Changing color of notification bar? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is this possible? I get a notification from MSNBC for example, you see the icon but can't read it as both are black.

[Q] What has caused my icons to change colour?

Can someone please explain why a lot of my icons have turned from radioactive green to a more mustard sort of colour? Icons in question include the ones in the notification "power bar", all check-boxes throughout the system and all the status icons in gtalk to name a few.
SGS2 is completely stock, haven't modded anything at all yet.
See the attached pic. All the icons used to be bright green like the GPS one but after turning them off and then back on again they are now the colour of the sound and auto-rotate icons. If I were to press GPS to turn it off and then turn it back on again it would be the same colour as the other two.
Probably a simple answer but I haven't encountered this in all my years of using Android.
Well the murky green colour spread to my battery status icon as well so I decided to reboot and now all my greens are back to the correct shade. Very weird.

[Q] Text Color

Can someone tell me where the color code is kept for the text in the notification area and the toast buttons?
Specifically the text that is displayed when the clear button is visible in the notification drop down and when the toast popups are displayed..

PLS help Theme Ongoing Notification bar

Ahh pls help. Im pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out. I got it at one point but I'm lost among the hyperdrive tweaks, gravitybox, and wanam settings.
Anyway. How do I change the Ongoing Notification Text bar. Or remove that bar altogether. If not remove it, change the text to black so i dont see "notifications". Im on hyperdrive rls 20. Right now it's stuck at that turquoise green color and says "notifications" I'd like to remove that bar to get screen space back if possible.
Also on the nova screen i have status bar as black, but when i pull down the notification bar it changes to a gray briefly.
Any help is much appreciated.

*Remove* statusbar but keep notification shade?

Hey everyone!
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the statusbar entirely but retain the notification shade. The notification style is beautiful on lollipop and there's honestly no point of that ugly bar at the top of the screen anymore.
I used expanded desktop before but it requires you to go through multiple swipes before the notification shade opens.
Is it possible to remove the statusbar but keep the "one swipe" notifcation shade funtionality?
One way I thought this could work is to reduce the size of the statusbar to nill or just make it invisible and remove all the icons but I can't seem to find a way to do either of those things however.
Any ideas?

Gesture bar colour

Hey, is there a way to make the gesture bar (the one on the bottom) colour different to match notification bar? Or since I'm using dark theme to make the bar dark?
Most of the time gesture bar appears white, like the screenshot I upload right here for example
When open keyboard it's back to normal, merges colours with the rest of the screen

Click to collapse
Just remove it ?
+1 to this. Having the gesture bar background match the notification bar colour would be great
Try "Navbar Apps", "Navbar Tools" or similar apps on Play Store.
It's coming I think. A black bar was included in OP7 Beta 5, so maybe next stable?
I actually just remove it from the screen, in settings. Got used to it, how it works, it's something!
