[Poll] What Are You Running? - Motorola Droid X2

This Is Just A Poll To See Where People Are And If You'd Like You Can Post Why. Also This Is A Great Place To Show Off What You've Done Theme Wise.
I'm Running The Pre-Rooted Gingerbread With A Whole Bunch Of Tweaks To The Build.Prop. I'm Using All 3 Scripts From Zeppelinrox. I Used UOT Kitchen And Made My Own Theme. With The Theme I'm Using LauncherPro With Their 3D Icon Pack. Below I've Attached What My Theme Looks Like And Showing The 3D Icons.

Same Difference In A Way. Same Developer. You Made The Right Choice.

I am running Eclipse v0.2.2. I have adw launcher EX. I changed the ERI banner. I have navenedrob's init.d hack but I edited his script by removing some tweaks and only keeping the CPU freq tweak, SD read ahead and the IO tweak. I did that because I am using the V6supercharger and kickasskernal scripts. (You have to remove the tweaks that overlap) Oh and I am using the 3gturbochrager tweak.

I'm running eclipse 2.2 with init.d, 3gt, build.prop. Currently running my custom theme thru adw along with my blackout theme. Going for a wp7 look...sort of...
Also running a few aosp apps such as messaging and gallery (huge improvement)

Looks good, I like your icons for the app drawer and the phone. Did you make them or are they part of the theme package?

It's LauncherPro/LauncherPro Plus' Icon Pack. There's Over 500 Themed Icons. Here's The Market Link.

Ooo LauncherPro Gives Me The Option For 3D Drawer. Hope That Helps.

Yeah I have that check but what I'm trying to do is change the icons on the dock, on the home screen. I can't seem to find the icons. I have everything in stalled but when I try and change the icons it doesn't give me the option to change to the 3d icon pack.

Go Inside LauncherPro's Preferences And Click Theme Settings Then Select The 3D Icon Pack.

Yep, did that but it doesn't change the dock icons to the 3d icons it just keeps the basic launcher pro icons.

Did You Try Restart LauncherPro? Maybe Uninstall Then Reinstall.

Yeah, I tried that. If I press and old the app drawer button it does ask me if I want to change the icon, change shortcut, swipe gesture action. When I choose change icon. It then ask me if I want Launcher Pro icons or custom icons. If I choose Launcher Pro icon it brings up the default icons. if I choose custom it brings up the gallery. Neither bring up the M22-3D icon pack. Thanks for all of your direction I know this is not your program. I just thought there was something I am missing. I guess it could just be the phone.

Go To Your Homescreen Press The Menu Button. Select Preferences Then Select The Theme Settings. Select The Icon Pack.

Did that no change. What I am referring to is the app drawer icon on the home page that launches the app drawer. The icons inside the app drawer are 3d. Sorry to keep beating a dead horse.

im using the p3droid and then froze a bunch of stuff that i saw was listed. for some reason eclipse just feels slow and it scored about 300 lower on smartbench.

Desire theme for X10 Mini

Now that the X10 Mini has been rooted, can someone make an HTC Desire theme, with icons and wallpaper?
I have tried Pandahome, aHome, xHome etc but none of them change the icons, they only change the Settings and Internet icons.
There is adw launcher in market and different themes, which have different icons.
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
Well, I tried ADW but it did not theme the icons.
You dont need root to change the icons and wallpaper.
Wallpaper i guess you know already.
To change the Icons you need Bettercut and preferably Open Home from the same developer.
You will need a Market enabler if you are not able to buy apps currently to see those apps cause i believe both are pay-apps.
And I'm asking again.
I rooted the phone and still theming is nowhere.
aHome, PandaHome, xHome, BetterCut, ADW Launcher DO NOT WORK. They only theme the YouTube, Browser and Settings icons. Can I do something else? As I said, I've already rooted the phone so I can do anything you want me to.
ADW launcher v. 1.1.3 have a sweet option for custom shortcuts.
It let you create a shortcut on the homescreen, and let you choose a custom name and picture for the icon.
it works great for giving your homescreen a special look

You are talking about changing the icon inside the App-Drawer? Then i agree , you can't change them with the launchers and so on. ADW.Launcher does theme more of them thant you are describing. Probably all icons , BUT it is the icon pack that must have the appropriate icons for the apps you want to have themed. I am just now running the Sticker pack for ADW and there are a lot more themed icons.
Bettercut and so on can only (as far as i know) theme them when you make a shortcut on one of your homescreens.
Whatever this has to do with a Desire theme though i have no idea.

how to change launcher pro menu icons?

i've been trying to use themes, and noticing that with launcherpro, after you press menu on the home screen, some of the icons don't change along with the new theme. as such, the search, notifications, and preferences icons don't change. does anyone have a way to fix this?

You have to touch a blank spot on the screen. A menu will pop up, hit shortcut then applications. Pick your app then click on the icon and it well ask if you want the default icon or a custom one. You should be able to use any pictures you have in your gallery. You can also google png (fill in the blank) icon pictures and then download them to your sd card.
No he's talking about the icons for the menu options. When you press menu on the homescreen. I believe its because some of the icons call on the system default icons (the default in your case being whatever theme your using) and some come with the app. I think you would have to open the apk and swap out the .pngs with the icons you want to use.
I think...I've never done this, so hopefully someone will come in and fill in the holes that my ignorance couldn't.

yea thats what i meant. here's what it looks like currently. its a honeycomb theme with bionix 1.3.1 and using launcherpro. you can see that some of the icons are the new blue ones, but the rest didnt change.
i tried using ninjamorph to change the the icons, the blue ones are in system/framework, but i dont know where the notification, search, and preferences ones are located. anyone have any clue?
Those specific ones should be located with in the launcher pro apk, if im thinking about thi s correctly. you will need to resign the apk after making my modifications for it to work. Hope this helps

Please Help....THEMES

How to change icons in app drawer without any launcher i am using x10 MP and ROM CM7 2.1.7, also please give some links for transparent themes like CRYSTAL....
The only way to change the icons in the app drawer is to theme each individual app and change the relevant .png file. It's a bit tedious and really only works on system apps.
I'm not sure that's actually what you want to do since you mention not having any launcher. The launcher is the app that gives you the app drawer. If you haven't got one on your phone, the only way you can run any apps is by connecting is by using a PC interface.
I'm guess what you want to do is the change the appearance of the icons on the home screen of the stock SE launcher. That's the screen with the four selectable areas in each corner. If that's what you're after then you're out of luck. Only third-party launchers (like ADW, Go, Zeam, etc) offer the ability to theme the icons on the home screen.
Transparent status bar
yes i better move to MIUI launcher....im using CM7...i have heard many things about making status bar transparent....is there any simple way to patch this....
That depends what you mean by simple..lol
In CM7 there may be an option in the settings app to do that. I don't know if there is or not as I'm using a CM7 port.
Otherwise, you need to modify the statusbar_background.9.png file inside the SystemUI.apk. Change that to transparent, but make sure not to change the pixel thick border or you'll get all sorts of problems, and that will do it.
This also depends on your launcher as some just won't accept a transparent statusbar at all.
LOL
i liked the miui launcher....but now i notice there is no miui launcher for CM7....and for the transparent status bar....let it go....something new will come up im enough happy with the CM7 rom itself....i removed all built in themes...no use for the colours inside just the desktop itself is lovely with widgets and APW....thanks for everything bro
You can get a semi-transparent status bar in Flame.GDX ICS ROM. As for a launcher? Id recommend 360 Launcher.

I want to use the stock ICS icons in the nova launcher, does anyone know how to do this?
So when you add an app to your dock or one of the homescreens, a different icon pops up?
Do you have any icon packs installed?

Download an ADW ICS Theme. This one from KovDev works perfectly. Long press the icon, tap edit, click on the image, select Image File, then select ADW Icons or something like that. Then you'll have the choice of using that ICS icon from there. Works perfectly.
EDIT: You can use any ADW theme this way (at least individual icons) in Nova Launcher. I do it all the time, so I know it works.
EDIT 2: This will only be for individual icons on the homescreen, not in the app drawer.
If you download the icons, you press and hold the app with the icon you want to change, select edit, then click on the icon. From here it will give you an option to pick from the gallery or file browser, just pick the icon file and you're good to go.

Thanks guys worked perfectly. i feel so dumb now.
It would be nice to be able to change multiple icons with a pack, much like launcher pro. :-/

Just installed TheCollective's AoCP 3.1 ROM- a few Q's

Just installed this ROM.
Its really nice. But how do I change the color of the battery, clock and wifi signal icons in the upper right corner of the screen from the ugly orange?
Also, I would like the change the color of the keyboard (which is also the same ugly orange).
I was looking in the settings for over 30 minutes and couldn't figure out how to change these things.
Thanks.
Theme. Orange is stock color for collective.

You mean settings and Themes? I looked there, there is nothing to configure. It only gives me one 1 theme to pick (the Collective theme that has an atomic blast as a wallpaper).
I installed ADW launcher and switched to that launcher. But even after that, the battery and wifi icons in the upper right corner are still orange. And in settings/Themes, it still gives me nothing to configure and only 1 theme to pick (even after installing an ADW theme from Google Play).
Some more suggestions on how to change the icon colors would be appreciated. Thanks.

i did but the icons in the right corner are still orange.
i installed some themes for Go Launcher. And applied them and the icons in the corner are still orange.
when i go on google play and search for android themes its seems like the first 50 listed require GO EX launcher. is there any good theme that doesn't require a special launcher? one that someone can point me to? maybe if i apply a theme that doesn't require a launcher the color of the icons in the corner will not be orange anymore.
i also rebooted my phone a couple of times, that didnt fix the orange color of the icons.

Not familiar with Go Launcher. I'm using Nova Launcher. I like Nova because it lets me backup my screen widgets. Saves a lot time when you flash every new releases. I use the Xperia theme with Nova.
