1. with Flashtool flash X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733
2. root + install xrec with flashtool
3. install rom with xrec

So yes, your method would work but there are no longer any firmwares posted in the thread you linked to (all dead links). I'm sure you could find one though- there is an x10a FW in the rollout thread...
Or try this thread if you want to just root the 2.1 rom & install xrec and install a custom rom from there.

Thanks for that link, thats what i was looking for

Flash the Stock Rom with Flash tool .2.8
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Will running SEUS do it all?
From where can I get the stock ROM? I am from India and need to Flash the original Indian stock ROM
Use X10i Generic
Generic version 2.1update1 build 2.1.A.0.435 !
I dont think there's any special difference ?
Thanks! Also I checked on a thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=975692 In the first reply, it is mentioned that a repair from SEUS will do the trick. Can this be done?
yes, it can do the trick too

[Q] Can SE 2.3.3 be rooted??

I'm sorry if this has been covered, I've been off the scene for a while so flame me by all means! I have read through the forum but cannot find anything directly relating to this.
I used Doomlords files to upgrade to 2.3.3, installed the image with xRecovery and then flashed the files with Flashtool. Been using for the last couple of days but today I flashed the phone with SEUS and have lost root. Numpty!
Can I root SE 2.3.3 or do I need to downgrade to back to generic 2.1 and reinstall Doomlords files to have root again??
All I want is stock SE 2.3.3 but with root!
I hope the root wil be here soon the last time they rooted it in a day...

Thanks for the quick reply, downloading generic 2.1 now!
np^^ I just flashed Wolfbreaks GB now, since it has everything included, should be working well, I don't think it makes any difference if it's prerooted or "post"-rooted.

Hi there...
Yes as Wolf says in his thread...
You will need any working room as installing Wolf's rom will pretty much erase and overwrite everything but I have experienced some troubles using any other room first...
So my recomendation is:
- Install stock update from SEUS, if you are NOT able to update via SEUS try Installing a stock firmware from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Then try debranding or re-branding your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824711&highlight=debrand
Then use SEUS to download/repair your stock firmware...
Latest flash tool will allow to Root and Install Xrecovery... the you are good to go.
Install Wolf's via Xrecovery, take out the battery and then flash BaseBand...
Install patches again and thats it...
Hope this works to clarify things up ^^
hey.... really thank you to come to help me
im really poor with this knowledge and im learning things now
What is SEUS ?
Is stock firmware install using flash ?
Why we need to debranding ? is it must to do ?
is this correct
1. install 2.1 using flash
2. Debranding
3. SEUS ( ? ) to repair the software
4. Root using flash tool
5. install Xrecovry
6. Install Wolf's via Xrecovery
7. take out the battery and then flash BaseBand
8. install V3 speed tweek using xrecover
9. install additionals using xrecovery
am i correct ?
please sorry for my poor knowledge im trying to learning things
thank you so much
if u have stock firmware u can install using Flash or else use SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service)
.. and ya ur steps are correct !!!
hope it works!!
jus thank me if i help ya out !! lol
HI. I have a similar query. I upgraded to GB from DooMLoRD's guide.
1) I dont know whether my phone is rooted or not. Can u tell me a way to do it.
2) I am not able too boot into xrecovery. I am trying my best to press back button but no use.
3) I just want to upgrade to wolf's latest ROM. And for that I need xrecovery working.
Thank you so much :d:d:d:d:d:d:d

[Q] Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 to 7.1 xrecovery problem.

I'm attempting to install the new Zmod Cyanogenmod 7.1 but am encountering problems with xrecovery unable to read the SD/card when installing. Supposidly the new version of xrecovery will fix my issue but when I looked at the thread listed "2.3 STOCK ROM" as a requirement.
Now I cant update to the official 2.3.3 rom as im on O2UK, but I'm currently running Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 (on baseband 0.52) so will I still be ok to update to the new version of xrecovery?
Also just a quick question as its been a while since I installed a new rom, it's baseband first (any .71?). My phone will still be rooted, busybox still installed, etc, as I've done all this before? Then install new .zip via xrecovery?
(I've already read the newbie threads so please don't just point me there, simple yes/no answers will suffice. I'm just a little confused about going from custom install to custom install.)
edit: could this be a problem with going from a 0.52 baseband to a 1.71? This thread talks about 0.54 but could it be something simiar? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053221
install xRecovery-0.3 (GBready) using flashtool
Here is the guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196808
He needs to install baseband .71, better if he just installed gb and root it.
from 2.1 or 2.2 baseband less then 2.1.71
u need flash 2.3.x room 1st after that use flash tools flash baseband 2.1.71....
if from 2.1/2.2 u flash baseband 2.1.71 after flash the 2.3.x rom that xrecovery cant use anymore,
u neef flash via flash tool to baseband to 2.1.67, do it from 2.1/2.2 as well
7.03 android 2.2.3 baseband 2.1.67
7.10 android 2.3.5 baseband 2.1.71

So install the zmod 7.1 .zip through my current version of xrecovery first, then use flashtool to upgrade the baseband to .71, root and then install the new xrecovery (as in the first reply)?

I might give this a try first as at least I'll have a fully working x-recovery before I start. After I've installed it this way can I go back to my 0.52 baseband and CMod 7.0.3 if I want?

Well I installed xrecovery via the instructions on that link and my phone is now stuck on the SE loading screen. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid as my phone is not running stock 2.3.3. Can I have a fix please!
edit: Ok got it working by installing the .zip and flashing the .71 baseband. Thanks.

Update your phone to 2.1 using the Sonu Update Service or PC Companion first, because you need the latest baseband-firmware...
Then check to see if you can successfully unlock your bootloader.
If it unlocks succesfully, flash nAa-13 or nAa-14 kernel with flashtool and install the MiniCM7-2.2.1 ROM from your sd-card
If you can not unlock your bootloader, install an older Gingerbread ROM like MiniCM7-2.0.7, which runs on stock kernel but also includes App2SD. It can be found in nAa's Google-code page.
1-my device already 2.1
2-how can i unlock the bootloader?
3-how i do flash nAa-13 or nAa-14 kernel with flashtool and install the MiniCM7-2.2.1 ROM from your sd-card?
4-if i install an older Gingerbread ROM like MiniCM7-2.0.7, which runs on stock kernel but also includes App2SD. It can be found in nAa's Google-code page.

You can unlock the bootloader from the plugin-menu in flashtool if it is safe to do so... there is a tutorial on how to check that...
You put the nAa-kernel file in the firmwares folder where you installed flashtool, then you choose the flashbutton, select the kernel and follow the instructions.
Before that, put your ROM on your SD-card so it is accessible.
If you look at the MiniCM7 thread, and click on the DOWNLOADS text it will send you to nAa's google-code page where you can find the older versions too.
If you want to try that, Root your phone with Flashtool, then install xRecovery with Flashtool and then flash the ROM from your sd-card.
thanks for help brother, i already did root so what is the fastest way to do it?
