I have samsung Galaxy S i9003, running Froyo.
The issue that all automated text messages like from my Bank and Service Provider does not open, but a new message View appears.

I have a rooted Galaxy Mini, and recently had to do a factory reset due to some software corruption, everything has been fine up until yesterday, I entered a competition via text on my phone and when I received the reply I was in the process of sending another text, but when I look on the conversations in the messages panel the text doesn't appear. The notification area and the messages icon say I have a new text but I cant see it, and so cant delete it. when I open it it just goes to new message creation.
I have tried a few different apps which have found the message but still cant delete it, I also tried using Kies but that doesnt allow you to view texts.
anyone any idea's?

Try "RemoteWebDesktop" by 'SmartDogStudios" on the Play Store. It lets your PC view your messages

I just came across this WhatsApp widget for Root which is able to display recent messages. I was wondering how the developers managed to get the data from WhatsApp.
As of now, I can think of three possible ways:
a) The widget refreshes its contents whenever it detects activity on the WhatsApp message database.
b) The widget "hooks" methods that get called in one of WhatsApps activities when new messages arrive and mirrors the messages into its own database.
c) The widget listens for push messages with the WhatsApp signature or listens for traffic between WhatsApp and their servers.
I use the termin "hooking" because of the way iOS tweaks are written, I have no idea if this is possible on Android. Which way is more likely? Any suggestions are appreciated
Let me elaborate on the background of my question: I noticed that WhatsApp groups new messages as a single item in the notification window. I'm thinking about selling my iPhone and getting an Android phone, but I would like to have a preview of all incoming messages like iOS's notification center.

It's minor but annoying. When sending a new text message, the message goes to the very top of the message string instead of showing the last messages sent. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm rooted and using the native text messaging app on S4.

Whenever i receive a message,in Whatsapp or FB app or any other application in which the message length is more than 200 characters,the application either crashes or doesnt display the message(it displays the message from the top but as soon as i scroll down to see the full message,the message disappears).:crying:
So i want to ask if any other phone has the same issue and is there any fix for the issue?

hello i own the samsung galaxy s watch. the best watch. unfortunately samsung did not bring a real successor to the design. But I have a problem. the whatsapp notification have been empty since the last wearable update. without text. notification comes and I can answer. unfortunately there is no text in it. it's just whatsapp. the other apps work. the message from Samsung was very unsatisfactory. can someone help me?
I would also like to know , if it is possible to view the actual text from Whatsapp on the Notification screen
