Im flaahing roms 3 or 4 times a day...
The only objective is to have 16 hours of battery in a day with push email , and web ....

Thanks in advance for your advices...

Hey there!
Hi, maybe stupid to ask since you are flashing 3 to 4 ROM'S a day but have you tried lite'ning rom? I find the battery duration on it very surprising and with normal usage (the things you mentioned) I last for about 20-25 hours.
Good luck finding something that fits your needs!

try underclocking/volting

Just relax man. Everything will be OK if you relax for a while

I have set cpu...got a lot of freezes.

SetCPU and all those undervolting/underclocking stuffs are useless.
@OP- You just need to find what processes or apps are causing the drain, to see that download Better Battery Stats and check under 'Wakelocks'. Juice Defender, Flashing different Custom ROM's, changing kernels will do nothing but waste some energy and time of your and give you false mental peace. But it is recommended to Calibrate the battery once after you install a new ROM.
Regards.

I also have Lighting 5.0 and nipho 2.0.5 and my battery life is great!almost 2 full days with medium to high usage which is just GREAT for me ;]
-Advanced Task Killer autokill set to ON.
-Green Power Premium and Powersaver Enabled at 10%
-Autokill Memory at Startup
-Also Instaledl Root Uninstall and froze all stock applications which where not needed which HELPED ALOT,because applications running in the backround does drain battery and trust me 60% of applications running are not needed
-Also have Battery Calibration which is nice.Use it after flashing every rom ;]
-If you dont really Use 3G that much Change Network Mode to GSM only and disable Use packet data.If you do use 3G just install an app like Cambia Red make a shortcut on your screen and enable disable both Packet Data and GSM to GSM/WCDMA(Auto mode) to use 3G and then switch it back off.
This is what i do with my phone, with all this settings i am extremely happy with my battery performance ;]
Also i Agree with ithehappy install BetterBatteryStats and see which programs have high Wakelocks!! ;]
Hope it helps

I use LeoMar rom with nimpho kernel.
With medium use i can use my phone 2 days without charging. Wlan, GPS, 3G is on. My brigthness is always on 25%.

you crazy ???

Multiple flashes of roms does no good at all .

the SG2 must at least give one day of bat.

[Q] Any better rom for good battery life?

Still use official rom, battery life is sucks...
can anybody give me suggestions which rom is good for Mozart better battery life?
Thanks
Well I would suggest trying the basics first and seeing if it made a difference:
1. Turn on Battery Saver when you're low on power.
2. Change your synchronisation settings from - as items arrive to hourly or if possible 2 hrs.
3. Lessening the number of apps that display live tile info via some form of connection to the internet. For eg - Some Twitter apps do this.

I did this settings before for battery life, still not well enough to me.
Will try to flash to 8107 free rom or DFT rom, and upgrade radio to 5.71, I heard it would take a better battery life.
In my opinion this ROM is very good for you - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334076
well, i think it's not a problem of rom...you can turn off the feedback and data connect.etc...may be dft v2 rom is better, i think

Need help, new with Android and everything

Hi guys, I'm coming from an iOS iPhone 4 device to a Samsung Galaxy S2, So far I'm very satisfied by the performance of the device, the freedom of choice and let's just sum it up, Really happy about the switch.
Anyway can you guys recommend me some Battery saving tips?
What Kernels do you guys use, and that are battery life efficient, and do not sacrifice performance,
I'm running on 4.0.3 Stock ROM
I don't and will not switch from a regular Sammy rom, for certain reasons.
Thank you very much and sorry if I'm OT..
Hi, my first bit of advice is to learn how to flash roms and get your phone rooted!
I'm using a rooted, stock ROM from wanam and I've no complaints.
Once your rooted, the best app I've used for battery saving is called 'autostarts'. It allows you to control when an app starts (for example the google plus app starts after pretty much any event-like connecting a power cord for example).
Using just this app my overnight drain (11 pm to 7 am) went from 16% down to 8%.
The majority of battery monitors I've used just give you the 'feeling' you're saving battery on my experience!

Yes, Phenomenal kernel is very good :asd:
There are a lot of custom rom based on the stock samsung rom that add useful features. I reccommend this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498017

I've flashed my device with the Medium because for some reason the extreme won't boot up my device, I have a "cation" sign under my Phones name, anyway I noticed some apps appear on my device, "Superuser" and "CWM" That means my phone is rooted?
I recommend you to use the WanamLite ROMs (they are the stock ROMs with very few and essential tweaks, and root access). I'm using Fluxi kernel, but I'm using Paranoid Android, which is NOT a Sammy ROM.
Now, in order to save battery you can undervolt the processor, lock it to never go beyond certain speed (i.e 1GHz), use low brightness, disable automatic sync, use 2G, etc...
Hope I helped, and welcome to the wonderful Android world

Congrats on making the move from an OS that are you are told what you can & can't do to an OS that YOU tell what you want to do.
Always leave data network mode as deactivated unless you need it. Go into Settings>Wifi and click the menu button (soft key to the left of the home button) and click Advanced. Then under the option Wifi on during sleep select Never (or Only while charging). As a few other users stated, use auto brightness. Where you can, use the Application Manager widget on your home screen. If the number goes above 0 then you should click on it and kill the app (and clear the Ram as well for good measure. If you can, also use a static wallpaper instead of a live wallpaper, and also use black or dark colours as much as you can. Also open up your dialler and dial *#9900# and something called Sys Dump opens up. There is an option there called Disable Fast Dormancy. Press it to disable it.
I can't think of anymore at 11:35pm!
As for kernels, stock Samsung is all I use. Lots of people on XDA seem to use Cyanogenmod, CF-Root or Siyah.
Good luck and enjoy your freedom. :victory:
You can't practically do anything to save juice but installing some battery monitoring apps like Better Battery Stats, Watchdog etc. Just monitor what apps are causing Wakelocks or misbehaving, then disable the Sync in them.
And PLEASE DO NOT install any crappy apps, Play Store is full of them.
Oh, Android's biggest juice hogger is those ads, so install AdAway and remove those nonsense ads.
Good Luck.
First thing post in the correct forum. Second asking for whats better for "x" or "y" is not allowed as its relative to each person. So for that I will be locking this thread.
Cheers

Radio-usage are all the stuff when the handset transmits something or recieve something
- Cell-tower-communication 2G/3G/Data (sometimes with bad connection, or too few cell-towers, 3G uses more battery because it keeps trying to find a new and better cell-tower)
- WIFI
- Bluetooth
- And also FM-radio (Radio-apk) (try to play mp3-music for as long as it can, and then try the same with FM-radio - my guess is, that it uses more battery to listen to FM-radio)
just to notice
i have been in the Philippines now since 2nd May, and only charging 1 time.
I know they have got 3G because it's possible to have unlimited internet on the handset for a monthly fixed price, but I have not updated connection settings. I think I am only using 2G.
also every day I use some wifi arond the mansion.
some should try to find a way so 3G does not use that much power. I know it has something to do with 3G constantly trying to find a better cell-tower.
EDIT: using local provider Globe SIM-card
thanks for the useful information

Probably some kind of wake lock. Use betterbattery stats or wakelock detector and see if any of your apps are keeping your phone from idling.
@rahulbrand
If your phone heats after booting that means that u have a lot of multimedia files to scan. Process named like android_proces_media will keep your CPU in maximum frequency until he scans all of the multimedia.
And one more questions.
Which rom are u using ?
And i saw internet speed icon on your statusbar. I now which app are u using (Internetspeed.apk). Please uninstall it for now. It definitly wakes up system very often.

Battery Life Guide

how improve battery life on your Note 8 but i want present my guide how get more battery life
This guide i recommend to use with rooted device.
1. Use custom rom i recommend hades rom & deluxerom but in my case most recommended is Deluxe rom because have own kernel which greatly improve battery life.
2. Use custom kernel. As i say before Deluxe kernel or Phantom kernel both is very good and stable.
3.All Pie roms have Night Mode use it because black color devices improve battery a little.
4.If you rooted first what you need to do is remove bloatware and uninstall all apps which you not need.
5.If you rooted and use Magisk root i really recommend you us this two modules FDE.AI & NFS INJECTOR
6.Do not use any App Killee all thats apps run in background and eat battery and ram
7.Only one app i really recommend and i use it from the first day when its released its not FREE app but its worth every money and this is SDMaid PRO you can find it on Google Play Store
8.If you want test an custom rom test it Deluxe ROM its include chines smart manager which have more functions than default smart manager.
9.Now about apps almost all apps i means newest version include dark mode use it like Google Chrome, Viber, WhatsUp, Telegram and others
10.About Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram all thats app eat battery i know i use all this apps few years and now i remove all. But i not say you need remove Facebook just use and LITE version or find here on XDA modded with integrated messenger and with dark mode. Almost 50% eat social apps
11.Disable NFC, Bluetooth, 3G, LTE or WIFI when you not need and one of the important thing is synchronization this **** run 24/7 and just for reason you have all notifications in real time i disable it on all my devices.
12.Games almost everyone like play an game on phone like PUBG or other just care your phone not be hot on some internet shops you can get joystick with integrated fan for cooling down your phone.
13. Display settings in my case i have brightness on 45% all time but never on 100% or more than 60% .....In resolution i recommend you set on HD+ and not FHD+ its same **** i almost not see any difference
14.Developer settings if you not know what is it you have a lot tutorials how enable it. Here in dev options i recommend you set all animations to 0x and app restriction to 4
I update my guide soon with new tips for improve battery life without lose on battery

There are only a few rules to save your battery
Don't have ****ty apps which suck juice
Use auto brightness, never go full sun
I am using standard oneui pie with stock kernel and I get 9+ hours Screen on time
No need for custom stuff
In short u mean use Nokia 3310...
N FYI regarding point 5,u can't use both module together they will conflict with each other.

About point 5. I not say you need enable or use both modules.
And i not say you need all this steps use to improve battery life. I just write how you can improve battery but all other is depend of user if user use all steps or just few of them.
All this steps is for battery life and little on performance so you are FREE to choose which one you want

Number 14 in your list even needs more battery.
The app restriction
If you set it to 4 your phone often needs more CPU power to reopen the apps
This needs more power than to just leave them in the background (ram needs power anyway)

Yes i agree for stock rom and kernel on custom kernel is that restriction almost invisible if you have good kernel with perfect settings like Phantom kernel
Poslano z mojega SM-N950F z uporabo Tapatalk
No, thats just not true.
This only applies to apps which are using a lot of energy in the background.
Then the OS kills(not, because it uses a lot of energy, but because of 4 apps in background restriction) this Apps, which leads to better battery life
The best way to save battery is to switch off the phone.
Couple of points are useful.. but many other points are based on the usage.
Basically what you're doing is taking the "smart" out of your smartphone. You might as well use a feature phone from 15-years ago.
No matter where I go, I have a charger with me or near me. I'm almost never in a situation where I'm scared my phone will die and I won't be able to charge it. If the battery gets low, I put it on charge. Simple.
I don't need to go an entire day with my phone on battery, if there is a charger right next to me.
Battery saving tips are pointless. Just use your phone. You paid a lot of money for it.
