MoKo(TM) Folding Cover case - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

HI folks,
Hope you are keeping well!
By any chance, has anyone purchased this cover already?
If so, what are your thoughts about the cover? Good stand? Good Quality?
Thanks in advance for answers
Regards,
Mingo

As a matter of fact I purchased this case a week ago and so far I am very happy with it. Some reviews said the camera holes were not aligned but mine fits perfect. The material is of good quality and the stand is very sturdy. The major con is that the magnetic latch seem to interfere with the built in compass of the TF, as such you will see a pop up on the screen from time to time of you are using an app that needs the compass, other than that, this case is a good buy.

Hey Whips!
Thanks for the answer. I'm planning to purchase this case tomorrow with the Eeepad as well.
I do not see the compass issue as a deal breaker...not planning to use that very often. Going to get it based on your review!
Thanks again!

I have the brown version - it's a rusty color that goes with the gold accents on the Transformer very nicely. I'm borobably going to pick up the black version as well for a backup.

Nook Tablet Folio style case

Just got this case from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005MZ35NM/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_us?ie=UTF8
Amazingly the only folio I've been able to find. I have the same style case for my iPad and I must set this is the way to go. Though I can see the desire for a portrait mode . The hand strap is a great touch for that.

Wow nice find.
Not sure if it's the same kind of case, but I just found
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/M-Edge+...218402861274&skuId=3441552&st=nook&cp=1&lp=15
while I was looking for a case of my own. Since the Amazon one is out of stock, it seems like an alternative.

It looks great and the size is perfect - compact and slim. How does it feel in hands - solid? Does it block the mic hole at the top?

Looking at the pics, it looks like the NT would snap into it at the four corners rather than any edges. The NT's mic is a small hole at the top of the device, offset from the center. I doubt this case would block it.
[Edit]
Sorry, I should check the reply more closely before posting. I was looking at the one from Best Buy.
This is the one I picked up. It's pretty nice, a couple of different angles to stand the NT up, and it surrounds the whole thing, so it's pretty secure.
edit: I'm not allowed to post links yet, but search on amazon for crazy on digital's folio case for the Nook Color
This may seem like a dumb question, but can you stand it up in portrait mode with this case?
@DssTrainer Has it came in yet? What do you think of it?

Im also interested what you think of it. I was thinking about buying the official barns and noble leather writers case but this onle looks decent for the price.

I had this one for the nook color, and I loved it.
Well i just bought one from amazon. It will be hear Wednesday. I will Take pictures, and write a in-depth review on it by next Friday. I will probably be buying a couple cases, and writing reviews to help people make their decision. Im starting with this one because it has the holes for speaker in it. Which is an important feature.

ordered this before I even saw your post.
Got it, hate it. No way to really fold the cover back and use it in portrait mode. Cover doesn't close flush with the nook.
Really nice quality leather.
If you case closes flush with the nook then I might be wiling to get a replacement and see if this one is defective but I don't think the magnets are strong enough/the groves to hold it in portrait prevent it from closing flush.
Just got the Speck Fitfolio in black. It fits very well and does not make it feel bulky at all. They have also extended the "vegan leather" on the back over the hard shell making it look far nicer.
Ok I purchased this case. Like the feel of it and its not too bulky. BUT, whatever chemicle they used to coat the leather absorbed into the bezel of my nooks rubber paint coating and caused a brown spotted discoloring.... I tried to clean it with alcohol and other cleaning products but its absorbed in the coating ... im pretty pissed to be honest. I just orders a skinomi woodgrain skin to cover the damage up, and plan on taking pictures and contacting the case manufactor to have them buy me a new nook! WARNING TO ALL!
I purchased this case
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005MZ35NM/..._am_us?ie=UTF8
I've had it for about 3 weeks but haven't used it due to a very
strong chemical smell. The smell transferred to my hands after unpacking the case.
I've been waiting for the smell to go away before using it but after reading posts regarding damage the Nook finish I may never use it.
At the time I purchased my Nook I also picked up a B&N case that was discounted 30%. It's much better quality, I really like clips that hold it in place. Very quick and easy to pop the Nook in and out. The B&N case was approximately $10 higher cost but I feel it's higher quality case and worth the cost difference.

Poetic Case for TF201

Hey guys, just wanted to post my video review of this case. It really is a great case an I have been using it with my TP whenever I don't have it docked. I am looking forward to the release of their Portfolio case, which is essentially the same as this one except it holds the keyboard dock as well.
I included a coupon code for Amazon, it should make this case about $10. Enjoy!
Coupon: TF201PRO
Cool

Thanks bud.. Just ordered, code worked for me!
I also really like the Poetic Case. Doesn't add a lot of bulk, yet provides good protection. I like that it does not cover the bezel, unlike other leather cases such as the Caseen. My only critique is that the grooves in which the Prime rests in at 3 angled positions could be a bit deeper, as sometimes the Prime will slip out of the groove, particularly the first narrower angle groove. Other than that, great case for the price!
May I have the a coupon code? Want to order one for my Prime. Many thanks.

Great case. I bought it for utility as a stand/cover but I dropped it on the pavement one day trying to carry too many groceries.
Not a scratch.
Thanks for the review and the coupon. I have one coming my way for $9.95!
I bought mine last night. Its my first case for my prime. I'm still saving for my dock. It was eligible for amazon prime so It will be in today hopefully. Your code didn't work for me though. Still looked like a great case from your video.
Thanks

I recently purchased one for my Prime and really love it. For the price, it is hard to beat.
Anyone have a quick fix for how to get it to sit in the slots more stable? They aren't deep enough to hold the prime in place sometimes.

I actually had to go look, but you are correct, there are no holes for the speaker...
Kind of a bummer, heh I didn't even notice though.
It's plenty loud without the holes.. I was just watching a TV show and my wife told me to turn it down.
Great case, especially with the coupon code.. Very happy with it.
I wonder why mine has holes and yours does not? That is strange.

Mine does not have holes either.
You got the case with the white stitching (as opposed to black stitching) around the outside edges, right? I know they sold 2-3 versions of the case that are very similar to each other, but not the exact same.
My case has black stitching, or very dark, if you will.
For the money, this really is a good case. I've been very happy with it so far. I only bought till better cases came out ,but now I like it so much I haven't even bothered to look for something different.

Nice Prime and Dock Case (Carbon Fiber Look)

After searching for a while for a prime/dock case I decided to go with the HandHeldItems Carbon Fiber case and I think its a pretty good choice. The build quality is very nice, material looks pretty awesome, and it fits the prime nicely without stressing the hinge when closing it.
Here is what I ordered:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007CAZNP8/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
and since their pictures don't seem like enough here is a quick video that I made now that I got it:
http://youtu.be/pd7ZtxITyqA
wow looks good
got the same
I ordered the same one, but in orange. I like the color and it was $6 less (I guess I am cheap). I was afraid for $18 that it would be cheap. It is better quality than I expected. Works well both with and without the dock. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it is heavy when you have the tablet, dock and case all together.
Same as MiniSuit
From the video this is identical to the MiniSuit case for the Prime/Dock, except the MiniSuit is an attractive smooth leather cover in brown or black. MiniSuit is an outstanding vendor. My original order from Amazon had a misaligned camera cutout. I contacted them and they apologized and sent me a free replacement case.
I ordered this in black. Got it today. One thing that i didn't think about was the flap to close it. You cant use the back camera with this case. I'm sending it back its not very practical

Hello, I just ordered this case the other day, actually I was looking on amazon and I seen your review, went to youtube and checked out your video. I thought the case looked pretty nice, especially for the price. I should be getting it tonight or tomorrow, probably tomorrow... I hope that it fits ok, and does not look cheap. I would prefer the MiniSuit case, but I couldn't find one with Amazon Prime support, oh well. I am not too sure about the quality and the such of the case, I guess I will have to wait and see. Really, it should be fine, if it is at all like your video I am sure I will like it. Thanks again for making that vid, if it were not for that vid I definitely would not of ordered the product. Funny seeing you here though, what a small interwebs! lol
no problem on the video...glad it helped you out!! I figured since no other comments were out there for this that I would throw something together for anyone interested.
I ordered this case today based on your review. I hope it works out good!
Cool, I hope you like it. Mine's still holding together without any problems (with moderate use).

Tablet S skin.

Hi.
In thinking about buying one of the gel skins off eBay USA. I've just got the tablet and I'm finding it a bit plasticky and hollow sounding. I'm thinking that a skin might deaden the sound a bit.
Can anyone vouch for the quality of them?

Looks good and US $11.99 is not a bad price. Amazon.com has the same item labeled "by Sony" in black (ASIN: B007BXZI2O) and purple (ASIN: B007BXZYPA) for US $7.99 with free Amazon Prime Membership 2-day shipping. Non-Prime standard 3-day shipping is probably US $2.99, but I'm guessing the cost.
Hi Cat.
I'll be shipping to the UK so I need to factor in shipping. The Amazon one just looks like the same one off ebay - it doesn't look Sony branded.
For some bizarre reason I can't find them in the UK at all. Very strange.
They are both roughly the same price so I'll just choose either.
Thanks.

I ordered one from Amazon.com and will receive it tomorrow evening. After I install it on the tablet, I will post here to let you know whether or not the skin covers the IR sensor.
Edit: I received and installed the skin. Fits well. None of the tablet's features (power plug, buttons, speakers, etc.) are blocked. And yes, there is a hole for the IR sensor.
Hi Cat.
Please tell me what you think of the skin as I'm close to ordering one myself. Please tell me if its a tight fit (a must) and whether you think that it makes the tablet feel too think.
I really want one to make the tablet feel more solid in the hand. As much as I love Google and hate Apple I really miss the build quality of my old iPad 1. I also think HC is an abomination of an OS - What were Google thinking!!
Look forward to your report and pics would be nice if possible

I purchased a black skin (ASIN: B007BXZI2O) from Amazon.com, so go to their web site to see photographs. I like the skin. Its color is a perfect dark charcoal. It fits very well and tighly hugs the tablet's form. When I am handling the tablet, the skin does not feel like it is going to fall off and the back part does not feel floppy. It has a good industrial rubber feel and it makes the tablet feel more solid and protected, which is a plus for me because I am an industrial controls engineer and I frequently use my tablet in the field. The skin has openings in all the right places and does not block any of the tablet's features. I feel purchasing the skin was a wise choice.
Thanks for the update.
Looks like I will be purchasing one ASAP
I've just tried to purchase it off Amazon but they don't ship to the UK.
I'll have to purchase the one off ebay. It looks the same but you never know until you get it.
Just bought the one off ebay. Probably take about 2 weeks to get here. It was just over £11 with the exchange being as it is so can't grumble at the price.
Cheers.
Looks great, might look into something like this.

Yes, I have a cradle and no, the tablet will not fit into the cradle if the skin is on it. But the skin is easy to remove and put back on (I do it carefully, taking my time), so it is not a problem for me.
Hi all.
I got the skin in the post the other day. I'm not too impressed with it TBH. It is not the snuggest of fits - its a bit loose.
I don't think I'll use it TBH. I'm getting used the plastic nature of the Tablet S.
Cheers.

Moko Portfolio Case

Hey guys,
If anybody is looking for cases, I'm using this one.
http://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Folding-...1SCQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1337432342&sr=8-2
I like it a lot. It's very sturdy, strong build and the price is not bad at all. i would recommend it. Reviews are pretty good on it as well.. I'm not a big fan of folding cases but this one changed my mind. It's not those flimsy cheap ones they sell on ebay for $5. I had one of those for my tab 7.0 plus and it was garbage.
Ordered this same case over the weekend and am awaiting delivery. I do have the keyboard dock but see this as an excellent alternative for some situations. It's called a Transformer for a reason after all.

I concur, its a good case and since I couldn't find it in the Netherlands, I also ordered it through Amazon.
+ Very affordable
+ Sturdy
+ Proper screen protection
+ Fast delivery
+ Simple, yet stylish finish (leather-look, black)
But....
- I had to "adjust" the hole for the headphone. Originally it was placed 7 mm too low (when holding the tablet upright). But with a sharp knife, that is easily done.
- The cover is (when folded) hold in place by a small flap. I find that the friction is too low to properly keep the cover in place. So I improved it with some velcro. Now the cover stays were it is no matter how mucht I move the case around. Just make sure you place the soft side of the velcro on the cover (doesn't scratch the screen)
- It adds about half of the tablet in weight, which is no problem when its standing/laying on a surface of course. But just to let you know
-The 40 pin connector is at all times unprotected
- I am also thinkin of clearing some of the material around the on/off switch. I find it a bit too hard to reach (I am a lazy SoB, mind you )
- I will add a small loop for a stylus (not present)
I admit I am still waiting for the smart cover version like the one for the TF201. But until that moment, this one is it.
Cheers
I purchased this case and received it today. I really like it and it was a great deal. It's probably tthe best one for the money right now. Very well-made and fits perfectly. I especially like now the screen cover adjusts depending on the way you want to use the wedge stand and the magnets in said cover to keep it closed.
All-in-all, I highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a case and is not going to be using the keyboard dock.

1. No, No damage possible. I had it for a month or so and havent seen damage on screen. I wonder this to, but it doesnt touch the screen. Atleat for me it doesn't.
2. I didn't have to. I used the headphones with no problem. No carving..
3. I can send a picture of the velcro but it's pretty strong. The tablet doesn't move down or tries to walk away from the case.

I have the moko case for the tablet and its great. The reason the screen doesn't get scratched is because of 2 magnets that are sitting on each corner on the far end of the case and when the case is closed there is still about a centimeter or 2 of clearance. Great case imo

Hi,
is it easy to take out? I use the dock very often and I'm just looking for a case for surfing the internet or watching films, so I don't have to hold the tablet all the time. But cases like the slim one make it very hard / annoying to take the tablet out.
Does the magnets affect the tablet?
One of the reviews on Amazon for this case said that the magnets have some affect on the GPS. I am generally reluctant to bring electronics close to magnets. Does anyone see any issues with the magnets and GPS?
