and that (512mb) can be 4 times the price (£200)
neva mind
thanks again martin

Yeh, its more complex to get that kind of capacity onto the same size chip. Plus its all about demand... more they sell, lower the prices.
Still i heard some 1Gb cards should be here by next year!
If you are buying SD cards, read this thread or you might end up buying a crap card...

not all SD cards are the same, actually, there are huge differences.
oh right....ok

ram 2gb on ebay!

Hey guys, I found this on ebay... it's very expensive!
is it fine to install without soldering?
Yes, it do not soldering, is a RAM module how original, only that 2GB.
I just received my RAM replacement from the MEM-STORE eBay and this new unit works as expected without "blue screens" or other issue. Now my HTC Shift run as never before as I have 128 GB SSD G-Monster PhotoFast 128Mb/s read and 90Mb/s write speed and this 2GB RAM. Windows 7 Ultimate + Windows Mobile 6 Professional (Thaihugo Light ROM).
GPS + Phone + 3G/HSDPA + 128GB SSD + 2GB RAM = GREAT!
Now is just a "revived" device with new performance!
Just seen this! It almost makes me want to get a shift, but £200 for 2GB of RAM! WTF!!

One X+ with removable battery and Micro SD?

Hey guys, this is the reason I didn't pick up a One X. I'm waiting for the quad core CPU with LTE compatibility, removable battery and expandable memory.
Do you think the One X+ will fit these criteria? If the battery is over 2200 Mah I don't really care about Removable battery. But an 1800Mah, I mean come on HTC.

Doubt it will have either unless the design is different or its thicker.

The battery isn't bad now either, only charge it at night, about 3-4 hours onscreen time, unless you are a gamer ofc.
What are you planning on putting on your sdcard, isn't 32GB enough? I have about 10GB free, multiple movies and episodes of series. About 15 games, and maybe 30 apps on it.
The only reason I see is LTE and upgraded CPU, however with Faux kernel my phone is max 1,5GHz at Quad-Core, and if you are lucky and get a variant 3 it works at 1,6GHz Quad-Core.
And there's no chance that it's gonna have removable battery, maybe a removable sdcard at most. I'm pretty damn sure they are gonna stick with unibody design, it's sexy as hell!

There's only three hard facts. Everything else is heresay. Fact 1: There's an Evita (XL) variant with a 1.7GHz Teg3 chip and Nvidia Icera LTE radio running JB that's been seen in benchmarks during its testing. It's going to be an AT&T phone. Fact 2: T-Mobile U.S. is going to launch a new HTC phone with a sales code of Era42 in September. Fact 3: A 5" 1080P HTC phablet has shown up in benchmarks during testing heading to Verizon.
Stuff in the UK has said they've heard from "insiders" that there will a C2 version of the One X (Endeavor HSPA) that will have a 1.7GHz Teg3 chip and an "improved" battery coming in October. If you believe that they also said that it will work with existing accessories so don't expect any physical changes like a removable SD card.
I think it will get the evo 4g battery not removable plus SD card slot.

Removeable battery I don't need (in about a year or 2 I buy a new phone anyway and it could be better of course but there's nothing wrong with the battery performance atm).
Micro SD I don't need (plenty of memory atm and same reason as 1, in about a year or 2 I buy a new phone which will have more memory anyway).
A faster processor, cool!
more battery more weight

I'm really looking forward to the so rumored 5' HD Quad Krait HTC phablet, but One X+ came out sooner.
Got me with my hand tied, i will try to take it easy and wait for the 5' HD Phablet, but I really need to replace my good old Desire HD.
Still i think that both phones, phablet and X+, won't have removable battery and expansable mSD.
One X has been confirmed withouth removable battery and expansable mSD.
Sad that HTC after 8 years of using their phones forced me to buy Samsung which I hate.
Unfortunately me and as I think many others prefere as much space for data as possible. Top model without mSD slot? Joke.

Yeah, because 64 GB standard is a joke, everyone blows through that just setting up the device.

Apart from crapberry. Android is the only mobile OS that supports micro SD cards. And even then the majority of devices can only use 32GB cards. 64GB is ample space for any device.

Agree! As much as I would prefer a MicroSD slot on the One X, surely 64 gb is more than enough for most people!
Sent from my soon to be replaced HTC Desire (by a HTC One X +)
Agreed that 64GB should be plenty for anyones needs, also that the improved battery capacity should make sure a day of medium use is easy.
Anyone complaining about these being "missing features" is just being plain greedy !!!
64gb is a lot compared to the 8gb it looks like the "Nexus 4" is getting!
Nexus 4 will also have the sub par camera optics of the optimus g. Doesn't look like a nice phone at all.

Yep, I am almost in the same position as you, so close to buying the LTE Samsung (except I hate the screen colours "The Only Reason") I am a photographer and like to show case some of my photos on the phone.
I need a phone very soon to replace my lost phone, and some things just bug me with HTC, not international LTE in there flagship phone like most other manufacturers. And the lack of SD card, may be I wouldn't care if the device supported USB 3, so I could upload my music collection in 2 hours (card reader) vs a whole day (through phone). I have always taken my class 10 card out of the phone to transfer files with my USB 3 UDMA card reader because it takes far less time and I can continue to use the phone and take it around while I am waiting for the transfer to complete.

Agreed, that is plenty of storage for most, but stupidly slow interface to transfer potentially 64Gb of data

Wrong internal memory size

Hi all!
I am a new HAM2 L03 owner, I purchased the phone used on eBay, but I've seen something curious, the internal memory is displaying as it was 8 gb, but this phone is supposed to have 16 gb internal memory, can you guys help me with this issue?
I'm attaching a screen shot of the internal memory.
There was an 8Gb model sold at WalMart for a short period of time. This is probably one of those. I can tell you it cannot be updated to Lollipop, yet. Check your eBay auction and see if it was advertised as 16Gb. It is actually most likely the reason it was sold off. Sorry for the bad news.

Thank you for this information, this is surely bad news for me ! Besides internal memory is there any other difference with the 16 gb one?
Thank you!

I was under the impression that it was the exact same as the 16 gb and the only difference was the 8 gb storage. Not sure, though, as I don't have the 8 Gb.
Thank you two for your help! according to one image on the link that xordos provided, the Mate 2 Slim has a 3740 mAh battery compared to the regular 3900 / 4100 mAh battery that the HAM2 has, I think it's not a very big difference. I've been using the cellphone since thrusday and I coulndn't be happier, I don't think I can go back to another cellphone that wouldn't provide at least the same battery life and doesn't have the same screen size. I payed $120 USD for it, so I won't complain to the seller (I think this is a good price) if someone is reading this and has doubts about the slim version, my opinion is if you get a really good price, go for it!!!
Curious. How much room does that leave you for apps? If you find its not enough. Root plus link2sd app works great.

If I recall correctly, it is 1.9 gb usable for apps. I will need to use link2sd!

It will work fine until the ram gets loaded up.
Virtual ram doesn't have near the bandwidth needed and cuts into the internal memory bandwidth, a double whammy. With scoped storage already stealing cpu cycles you don't want anything else slowing it down.
Go with 12gb or more and be happy. The battery consumption is minimal. This ancient Note 10+ is a beast; large ram counts and helps increase the longevity of the device. A N10+ will eat the S22U 8gb alive once the ram get loaded up.
To answer your question, yes the Find N has it. It is called "RAM Expansion"
Once enabled you have 3, 5 and 7GB options (at least on the 12/512 variant anyway)

How much were you looking at spending on an 8/256?
