What's the difference between "Always off" and "in the dark"
in the settings - display - touch key light duration ?
always off - turned off always
in the dark - when light sensor detects low light ambient, turns on buttons' light

Usually, the light sensor is used for adapting the screen/display light/brightness in relation to the environment light/brightness.
At least when you have enabled auto-brightness in menu "Settings" > "Display" > "Auto-Brightness".
So, the screen brightness will be reduced in the darkness to safe battery power.
If you have disabled the light sensor, you should also disable auto-brightness and set a fixed birghtness level.

Hi!
Is there a way to extend the light time of three touch buttons bellow the screen - menu, home, back. Light last just couple of seconds. When surrounding light is good - light on these keys don't work at all - probably some kind of light sensor. Can I make light on these keys to work all the time and light duration to be the same as display light duration time.
I saw that some phones have settings for that, but my phone haven't. Is maybe there some apps which can do that?

i ask myself if it would be possible to program the capacitve button leds (without running an app), for example to make them dim after X sekonds, but let them lit on all the time.
Even greater would be, if they would lit up automaticically after the light sensor recognizeses that it´s dark and turn them off automatically , too.

The red light OFF when I locked this phone, and when I unlock this phone using fingerprint or press power button, suddenly the red light ON. I have the adaptive brightness screen turned off before. Turn off the auto brightness option
Turning off adaptive brightness is not working and it looks more like a feature than bug. (Proximity sensor gets active on lock screen or after data/wifi use to detect if flip cover is covering the screen or not?)

The phone itself does not have a LED notification so you can use AoD Norify app as way to get effect on notifications or use the edge lightning that is built into the OneUI

Go to Settiggs - Accessibility - Advanced settings - Flash notification.
There you can choose, screen or LED to flash and also choose for which apps you want to be notified.
