Does this PRL sound right? - Motorola Photon 4G

I'm holding the Photon and it's at 51080, but my Nexus S 4G over here says its at 60680. I've done multiple PRL updates on the Photon but it stays at 51080. Is this the right PRL version?

Yes that is the current prl

Don't worry, you're fine!
I'm a Sprint Launch Ambassador supporting the Photon. That is a PRL for 'advanced worldmode devices' which Photon is one of. It has all of the same capabilities as our domestic (606.x) PRLs do plus extra for int'l roaming. You have the right PRL for your device.

Mine says 51079 after updating PRL.

Why don't you just put "I'm a Sprint Launch Ambassador supporting the Photon" as your signature, it would make more sense then starting every posting with it.

Matt, can you confirm that the Photon supports the Network Vision bands? (CDMA 800mhz)

Thanks to everyone. I wasn't aware that the "Worldphones" used another PRL numbering system. Good to know for everyone here on the forum.

Doesn't the box that it came in says so, but then again that could be a misprint. The Photon supports the following frequencies if I'm not mistaken;
Bands/Modes: WCDMA 850/1900/2100, CDMA 800/1900, GSM 850/900/1800/1900, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps (Category 10), CDMA EV-DO Release A, EDGE Class 12, GPRS Class 12, HSUPA 7.6 Mbps, eCompass/sGPS /aGPS, 802.11b/802.11g/802.11n, 802.16e. Although I can't confirm 802.11n

Cororate PRL for EVO 3D

Believe it or not the 11115 is not the business PRL for the EVO 3D. This is for the 1900 mhz devices only. EVO 3D and a few other devices have special PRL's with the codes 20XXX. Recently it was 20183 or something like that. There is a reason why the EVO 3D has a different PRL than all the older Sprint devices, and it's because it has been updated to include 800 and 1900 mhz towers.
The business PRL is slightly different, it is 21XXX. EVO 3D's do not get the 11115, instead they get the 21XXX for corporate. Does anyone have this PRL and be willing to share it? I want to do some testing on the Epic 4G Touch.
Thanks!

Excellent find. Unfortunately it's the 21081 and not 21083, but it'll do for now. If you do find a way to get the 21083 from your phone let me know! Thanks
Well now that I'm looking into it more it seems like 21083 is the default for EVO 3D. I guess I need to go check what is the corporate PRL on the EVO 3D is again. I know for a fact it isn't 11115 though.
11115 might not be the official one for the 3d but it works just the same as it did on the EVO 4g. It gets me 3g roaming when I force roam when needed. I have a corporate acct and got 11115 on the EVO but I never got anything other than the 2 prls you listed.

21083 IS NOT a corporate prl. it is latest prl regular users get when doing a prl update. you want proof of this, find a friend with a 3d and have him update the prl for you. it was either stay 21083 or change to it depending on the area but most everyone will.

Evo LTE PRL (24003)

For kicks, I used the stock PRL for the EVO LTE (24003) on to my Photon. Wow my data flies with it hovering around 1600kbps - 2300kbps down and 500kbps up. I attached the PRL file below with some screen shots. the first on is my status screen showing the PRL version. The second is my Sprint 3g speed. The last is my roaming. Feel free to try it at your own discretion and I'm not responsible if anything good or bad happens to your device.
Here are instructions to manually update your PRL. You'll need to be on a blur based rom and have your phone's MSL.

Nothing really special about this PRL. It just has the typical 800mhz scans for Chicago. Nothing else real special.

Its called QoS...I was expected something like this...wimax was never the issue ...it was the overall sprint bandwidth ...so now with lte coming how do hide that lte vs wimax was never the issue...it was the network behind it?...you set a network QoS to give most of the bandwidth to the lte devices and shortchange the non lte...even if you not using lte...the network will put the new stars of sprint lineup to the head of the line to make the look faster....wonder why you see all the reports of ever slower g3 on sprint for the other phones?...you just lower in the qos pecking order..you get what left of the bandwidth...you flying standby..the new first class phone fly first class on the backside of the network even if the local phone link to the network is just 3g

PRL 11115 back to LTE

If I update my PRL to Sprint's 11115 PRL (using this method), I assume that I will lose LTE access (which I don't have anyway).
Under that assumption, if I want to regain LTE, all I would have to do it update the PRL over the air (back to 25004), correct?
I go on trips to Atlanta sometimes and would like LTE when I go, but 3G roaming sounds too good to pass up.

Installed the new radio only on my Verizon Max. Can't say it is particularly faster ( based on speed tests). It keeps starting at 60 Mbps for upload then hangs and drops to about 5 Mbps final. Maybe its my firewall or any other number of protective mods I have going on my Max.

I have gotten 4g LTE with this method I guess...I never did get the one value with the "sku id" (never could find it) so I downloaded an app from the play store called Network and just changed it, I would get LTE for about an hour then it would just crap out so I just use 3G and HSPA with the 1900 band.
I would be interested in knowing how to enable this. big red just turned on the 4g in my area with in the last year. so i am curious if they used a newer style tower capable of the band 4 or not,
