No audio calls problem!!! - Motorola Photon 4G

So I just ditched my EVO the other day and picked up this bad boy
I have the latest everything prl profile...
I believe I have the latest software from moto ....it ends with MR1
Correct me if Im wrong
Problem. Is when I make or receive phone calls I get no audio what so ever....only fix I have found is rebooting the phone
I have read a little round here. Sounds like im not the only one....I also have another photon as well. From a different store...my girl and I both have one.....hers does the same thing
Sprint told me this was a known issue and the problem is with Motorola software and are waiting for a update
I read somewhere bout a oem software upgrade that u could manually dl and install ...and further read that they already started implementing in a OTA ....my phone says its up to date...am I tight. Do I have the newest software? ??
If I do I have the newest software ....well the problem still happens....a few times a day....super frustrating
Let me know

So what is the next option if you like samsung phones. Droid Charge or Galaxy S II (If it ever makes it to verizon).
If it makes u feel better its not a noob question imo jus cuz wen I bought my fascinate way back wen it came n the guy at verizon told me 4g would be backwards compatible n that I would have it wen it came out... Guess they were as informed about 4g at the time as they were bought the new froyo 2.2 w flash that was goin 2 be released at the end of that month lol.... Verizon reps suck

My girlfriend's mom just did the ota a few days ago and has lost all 3g... She's out of state so I don't have much more information, but I was wondering if this is a documented issue or anyone has any ideas on how to fix it.
Thanks all!

Motorola Looking for Testers for Photon

https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/58901?tstart=0
I've already registered.
Interesting. I wonder if they are going to push out the updates for testing that Yay already has posted in our development section, or if it might be something much more interesting - like ICS. Could be fun!
You don't say... who knows? Google might want to launch several devices with ICS at the same time.
Just signed up for it. If I get it and anything promising comes up I'll see what I can do about getting it to the rest of the community
Thanks for the heads up

That shows sprint and Motorola see the potential in the photon and want to continue making it better. Get us the DROID 3 blur and i'll be a happy camper.
I like the os that came with this phone. It doesn't really feel that bloated. Honestly it feels a lot like the vanilla gb rom I ram on my shift, just without the full customization

Motorola Feedback Network Pre-release.

Looks like Motorola is soliciting testers for a new OTA. Makes we wonder if this is for 198_7 that we have had for a long time.
I signed my stock photon up and will see what happens. Last time I got 198_6 a whopping 4 days before it was released to the wild.
Sent from my MoPho. All typos are the phones fault.
I remembering them asking for beta testers last year around September/October.
I wonder if this is a separate batch of testers or the same group from then.
They redid the forums recently so I think you have to resign up
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I think you have you sign up each time. All my info was still in the form. I changed my esn to the wife's phone since I am not stock by any means. She'll be the guinea pig for this one.

I'll post back when my update is done. I just started it about one minute ago. I never rooted my G2, so I'm not really concerned about it bricking. It does say on my screen that it is currently updating software 1/2, so it appears that the update is two files.

Oh okay, anyway glad that you did not get a brick . I know its not your responsibility to write in the OP something like.
"Even though I am showing you a rooted phone before pressing or not pressing the update button. I am not gonna update because I am rooted. "
Maybe it could have saved problems for the other guy in here.
Anyway enough of the OT lets get some info about the update

I don't know about this phone, but on a couple previous phones you could do it by modifying the fingerprint in the build.prop to match the new update.
