[Q] New Xperia X10 Mini Pro upgraded to 2.1.1 - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

HI all,
I upgraded my x10 mini pro to 2.1, i have not done any modification for my phone apart from that . I want to customize my phone as much as it can be done(rooting, kernel and stuff).
Please guide me to make my phone interesting.
P.S:- U can term me as a lame guy when it comes to mobiles
Thanks

Actually all of those tutorial has been posted in here, just give it a look around & ya will found it.

Just try using it for rooting and installing xrecovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913136&highlight=script) and to install custom roms, download what do you want, I recommend MiniCM7 Pro by paul-xxx.

As of currently, no full custom roms are possible. Only roms which are based on the stock kernel as the bootloader is locked tight and we have almost succeeded bypassing it, I believe.

Themes

Hi guys
Im back, been a while without XDA devs, but scored a mini pro at work...
I see there is so much themes roms and stuff......
I updated to stock 2.1 v 1
Where can i find nice themes? Or is there a ROM anyone will recommend?
I do not want to brick the device, or loose functionality?
I read the stickies, but seems like the custom ROMS is not fully funtional?
Thanks guys!

[Q] Basic System of Gingerbread

ok, i dont know if this is possible but i think it is... (thats why theres a lot of ROM)
and what are the similarities of these ROMs?
"GingerBread Firmware" Right
-GingerDx have this
-MiniCm have this
-ArcMini have this
-and all the X10 Mini Rom
i maybe a newbie but i think everyone starts being a newbie
there are many ROMs for X10 Mini...
just want to know
what are the basic system files in all of the rom to run GingerBread on X10 Mini?
-no cyanogen settings
-no modding of visuals (theme, statusbar etc...)
-no apps
just the system files to run GingerBread on X10 Mini
because i want to retain original X10 Mini features...
maybe some of stock apps will not work if i will do this but thats ok, i will try to find out some compatible apps if this thing is possible...
maybe someone may ask me if why i am asking this...
my answer is i just want to provide a stock-looking ROM without heavily modding it...
hope sumone could help me about this if this is possible...
thanks...

Flash new mini rom on old mini?

Hi,
when I posted this, I did not see a thread on this already, so no attacking!!
I'm sure it's been looked at, I don't think it's novel, but what would happen if you flashed the new SE Mini rom on the old mini? Why would it break? (I'm guessing) because it's just a rom. Would we need to see the new mini get a custom kernal (has it already?) with inbuilt recovery? then flash kernal with recovery then new mini rom?
If posting this, an existing post did not come up, then maybe this hasn't been discussed? Just trying to learn, no attacking....
I don't understand, do you wan't to update or what?
Assuming you mean the 2010 X10 Mini pro and the 2011 Mini Pro, then surely it won't work because the hardware is different (even though the form factor is same/similar).
Yeah I mean update the 2010 Mini with 2011 Mini ROM.
I know some of the hardware is different, but why is it not possible? 2011 Mini now has a battery, faster processor and more RAM...but that really stops a ROM being flashed? SE in their 2011 ROMS still use Android...they just skin it and add a few apps. Why couldn't we at least pluck things out, if not copy/imitate/directly flash such a ROM?
We already have Gingerbread working on the old U20i, so what would you be trying to do? Re-invent the wheel?
You'd need to find/write new drivers for the hardware, which is currently the stalling point with porting ICS on this device.

There it is...that's it...gingerB is avail. on CyanoG. Mind you, notice the pattern of people moving away from official SE stuff for a long time, anything but SE, now look at the forum, full of threads about how to get Arc/X10/Neo/New mini stuff. Apparently the demand is there.
I'm using E10i, I've no idea what roms are available for U10i/20 etc.

[Q] MiniCM rom with 4g/Wimax support

Hi all,
I have been trying different MiniCM mods on my X10 mini. Currently im using MiniCM7 2.2.0 and I just love it ! I have also been reading a lot of threads, but haven't found any information regarding X10 mini with 4g/Wimax support. I've seen a few threads with CM7 rom that has Wimax included, but none that's made for the X10 mini.
My question is:
Is there any MiniCM rom version that has 4g/Wimax included? Or is there any other rom you can use on an X10 mini that has 4g/Wimax support? Or is that phone not capable of running 4g/Wimax and there will never exist such MiniCM rom?
Best Regards!
Ponderosa
The answer is simple
In order to use 4G/Wimax, the phone needs to have a chip capable of accessing those protocols, and our X-whatever-phone-u-have, ie, at least the 2010 models don't have that capability and it's not possible to emulate that in software.
If you need it, you'll need to get a phone that states it supports it, and in that case, it will also do it on the stock firmware it comes with

[Q] Installing X8 stock rom on X10 mini pro

Hi,
I have been porting roms for sometime now from the X8 development section to my X10 mini pro. Mostly they are GB or JB roms using naA kernel. But whenever i am trying to port roms made for X8 stock kernel to my device, i am not able to succeeI would like to understand if it is possible to do so?
If yes, can someone let me know which part of system folder should i have to concentrate on. I am still noob in this development world and trying to learn this way.
So please excuse me if someone is not pleased with my approach.
