sorry boss
but i read on of your reply which is this one
"Actually is your device branded? If not you can just use the firmware with CSC as OXX like KE2 with OXXKE2 csc."
And the version i used also has XX ( i9100XXKG1 )
IS MY DEVICE FU**ED UP

No, you can still flash back the Chinese firmware to it and it will recover but you seem to miss all the posts about not attempting to flashing international firmware to Chinese devices and vice versa. You also missed the warnings of not using .pit file and repartitioning the device.
Go download a Chinese firmware and flash it to the device.

okay thanks a lot i will try to search for the chinese V...
But that mean that i am stuck with this version only...
Can you link me to the post that talking about this version...
Thanks A lot

You will need to get it from Samfirmware as I've made a decision not to upload Chinese firmware here to prevent people from flashing it to their devices.

i could not download the file from samframware, coz i do not have paid account..
anyway i manged to get the original flash file from chinese website, its TAR file, and they mentioned to flash using the KIES, but i do not know how, my phone wont connect...

[Q] Firmware upgrade encountered an issue

Hi there,
First of all, the firmware info of my GT-I9100 is as follow:
PDA:ZSKI3
PHONE: XXKI3
Date: 23/09/2011
Android 2.3.5
I am currently stuck on a firmware issue and it's in real need to be rescued. Here's the full story.
The device firmware recently just got an upgrade to ZSKI3 through KIES. However, it was pretty upsetting as the upgraded official stock ROM from Samsung still contains bugs (the upgrade aggravated the previous problem as it drains the battery rapidly, still) and thus I made a decision and took the risk, by downloading the official ROM and kernel from the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
and had an attempt revert to my previous firmware version (PDA: ZSKG2; PHONE: XXKG1) by flashing it through Odin. Unfortunately, the program stated the flash process as "failed" on the status bar. Consequently, the phone could not be booted with a message stating "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" whenever it turns on.
This is what it shows on Odin as a result of flash failure,

Such action sounds idiotic but I wasn't really aware of such issue before hand.
May I ask whether there is any firmware rescue method to resolve such problem?
Thanks in advance.
Leo
Is this classified as a brick? If this is the case how should it be fixed?
Thanks in advance.
i had the same problem but i flash it back to stock
you need to reinstall all you drives and try to reinstall Odin and try it again. i had the same problem and i fixed it by just reflashing it after a couple minutes of letting it 'cool' down

If recovery mode is working (Volume UP + Home + Power), then do a factory reset.
If that does not help, flash the stock ROM again. The whole ROM, not only the kernel.
After flashing the ROM, you may root your phone again.
I recommend to flash the corresponding CF-Root kernel from Chainfire.
How have you tried to root it?
Maybe you should use another method.
Good luck !

Hmm ...
Which version of Odin do you use?
I am using v1.85.
Try the following things separately:
Restart Odin.
Use another USB connection.
Use another USB cable.
Restart your PC.
Install phone drivers using Kies.
Check that no Kies process is running when flashing with Odin in Task Manager.
Have you done a factory reset in recovery mode?
Is the battery fully charged?
I hope that you find the reason for your problem and solve this issue.

Firstly, when you create topics use proper descriptive titles instead of idiotic ones liek you have.
Second, if you solved your problem tag the title as [SOLVED] and comment on what solution was so that others who can be bothered to use search function who have same issue may find answer.
Titling it this way and just simply saying "please close thread" and not replying on how you solved when you don't need help anymore is a completely selfish thing to do. And if you didn't get your solution its even more selfish as others may want to use/reply to this thread instead of creating unnecessary duplicate topics.

[Q] I9100G How to change ROM from Chinese ZCLC1 to French XXLB1

Hi all!
I've been looking around this for a few weeks now, and doesn't seems there are any posts on how to solve this.
My problem is that i bought my Galaxy S2 in China and ended up with a I9100G version. I tried to switch to some French ROM (from Chinese ZCLC1 to French XXLB1), but it just won't finish flashing in Odin.
It goes like this:

Yeah, by looking a little bit around, seem everyone who bought their S2 in China has the same issue, but still no answer.
I just read some stuff about using a .pit file. But it's not really clear what it does and what is in it.
Could anyone explain what the .pit file is about.
Could it help with this switching ROM issue?

then i did some research and reckoned i might use the wrong rom, so just finished downloading another version: I9100TDULP9_I9100TVAULP7_I9100TDULP4_HOME.tar
but the issue is exactly same.
i use the rom for PDA, PHONE and CSC, didnt select repartition and not touch PIT either.
the phone is GT-I9100T.
Guys, please help me. i am a noob.
restart pc
kill kies
download the file again preferable from checkfus (builtin curruption check)
put the phone in download mode, connect the cable
put the file in pda.
all the new files i see are one file tar.md5 unless its different fro T
so just put in pda and flash.
edit: do not forget to wipe before nd after for optimal working

the problem was fixed.
it seems i had to put both odin.exe and odin.ill into one folder (i extracted them on the desktop at first) or i should not load the rom file into PDA, CSC and PHONE. as there was only one file, i only needed to load it in PDA.

yes, it is where i downloaded the roms. i guess the first one i got was wrong, the second should be good. thanks.
but now, i have another issue with Kies. even though i used the "official" voda's rom, Kies still reckon "Your device does not support software update via Kies"
any clue?
Kies should work now that you've flashed the Voda ICS rom, however, for some reason (I have no idea why it doesn't work sometimes, perhaps someone else on here does ?), you'll find Kies still doesn't work even tho the stock rom contains the correct CSC, etc.
You could muck around for ages trying to find a solution to this, or you could simply do what most people on here who have found themselves in your situation do & that is to use Odin to flash future stock rom 'updates'.
Regardless of whether Kies works or not now, you do have the most up to date stock rom available for Voda, so you won't need to flash another stock rom until Voda issue another update (last one before recent ICS was in November).
Get the PC version of Checkfus, and when Voda do issue another update, you'll be able to easily download same & flash it via Odin.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS ADVICE! Odin failed for me after several attempts, which scared the crap out of me as it was my first time flashing a ROM on my SGS2...
Since there's only one file in the downloaded ROM, you only need to specify the file in the PDA section!!! That's it so simple... the guides need to be updated!!

[Q] Problem with pit part after flashing 4.2.1 of leak rom

Guys, first of all, if there's an answer for my q in previous posts I apologize and thank beforehand for the directions.
This is the deal, i flashed this rom in my gs3 intl version over mobile odin.
Everything went well, loaded fine and all, and the phone overall is working fine, the issue is, as i tried to inject root over odin on my pc, odin returned me the error "no pit partition" and failed.
Same thing happened as i tried to flash again my previous oficial rom.
Is there any solution for this? Can i get root? How do i go back to my ofw?
Thanks Thanks thanks and sorry again for my inexhaustible search.

Hi
you are trying to root 4.2.1. so check if your cfroot version is correct. (CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar)
And how are u flashing official rom? which files are u using?
i'm using that root file you mentioned.

Are you saying softbricked not booting or just that Kies no longer recognizes firmware due to conflicting firmware codes ??

Not booting, stuck at the "Firmware update has encountered an issue..." screen.
Can get into download mode only, not recovery. Cant flash cuz NAND write error fails on odin.
Thread reads as Nand damaged probably due to partition information table part of the nand faults .
