i read somewhere that if u root and unlock ur bootloader, then lock ur bootloader again, and do an update, it would unroot the device, is that true?

Can somebody point me, to a thread that has SBF, modified with removed bootloader stuff? (of att gingerbread version)
I have unlocked BP, and dont want to "update" it.
I dont want to use cwm/fruitcakes or something else.
I want to make a new clean install.
On superthread on dev stickies section, users says that all sbfs are locked.

Ok so i have a st15a.and when i enter the *#*#7378423#*#* code it says: "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" Does this means my bootloader can't be unlocked with any method? I read only CDMA phones can't be unlocked but mine's a GSM. How do i know if my bootloader is locked or unlocked? Sorry, posted in the wrong section can some mod pls move it? My bad.
is yours SIM locked?
That could be the reason why you can not unlock the bootloader.

Use the official method to unlock the bootloader. It is the safest, but you will lose your drm keys - not that it makes much of a difference. This is the link - http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions

Need to know more about your phone. In order to unlock bootloader your phone must to be factory unlocked. If so you can get steps from sony they will provide you a unlock code for the bootloader unlock process. If your phone is carrier locked you need to unlock your phone first and then you only can unlock the bootloader through special tools using sites like omnius.
