I swear by vignette great pictures and also enables auto flash for the phone.

Yes, I do.
Also have this with Vignette (I downloaded the demo to try).
They both seem to be superior to the stock app, however without zooming functionality, they don't make full use of their potential.

Hy,im a newb on the site.
I have my Xperia X10i for about a year now,and i have almost everything done on it,started from 1.6,now here with all sorts of roms
i have from root to BL unlocked using latest kernels n basebands.
Personally,in my opinion,keeping stock froyo(2.1) is the best camera rom,because of the optimization...and then,best camera app i think is vignete....so far didnt find anything better.
Now im using M&Ms miui FXP kernel and i have to admit stock camera app is out of focus,hence,vignette is out of focus too..wether i use macro or any other mod...its so bad i need a revolver...and yesterday i rolled back to 2.1 froyo and the difference in macro is HUGE.now im trying to find some compromise.
1.Does any1 know if GB(2.3.3) has the same camera precision as older 2.1 froyo? i heard complaints with 720p recordings....
2.Can you use a mutual baseband between the 2?.Im pretty shure you can use 2.3.3 with .71 baseband,exactly the one that fxp kernel uses so you can "dual boot" via cwm the CAMERA ROM( some stock rom...) and your CUSTOM ROM(for normal use)
3.Can you mod 2.1 to work with .71 baseband???

I think .71 would work only on 2.3.3 and not 2.1
I dont find my camera so out of focus. I am using cm7zmod and its working fine. I just compared pic between my X10 running cm7zmod and my dad's x10 running 1.6(donut lol).
The problem is you are using rom based on cm7 by fxp which has some problem with camera with focus I guess. You should use stock based roms which have original camera app/libs which is the best
btw 2.1 is eclairs not froyo

HDR Camera is awesome, I just wish my hands here more steady. I always get very slight smudges in the composite image due to jitters.
That said, I usually use Vignette with the 'image stabilisation' turned on. It doesn't do anything fancy other than use the motion sensor to wait until the phone's being held still enough to take the shot.

I think only vignette has currently a auto flash function for X10, not that great but working.
This is a EXELLENT fix of the CM10 camera
I made it into a flashable zip file so users can all get it working in custom roms:victory:

LegacyCamera is just a temporary fix, until the Gallery-Camera app will be fixed fully.

Not possible, this (I;ve just checked) affects nothing to do with the lockscreen. Are you sure that you did not flash something else? What rom did you flash this patch over?
Yeah this zip has nothing to do with the lockscreen.
Now I can use face unlock eventough I see artifacts over the unlocking screen.

No I tested on all JB roms and they ALL don't have this bug.....
Have u tried reinstalling FXP???(Without data wipe)

so there is nothing wrong in the system as other apps are working, there is nothing wrong with the gallery2 code
as stock aosp app is working on other phones(like the nexus), so where does the problem lie?

Need to take a close look
Head over to this page and get Android 4.2 camera AND gallery app working for ICS and JB! (Use the ZIP file link).
Tested working on CM 9.1 stable. Gallery FCs every once in a while when in "Edit" mode! However since LWW doesn't have a gyroscope, I can't really experience PhotoSphere. Try flashing on phones that do have one (like the Xperia S/P/T). Does it work for you?

Presumably, it works on both ICS and JB. Not sure about the full ROM compatibility though. Take a nandroid backup and give it a try. The gallery FCs when Editing a photo.

Yes, IIRC some people in the original thread report it to work on JB too. You could give it a try. Your original camera app remains the same. It's always better to take a backup though!

For some 2011 MDPI devices,like mini or mini pro,CM10 uses the legacy camera as a workaround,so I think it couldn't work for the time being.
As for CM9,i.e. FXP's roms,the 4.2 camera works with a functional preview.But,of course,Photosphere can't work well due to lacking in Gyroscope.

backup ur rom just in case, install it ,set the brightness to below the half and flash a light source into ur sensor and the results are pretty obvious, restore ur backup if u don't like the new als, tried on my xperia mini pro sk17i and it worked, dunno about lww ...

I'm using cm7 unlocked bootloader on st15i(xperia mini) is this work on mini or just mini pro?

it automatically sets ur screen brightness according to ur surrounding light background, we already have this , flash a torch on ur sensor u'll see the screen's brightness increase/dim a bit accordingly, but this is a bit more responsive than stock one

friends mine of modes doesn't affect graphic effects! if before it worked for you, there shall be no problems with it, strictly follow the instruction! it is necessary to delete files which I specified, and to restory APP +DATA! you look a video manual, if someone writes the instruction, I won't be against as I badly talk in English.
Since the author is fine can someone write a guide please?

Didn't worked on mine Xperia P stock ICS .75 fw. Deleted the three apps and restored+data on Titanium. Everything still working but panorama didnt appeared. Trying over the 5.7.2 cybershot mod updated.
Hello, I tried to follow the procedure but it is impossible, when I try to restore 3D Camera 1.0.0 application the titanium backup not end the restore process.
Does anyone can tell me that I can be doing wrong?.
