phones. I'll just stick it out until it's released, which will probably be after I buy my next phone in June.

Sprint techs have no clue what the Hell is going on they don't know anything until the push comes out that day. Unless u got sprint tech/dev.

Funny thing is, I read one of those "best android phones out right now" and the best ones for Sprint were Epic Touch and the EVO Design. Of course some of these tech blogs talk out of their ass

Most TechBlogs are full of Apple Fan Boys. I create my own opinions. I go out and see everything myself. I'm not prejudice to phones, but I do hate Apple. When the first iPhone came out, I was like "That's a pretty badass phone..." Then I started seeing the updates come out one by one, and it was always the same thing. And I was like, This is pretty boring...
