[Help]Phone Not Allowed MM#6

Hi Guys,
My friend has asked me for some help with his x10i.
He's purchased it from a market, and it was locked to T-mobile.
Its since been network unlocked by a local store, in theory to allow use of any network sim card.
However when you boot the phone with a sim card in, it comes up on the notification bar
"Phone Not Allowed MM#6"
It will show the little signal bar full.
Checking phone status it shows
Service state - In service
Mobile Network State Disconnected.
It appears to register onto a network, be that orange o2 ect.
But we are unable to make outbound calls, receive calls.
Yet browsing via gprs is working.
I have checked the IMEI with the T mobile. They advised that the phone is clean and not barred.
I have Tried different Sim cards i know are working.
I have Flashed the Firmware back to Stock, Tried the Latest Firm and a few other different combinations.
I am now Stuck.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

[Q] Contantly notification on screen

Hello, I bought a German Xperia S in NY and it is configured for operator Telekom.
Upon arriving in Brazil, he worked with my SIM card from a local telephone operator (Oi RJ), but now appears on screen 3x in a minute a message "Oi RJ 21" and has only the button "OK" to press.
I've tried to disable the messages and select the network, but this dont avail to stop this message.
Does anyone know why this happens and what the solution to the problem?
Model: LT26i
Android: 2.3.7
Version: 6.0.A.3.67
Sounds like the branding is giving out. You should have bought sim free
Do you think i should do a "debrand" of Telekom ? And , since the phone works, it seems a sim free, instead it will not work at all, right ?
If it was simlocked you wouldn't be able to use it (at least the phone parts) with another carrier.

That happens on Tmobile(?) in the US due to band compatibility, you may not be able to connect on 3g/HSPA :|
I guess it could be the cell broadcast message from your provider. (Just a guess)
Sony fixed it with the .73 firmware.
When I got my XS with .62, I've got those cb messages, when my phone changes the antenna. But I don't know if they fixed it already with .67.

Out of service area....

I can't make any calls / send any sms with my Xperia S, after I have been to a long trip to europe (I am back in UK now).
I tried the sim in another phone and it works!
I tried factory reset, flashed the firmware again, tried update service but no hope.
However the data has always been working (I can use internet)... just can't make calls ("network problem") .....
Every time I insert the sim into XS and boot it up, the network operator name appears for one second and becomes "no service" again.
What can I do? :S
push
have you contacted your netowrk service provider? maybe they can help with connection issues?
Maybe faulty cellular part in phone, or bad baseband on phone.
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
samsung s3

How about manually searching for the network provider ??
Setting --> Wireless and networks --> Mobile Netwrks --> Service providers
